  1. I think thats important for a Qb.
  2. Let's put things into a better comparison for you, Fingon. How about we compare Cutlers second season to Edwards second season. Remember Cutler didn't have Royal in his second year. While we are talking about Jay's weapons as well, I wanted to point out that Scheffler has 1200 yards and 8 Td's over the last two seasons (29 games). I respect him as a player but you treat him like he is bound for Canton. Cutler 2007: 16 games 467 attempts 3497 yards 20 Tds 14 Int Edwards 2008: 14 games 374 attempts 2699 yards 11 Tds 10 Int Jay Cutler once again wins in production comparisons. I think it should also be noted that Cutler played his first two seasons without knowing he suffered from Type 1 diabetes. This includes the season I just used in my comparison, in which he lost 33 pounds during. I think everyone involved can say they understand Edwards has concerns surrounding his ability to suit up week in week out. Cutler played through his untreated diabetes and has never missed a game in college or the pros.
  3. Don't worry Bills nation. At the rate Demetrius Bell is improving, we can still afford to keep Walker at right tackle.
  4. Yea, that's a resounding positive to have on your resume. You go to absurd levels to make bad points WEO. I simply said I believe this team would be most effective, being a run first offense. You accidentally make a great point regarding TO. I think the threat he brings downfield, along with being one of the best blocking WRs in the game, will help running the ball quite a bit. I do think he understands how the two aspects of offense help eachother, if thats what your asking. As far as TO asking why TO is here, I can't make any predictions on that and neither can you. What you fail to understand is that a run first team can also do alot of damage through the air as well. If TO is getting the chance to do his thing and win I think he'll be just fine.
  5. How do you have any idea what attempts have been made for Boldin? The cardinals don't seem too interested in letting him go besides. You need to seperate fantasy world and reality. Owens was a free agent and we still have our picks. It's fun to throw trade ideas out there but when morons start blaming the Bills for not making them happen, it gets ugly.
  6. Your reading comprehension is as brutal, as your NFL analysis.
  7. Most importantly they have a much better Qb who gets the ball downfield. Those weapons wouldn't be as productive without Cutler.
  8. Yes with a little better talent around him, he has yielded far better results.
  9. I honestly don't think Buffalo is the place to run that offense week in and week out. I have reservations about TE ability to run a pass first offense. I think he could be a very good Qb but I'd like to see this team run first, despite the TO aquisition.
  10. I have said why I think Cutler is beter. I got nothing else to add.
  11. Something you won't find in your stat sheets is that Cutler is also far more agile than Edwards and (GET READY) has more poise. The running game gave the Broncos fits last year. They had countless injuries and weren't very consistent, especially in short yardage. Watch the games!
  12. I don't need to make excuses for Cutler at all. He his ahead of the power curve for a third year Qb. God knows what you are looking for out of him.
  13. Ignorance is labeling the Broncos running game "great" last year. I have to question your ability to put up a valued argument seeing how little you know about Denver. Cutler had a nice season last year, I'm not sure what you were looking for. Career stats: Cutler (37 games) - Tds 54 Int 37 Yards 9024 Rating 87.1 Edwards (24 games) - Tds 18 Int 18 Yards 4329 Rating 79.1 We can only hope Edwards works his way up to your average.
  14. No biggie. I make plenty of errors myself.
  15. Do we really need to dissect Edwards record in must win situations? I'm assuming you watched a few games last year and don't need a recap, right? If my memory serves me correctly he wasn't exactly on fire down the stretch. This is your cue for the ready made he had a concussion for half the year, nonsense.
  16. This is just bad logic. Cutler played with one of the worst defenses we have seen in awhile last year. He wasn't afforded the luxury of skipping three quarters of action like Trent was. The Broncos O had to chuck it all day long in most of their games in order to keep up. In this scenario turnovers are inevitable but to their credit they put up points. If put in the Broncos situation last year, Edwards would have led Denver to the second pick in the draft. According to your logic Bill, the Saints should be looking to trade Brees for Kerry Collins.
  17. Are you kidding me? The argument is Cutler for Edwards and the only defense you have is "in the clutch". You must have been in a coma the whole second half of Buffalo's season last year. Pathetic argument.
  18. Mike Martz was given the proper players as a head coach and didn't win the superbowl. Nice work Dog, your memory has failed you again. Perhaps you were thinking of another great coach who won it all, like Barry Switzer. Something you should consider when forming a post is proper research.
  19. It has been amusing but like anything else it's becoming repetitive. Mr. Weo is like alot of us and likes to argue. I don't believe for a second he actually believes Martz would work in Buffalo. While his comparison to Shanahan was cute, he just brings up one off topic point after another. Bottom line is that Martz hasn't seen consistent success since 01. He has been given multiple chances since then and failed. In addition to failing since 01 he has burned bridge after bridge with his poor attitude. Those juggernaut Ram teams were loaded with talent. Every star member of the old Rams team has had big seasons without Martz, unfortunately Martz hasn't had one without them.
  20. HaHaHa! I found you dog! Just joking, you give just as well as you take.
  21. Absolutely. In addition to Ozzie, anytime you have Ray Lewis and Ed Reed holding players accountable it makes a coachs job so much easier. Those two are getting older too but still demand the most out of their peers.
  22. Does anybody know anything more about Pettigrews arrest other than the charges?
  23. I don't think a big time deep threat TE is completely necessary either. A steady guy that can get off the line and help Trent by sucking in everything thats thrown his way is necessary. The best part of the deal is that Pettigrew can do that for us and it's not even his best attribute. The guy loves to block and is dominant at it. I know that it's not the most fan friendly pick but this type of player makes everyone on offense better. I think this type of player has a quicker impact as well.
  24. By "you people" are you referring to all of the posters who disagree with you, or are you referring to the entire NFL and college ranks that feel Martz is not good enough for a job? You are entitled to your own opinion on Martz and the rest of us are entitled to ours, but you still haven't mentioned how you think this offense would work in the Buffalo winds. Wasn't that the point of this foolish thread in the first place?
  25. I hope this is why we haven't signed any FA LBs, yet.
