Been celebrating it in Buffalo since the late 70s. -
With his mobiity problems for so long he should know how to get into a SUV. You go in ass first on the edge of the seat then use the handle over the door to help pull yourself in. I was using a waker the I was discharged after my trasplant and had no problem getting into one. Humerous note: As I was typing this the autocorrect changed mobility to obit!

Things that get screwy after a stroke can get better. I had a stroke back in July 2014. Had trouble waking but walking just one house further from home each time it was nice from March to July 2015 got me up to 1.25 miles before I had to take a rest. Was watching a baseball game and the Word Cup while in rehab and they a looked like they were standing in a line, although I knew they were baseball and soccer games. The things in the room looked normal. That lasted only a few days. Only residual effects are a very, very slight weakness on my left side when lifting heavy stuff, needing to make a list while shopping for >3 items and geting dizzy after looking up for a while which goes away immediately after looking forward and closing my eyes for a few seconds. I am very glad he recovered and the stroke has brought back his common sense.

The 77 second Miracle in 1990, Broncos at Bills
Wacka replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
I've told this story before. September 30 1980. Was at this game. Dad was in the Oncology ward at Mercy Hospital. Mom was visiting him all day the next day and I swung by to pick her up after work. Was telling him about the game. About 6:45 he said he was cold and sleepy as he really couldn't sleep well the night before. So mom and I decided to go home and let him rest. Starts coughing up blood and was dead in a few minutes. The lung tumor was right alongside his trachea and he bled to death when it ruptured.
