  1. Why do you put foolish statements into people's mouths and pretend it's going to go unnoticed? It's cheap and often shows an unwillingness to debate something. Bandit never came close to stating the Bills are fine at LT. What he did say, is that the line as whole was decent at run blocking. Which is a very accurate statement and one that punches a tremendous hole in your assumption that our new "waterbug" will get swatted at the line. I'm not going to even address your Bulaga theory. It's possible sure but nothing more than a blind guess. Obviously, the Bills are exploring ways to upgrade the LT position. I would imagine half the NFL would like to upgrade their LT position.
  2. Marshawn to Buffalo Bills "I don't give a **** about this team" per his actions.
  3. 1. IMO, Reggie Bush is a difference maker in this league. He happens to play on a team that is loaded with difference makers and has had some injuries as well. I find it strange that one of the posters claimed he is selfish. The Saints are loaded with talent and also equally loaded with unselfish team players. CJ Spiller is said to be the ultimate team first kind of guy, and in my mind the type of player that teams like the Colts and Saints would covet. 2. CJ Spiller has the ability to make our QB and O-line better. Forget about the obvious comparisons in Bush and Chris Johnson. Look no further than what Jerome Harrison did for the Browns last year. Harrison had that putrid Browns offense moving at the end of the season. A guy like Felix Jones makes a tremendous difference for the Cowboys and when he's not healthy you see a big difference. Darren Sproles has won games for the Chargers in the past, the types of games where absolutely nothing was working. It only takes a few long plays or even just a few scares, for a defense to sit back a little longer. Without that real homerun threat, defense can just pin their ears back and attack. Spiller will make everyone better, even his fellow RBs. I love the idea of Spiller outside and Jackson or Lynch in the backfield. He can take the bite out of alot of defenses. 3. Get over the pick! Yeah, I know Bill Polian this and Bill polian that, you build from the lines out blah blah blah blah. It's the same regurgitated crap from some of you. Why is it so hard for some to think outside the box? Their are lots of ways to skin a cat and build a winning football team. You can swear to one specific way if you want but you make yourself look simple doing that. Look around the league and you will find many different styles that work. You know what the best way to build a football team is? Aquire the best talent. CJ Spiller was the best player available at 9 according to the Bills and most experts but it won't stop the honks from speculating about what Polian or Parcells would have done.
  4. I'd consider the season a success if a few of our top two picks establish themselves. The lack of production from the top of the drafts is the biggest reason why they can't win. 2010 Spiller- ? Troupe ? 2009 Maybin- showed very very little Wood- showed promise but coming off injury 2008 McKelvin- has flashed talent but hasn't been consistent enough yet. Also coming off injury Hardy- has shown little and coming off injury 2007 Lynch- His career in Buffalo is in jeopardy. Talented but stupid/immature Posluszny- A decent player when healthy but could benefit or regress in the new scheme. 2006 Whitner- Never lived up to draft position but has been adequate, despite the lack of big plays. Battling for starting position in camp. McCargo- Bust thus far and not likely to be on the team IMO. The team needs some of these players to really start producing.
  5. 1 of 3 players of ALL-TIME to record 100 or more tackles in his first 10 seasons. Some of you posters need to lay off the glue. So far we have below average LB and missed more tackles than he made. Zach Thomas was never the best LB in the league but he was very good for a long time. Consistency should be acknowledged, especially when you are the MLB of a defense that was really good for most of a 12 year career. For being such a bum, that Dolphins defense had a nice stretch of being elite.
  6. It's amazing that Thomas pulled the wool over the NFL's eyes and played 12 seasons in the league. I guess it goes to show you, NFL scouts should be logging into TSW for accurate player evaluations. These same clowns voted him a 5 time All-Pro and onto 7 Pro-Bowl teams. What a waste, considering he's average at best according to Max.
  7. Was it TT who said he was disrespected by current players in the lockerrom? I can't remember but I believe the rumors where that Lynch supposedly disrespected TT. I don't know if this was the start of the bad blood or as a result of TT's comments. The Lynch situation is on the thinnest of ice and his play isn't distracting anyone.
  8. "Field of Dreams" makes me tear up every time I watch it. How can you not get the feeling in your stomach, when Ray asks his father for a game of catch? "Hoosiers" is the other movie on that list that gets to me. Gene Hackman and Dennis Hopper are absolutely fantastic in that movie. Dennis Hopper is one of my all time favorites and my thoughts go out to him. The world will have a lost a talented entertainer when he goes. "Without Limits" hasn't been mentioned yet and I think it deserves recognition. It's a really solid movie about Steve Prefontaine featuring Billy Crudup and Donald Sutherland. I'm not sure if many people have seen it but it's a nice watch.
