    Actually, Thomas was drafted after the 1987 season. But they had Andre Reed, Cornelius Bennett, Shane Conlan and Darryl Talley in 1987. Essentially every core player except Thomas from the Super Bowl teams. So you are right that they aren't even close to 1987.

    Dareus would certainly be gone if not for his contract. I suspect this will be his last year though.

    2019 pick isn't great but honestly I'm surprised they got that for him considering that he would very likely have been cut and available for nothing in a few weeks.

    Let's face reality- it's only a matter of time before he is shipped out or leaves. The only thing holding him here for now is his contract structure so the minute there's a way out of that I suspect he will depart.

    Truth. But the interesting thing is that it's basically the same OL as last season with the exception of Glenn, and he missed some time, so the problem should be solvable with competent coaching.

    It appears that no tanking may be necessary to secure the top pick overall. They're not quite there yet but they're certainly headed in the right direction.

    Tanking is a waste of time. If all it took was sucking to become a powerhouse then teams like the Browns or Clippers would be champions by now. You don't develop a winning culture by tanking.

    I know reports from camp have been solid but Lawson didn't really look too good in the Eagles game. He's got a lot to prove.

    I wonder about this too. The scheme may be a better fit but the talent level is no where near what it was 3 years ago.

    This part is obvious. It's also obvious that he had no better options to stay in the league since the Bills were a long shot bet to begin with. He had a great career but he probably should have retired a year or two ago.

    Sorry. I thought you meant losing Matthews to injury, not Boldin to retirement. You're right that losing Boldin will mean nothing on the field, despite all the nonsense that Dennison and McDermott were spinning about signing him. He was done a couple of years ago.

    If he was so bad in Philly then why did they trade for him? Can't have it both ways.

    They don't have to make the moves until week 10 right? They will absolutely do what it takes to the that pick. 100% certain.
