    The Bills are going to have a front seven problem the first half of the season. They'd better be planning a lot of "stopping the run with numbers" and confusing opponents blocking with schemes, otherwise there will be trouble because I don't see too many players that can win individual matchups.

    That's the truth. If you look at opinions of former players on TBD you'd think that no one of any ability has ever left the Bills. They all stink, whether they were a scrub or a pro-bowler.

    Look, when you play a blitz heavy defensive scheme then you have to practice blitzing to get better at it. You play your defense. If the other guys don't like it then tough.

    There isn't a good option on the roster. I'm honestly surprised that the team isn't working harder to find help here. They must really believe that Manny will be ready week one. It's a gamble.

    The smart money says that he may not have much time left as a Bill but I just have a feeling that he will renegotiate a team friendly deal to try and play out his career here. We'll see.

    I just can't see it. He has too much ability and is too young. Maybe in another season if things don't change off the field or do change on it, but for this upcoming season he's going to make the roster. What's ol' Miko up to these days? Miss reading about her antics.

    Yeah but what's not good is that the Bills have had playoff caliber talent for the past couple of seasons and haven't been able to make them. That indicates other issues that need to be addressed. Personally, I think QB play is one of them so maybe this will be the season. Unfortunately, I think coaching is another and that doesn't bode as well.

    Let's hope that Manny is back and at least at 90% so the Bills can get passable play from the position. Otherwise it will be a bullseye for the Ravens.

    How long did the Bills keep Matt Leinert a couple of years ago? Wasn't it like 3 days or something?

    I think that it can only help if he comes back in the second half of the season because the Bills are so weak at the position, but to expect a rookie with no training camp and coming off a significant surgery to come in and be a major contributor this season seems a little unrealistic.

    Based on my anecdotal experience of two knee ligament injuries I think that it's not a good sign when there is that much swelling (obviously). It's a blow, but I doubt it will be the last injury to an important player this season. This is football after all. Need to keep going.
