  1. Would be a good pickup. Hassleback (for 1 or 2 years) + #1 Draft pick (Clausen?) + Fitzpatrick/Brohm as #3. Trade Edwards for a case of beer.
  2. They're trying to set a record for the most draft picks accumulated or maybe they feel sorry for them being stuck in Buffalo.
  3. I sure hope so. Frankly, I after LT and QB it looks like our greatest area of need, IMO.
  4. Then the Bills better start signing some OLBs ASAP because once Schobel retires, I don't see anyone on the roster at any position who can get 9 or 10 sacks.
  5. People are talking a lot about size, and I think it's important too, but I worried about Buffalo's defensive pass rush. If/when Schobel retires, where is the rush going to come from? The Bills haven't brought in any FAs who can bring pressure and if they draft LT, QB and NT early in the draft there will be no help there either.
  6. Whatever. The Bills need a lot more that a Vikings backup DL to turn the corner. I don't think they are going to sign any big name free agents so it's really all about keeping the few good players they have and the draft. It will probably take a few seasons, but that's really the only way this franchise will ever get it done. (IMHO)
  7. So, where's the pass rush going to come from? This is not as good a pass rush group as the Bills had last year (Williams is better than "Fat Draftee" and Kelsay is a better pass rusher than Kennedy. The rest is the same. If Schobel retires, then I really wonder who's going to provide the pass rush... Joey Porter?
  8. Not good. I thought this guy actually had good RT potential, at least as a backup.
  9. He's not great but, unfortunately, he's better than most of the other OLB prospects currently on our team. I don't see why you would get rid of him until you have someone else you want to start instead.
  10. ... and from being unable to get off the field on 3rd down.
  11. DE depth player- but to be honest I don't see him making the team this season.
  12. So, we have replaced Kelsay with Maybin. Otherwise, it's the same personnel on defense. Something tells me the results will be similar. (and replacing Ellison with Johnson by moving Schobel to OLB isn't exactly a major upgrade either)
  13. When was the last time someone cried when leaving the Bills?
  14. Yes. 4 starters and a couple of developmental prospects (Harris, Lankster, IMO) is a very good draft. If Maybin actually becomes a productive starter as well it could be one of the best drafts in team history. Funny how no one gives DJ any credit for the good parts of the draft but all of the crap for the Maybin pick.
  15. Exactly. Owens was our #1 last year.
  16. The way things are shaping up, Nix will have to find seven new starters in this years draft just to get us back on track... QB, NT, DE, OLB, WR, LTx2. We get seven picks, right? I wouldn't count too much on free agency. It will be much more limited given the lack of a CBA and the Bills track record on FA signing hasn't been very good. Also, anyone who thinks that Chambers can come it and replace Owens hasn't been watching. Chambers is 1/2 the receiver Owens is. The Bills would be better off just letting Hardy and Johnson play.
  17. Well, I guess you can add WR to the Bills long list of needs.
  18. This one is the best... even Rob Johnson can win a SB!
  19. He will not be there... and if he is, the Bills won't be the only team thinking about trading up to get him.
  20. QB Fitzpatrick RB Jackson RB Lynch FB McIntyre TE Nelson LT (1st Round Pick) LG Incognito C Hangartner RG Wood RT Levitre WR Evans WR Johnson / Hardy WR Reed LDE Stroud, (3rd Round Pick) (rotation) NT (2nd Round Pick), Johnson (rotation) RDE Williams, Kelsay (rotation) ROLB Maybin / Ellis RILB Pozluszny LILB Mitchell LOLB Schobel CB McGee, McKelvin / Florence SS Scott FS Byrd Try to shore up the front sevens on both sides of the ball and grab a QB in the next draft.
  21. This is the key. I thought that Jauron was actually pretty good from Monday to Saturday. He understood game planning, commanded the respect of his players and assembled a good staff (with the possible exception of OC). His game management, decision making and game day leadership were very weak however, and it cost the Bills several football games.
