  1. Phillips should have agreed to fire his special teams coach (who stunk) and stayed with Buffalo. He would've had a job for life under Wilson.
  2. If that was true then the Bills would have a far better pass rush. That's step 1 to stopping the passing game. Teams that are built to stop the pass don't allow NE to score twice in the final 3:30 of the game.
  3. You must be joking. ND is the national media darling. Kellen Moore (Boise State) and Tony Pike (Cincinnati) have comparable statistics but you don't see any threads about them... and their teams are undefeated! They're not in the press cycle like the ND qb. Think of all the recent highly touted QBs to come out of ND... Rick Mirer, Ron Powlus, Brady Quinn. How have they fared?
  4. Be careful being to high on ND players. They get a lot of press and attention because of their national TV exposure.. much more that they deserve in most cases. If Clausen was on different team with NDs record, no one would be talking about him the way that they are now.
  5. Williams is delusional. The reason the Bills are losing is because they have substantially less talent that most of the teams they play, especially at the key positions of QB, OL and DL. They play hard, try and win games with heart and opposition turnovers but that's a formula that doesn't work against good teams, hence the Bills record against opponents with a winning record. Who is the last winning team that they have defeated? I think that last years draft was pretty strong. The Bills need another strong draft and must find a QB to start truly being competitive.
  6. The interior guys are busy trying to get penetration on every play, runs included. That can leave big holes for the LBs to fill, especially against zone blocking schemes. On one play, I saw Kyle Williams get 3 yards into the backfield only to have the RB cut right up into the hole he vacated and go for 10 yds. The other linemen and LBs need to fill those gaps but haven't been able to do so. At least his ability to get upfield has helped him pressure the QB and make a few plays in the backfield. That's better than Stroud or Johnson have been able to do.
  7. Leadership is usually the big one.
  8. Pretty much my thinking as well. I suppose that you could say that Levitre and Wood both have potential and have shown flashes of good play throughout the year. Being that they are rookies, there's a reasonable chance that one or both of them will develop into solid NFL lineman in the next year or two. Everyone else on the other hand...
  9. ... and that's good night.
  10. It might as well be 77 miles.
  11. One more 1st down and it's curtains.
  12. Parrish loses 2 yards on the return. He has regressed so badly it's scary...
  13. This game is over. One more drive and I'm going to bed.
  14. The scary part is that as bad as the DL looks, every player except Williams is aging and declining in ability.
  15. Yup. Team is playing hard, but just doesn't have nearly the players up front.
  16. I'll bet Clemons doesn't throw 5 passes the rest of the game.
  17. Time to reach into the bag of tricks on offense...
  18. There goes the Bills best chance to win this game...
  19. Almost time to head to bed...
  20. That's because they're scared of getting a penalty.
  21. OL is taking a beating in pass protection
