Stadium Construction Discussion (No PSL/Seat selection posts)
Wacka replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall
Was driving down Milestrip last week. Saw two lots being cleared. Several lots have signs saying for sale/development. The new construction buildup is starting. Can't start raising steel until the underground foundation is done. -

Plane landing at London Heathrow Airport yesterday

I have watched a bunch of videos by a Dutch or Scandinavian (?) pilot who explains a bunch of stuff about flying and analyzes plane crashes. Learned a lot. of why things are done the way they are. -

I am attending something for my hubby about 3 miles from the stadium. There was no traffic. Everybody must be at the stadium already. Weather is about 35 and a very light mist -
They have good surveillance in Grand Island and WNY to deter illegals. The International RR Bridge has sensors and cameras all over it. On the trails along the Niagara River they have pressure sensitive pads to detect people that have come ashore. I was geocaching in that area looking for one by a tree pretty close to the water. Put my hand on the trunk to steady myself and I feel a coaxial cable going up the tree. Didn't see a camera but why else would the cable be there. Plus the people who live there arena the lookout for strangers walking around.

And growing up in South Cheektowaga, I saw the Pregnant Guppy and a VTOL plane take off from my yard. The VTOL plane was owned by Bell Aircraft. Iin the 80s, I saw the Concorde come on for a landing. It was coming from Chicago, stopped in Buffalo to load a few passengers and then went to JFK. Quietest jet I ever heard except for the old U2 that NASA used at the Ames Research Center in Santa Clara, CA. -

I remember dad taking us to watch the planes land the 60s. he'd park either in a lot across Geneese St. from the airport or along Youngs Road in Amherst. Was a LOT less built up then. -
Maybe they will have him from the owner's box doing the "Where would you rather be..."

People may not know, but in the late 50s they had an accident at the Buffalo Airport. The Blue Angels were doing an air show there. One of the jets landed and couldn't stop, It went right through the intersection of Dick Road and Genesee St. coming to a stop right next to the gas pumps at a gas station that was located there. It was where the Kensington Expressway (Rte 33) now goes under the intersection. No one was hurt. They took out all those homes on the approach years later when jets started being used regularly in the 60s. -
Had it inSept 2021. Got a booster in Feb 2022. Day after thanksgiving me, my sister and my niece (who was visiting from Germany) all got it a secon time. My sister had gotten a booster a few weeks earlier, but I had not seen my sister face to face since October. If you have kidney disease do not use Plaxovid. Biggest reaction I got from a shot recently was the flu shot a few weeks ago, Was sorer than the shringrix shots. Someone told me Mucinex helps the congestion. I took Theraflu nighttime to help me sleep during the COVID