  9. IMO, this kid did something stupid and should be punished accordingly. Reasonable Punishment -team suspension -apology issued to team -loss of any captain privileges or special honors -counseling from coaching staff and parents Unreasonable Punishment -getting ass kicked -name made public in the media -public humiliation -damage to future All this talk of disrespecting vets and the flag is just ridiculous. A highschool kid gave into peer pressure and did something immature. Why is this news?
  10. Oh No! Those ruthless Bills fans are running someone out of town again! Buffalo is full of internet tough guys and cowards! I hope all these scorned players end up in a place free of a-holes and scrutiny!
  11. I don't hate Donte Whitner. I just think he is an average NFL safety.
  12. Donte Whitner was not on pace for 132 tackles. He had 57 total tackles over the 10 games he appeared in and wasn't likely to get 75 more in 6 games. He is decent in coverage but definately not a playmaker. IMO, top ten safeties are guys you have to gameplan around and Whitner isn't one of them. The "league's" opinion is not an acceptable measure. You and I have no idea what the general consensus is and where he might actually stack up, according to the "league". People are bitter about the #8 selection but I think Whitner has been given a fair chance. The majority Bills fans will tell you he is average. The remaining few will tell you he is worthless or top ten in the league.
  13. Borderline top 10 safety? Donte Whitner has done nothing to distinguish himself better than George Wilson. In fact many astute Bills fans feel Wilson is a better option. I don't think Whitner is worthless but he is no better than average. Top ten? Not even close.
  14. You sound like you have an axe to grind, just like Navarette. The two of you can't resist the urge to combine conservatives and racism, and his article reads like a misguided PPP post. I have no problem with him giving an opinion but the namecalling is amateur. IMO, it's a brutal article. The other thing I found interesting was the discrepancy between the two articles. The first article stated that around 100 students came to school in mexican colors and had flags painted on their faces and arms. Navarette's article pointed out that faculty asked students not to wear any flags, specifically mentioning the American flag and Mexican flag. Navarette makes a big stink about how the "brats" broke the rules and disobeyed the wishes of the faculty but it seems to this outside viewer that alot of other students also broke the rules, according to Navarette's perspective.
  15. Josh Reed was never one of the best slot receivers in the NFL. He made plays in college and always worked hard at any level but yes he was limited in NFL talent. The guy was small, slow, and had problems with drops. I'm glad he was a Bill but your best attributes as a WR shouldn't be blocking and not getting hurt.
  16. Absolutely horrible story. The article makes it seem like the murder was an execution just for the hell of it. Worthless scum like this can't suffer enough, IMO.
  17. Josh Reed has made the most out of his limited talents. IMO, he might sign with a team for the minimum and fill a hole on someone's roster but for most teams there are younger, cheaper, and more talented WRs already in place. The Bills decided not to bring him back and you would have to think that was Reed's best shot.
  18. A few more points Nobes. 1. I'm in Rochester and am always available for a beer. 2. You can travel the world in the Marine Corps. Afterall the Navy is usually your taxi service. 3. You can become a pilot in the Marine Corps. as well. 4. I trained in Alaska and it was easily the nicest place I've ever been. 5. The skill set you will aquire in the Marine Corps. extends far beyond infantry talents. If you present an employer with a qualified resume and top it off with a honorable career in the Marines, you have a leg up on everyone. The notion that you won't gain applicable skills for the real world is flat out wrong. The discipline and leadership traits that you gain will define you and those qualities are a priceless commodity in the civillian world.
  19. Yes I am a Marine but I took the pack off my shoulders in 2006. As of right now, I own and operate a construction company but I'm trying like hell to get into the Fire Department. I believe I'm fairly close, but I'll knock on wood anyway. I was infantry and I loved it. My Grandfather was a Marine that made a few stops in the pacific, just like yours. In all honesty, the Marine Corps was the best decision and best time of my life. I just ran into a buddy of mine that was in my unit and we spent 3 hours dissecting how sweet life was.
  20. I'd hate Vick even if he electrocuted, drowned, and smashed hedgehogs. It takes a sick !@#$ to find that entertaining and turn a profit off of it. Even the herpes spreading Ron Mexico, finds torturing animals disturbing.
  21. If you are confident in yourself, join the Marine Corps. Why play JV if you can make varsity? Besides now that you are single, getting laid now and again might be nice. The chair farce and coast guard uniforms are guaranteed birth-control.
  22. Let's wait until the pads are on and these guys play against NFL caliber competition before we decide what they can't do on the field.
  23. Yup me too. Great pick, great weapon, and should make everyone better.
