I know someone that was in a coma for 6 days from an infection (not COVID). She told me that she had no memory of being in the coma. I had a stroke in 2014. I had memories , such as getting a sponge bath, compression pants, but the first clear memory I had was 3 days later. I was in the ICU, not a coma. HIPAA laws-One thing I do remember was telling the hospital tell the people there my medical info.My mom was in NY and I lived in CA with no relatives there. I gave the OK to tell them soothed could relay it to my mom.

Christmas storm could be “Paralyzing” for Buffalo

Was in college at UB back in 77. The day BEFORE the blizzard, I had go up to Amherst for a Physics lab.Had a license but no car yet, so had to take the bus. Broadway Metro bus to Bailey then up to the Main Street campus. From there a campus shuttle to Amherst. Was a shuttle bus, not the big ones they have now as about the only thing open on the Spine was the Physics dept, the rest were built but not open yet. The shuttle would circle the spine but the snow was deep enough that the bus let us off by Clemens hall (English Dept) and we had th walk outside to the other end of the spine and the Physics building. Were bent over and trudged like Sherpas mountain climbing. Got to the lab and as soon as I walk in, they said anyone who had to go back to Main Street leave now as the busses would stop running in an hour. The closest buss stop was at the Governors dorms, now just a parking lot away. But back in 77, that lot was fields. Had to trudge through snow between knee and thigh deep and made it to the stop, Made it back to Main Street. There met a friend from high sci]hool and his father was coming by car to pick him up and take him home to Cheektowaga. He gave me a rid the rest of the way home. Had left home at 7 AM and made it back at 2 PM. The next day, when the Blizzard hit, I was smart and stayed home. -

That background snow picture has appeared many times. I remember being labeled at the 33 with the Welcome to Buffalo sign that is at the city line (by the cemeteries)on the 33. -
Just go to any neighborhood and say you are looking for s DuperBowl party. Someone will invite you in. After SB XXV we were driving home and the roads were packed like it was rush hour.

In 77, my uncle was going home to Alden and got stuck in Lancaster. I don't know which one it was at but he and about 20 people including a cop or two got stuck at an elementary school. He said the cop had pull a gun on two women to get them to get out of their car and into the school. They broke into the cafeteria and had enough to eat.

Lived in Hartford, CT in the early 90s. Bunch of us Bills Backers were going to a Sabres-Whalers game on a Saturday afternoon. They said there was a storm coming but being from Buffalo, we said no problem. Got to the arena and it started snowing. It was N'oreaster! Since the Sabres were already in town, the rule was they had to hold the game. Can't remember where our seats were, but only 1-2K people showed up and we sat 2 rows behind the Sabres bench. On the way home there was close to 6" on the interstate out of town. Took me over 2 hours to drive the less than 10 miles to Bristol, CT (lived ¼ mile from ESPN). The two games we had postponed this week were because the other team couldn't get into town. -

My brother plows for Erie County. He spent from noon on Christmas Eve to Monday evening at Midnight at work, just getting cat naps when he could. Finally was off yesterday and slept 12 straight hours. He said the first streets they plowed were the mains and then the streets with nursing homes. The plow operators are working the hardest they can. He had to go through the same situation in 2014. Hopefully the next time it happens., he'll be retired. -

I think is from this morning. We had some sun in the morning. It is a color photo. Alost all I have seen from '77 are black and white. Plus this is from a drone and they weren't around then. I think thesis from above the light at the McD's and Wegman's just north of Transit and Losson Rd /William. I see the Wendy's sign on the left which would be Lancaster. That is how it looks here. -
"Trying to stop the season from slipping away..." That happened in sSeptember for Green Bay.

Nobody is traveling in Cheektowaga either. I live a few doors from William Street on a county road. We have had a high lift come down the street once Friday, onceSaturday and once today, That is likely because there is a nursing home on the street. Landlord's son (landlord lives next door) tried cleaning out our drive,. Got one car length in and got his pickup with a plow stuck for about 2 hours this morning.
