  1. I could care less about subjective QB rankings. However, im not sure why you get so defensive about the statement. Its not that far off the mark. There are many question marks about EJ after one year. And in a few games, EJ did not look ready to be playing in the NFL.
  2. Cost of living is a non-factor. A rookie making the league minimum playing for the New York Giants does not get paid more than a rookie making the league minimum on the Green Bay Packers despite the fact that New York is insanely more expensive than Wisconsin. Player safety is a non-factor. London is not a hazard-pay destination. There are no travel restrictions or warnings imposed by the State Department on citizens traveling to London. This would be of concern if the city truly were a potential hazard location (like the Damascus Argonauts). I dont understand your point regarding travel to surrounding countries?? That is akin to being concerned about a players travel to another state during the season. Or a Bills player traveling to Canada during the season, or a texans player traveling to Mexico. Not really following your concern.. IMO, at the end of the day the biggest and most obvious hurdle for a London team is the travel. Travel between east coast teams to London wouldnt be bad, as the distance from ny to london is similar from that of ny to the west coast. But to have the london team travel to the west coast and a west coast team travel to london is a bit much. For an entire season, the london team would be at an extreme disadvantage bc EVERY road game it has would be equivalent/worse than an east coast team having to travel to california for every road game. Having to do that trip back and forth 16 times (to and fro) would be taxing and unfair to the london team in my opinion. But then again, plenty of "regular" folks do that trip numerous times a year and dont get paid millions to do it. Good luck attracting free agents though... I think a team in London in the future would be pretty cool.
  3. I disagree. How is Thad a "marginal" backup when he has won half his games? And we're the Bills, so winning half of anything is an improvement from the norm. Not to mention that Thad wasnt in training camp and the games he has started have been some of the toughest we've had. He didnt face the Jaguars and Falcons. I dont think anyone realistically advocates to "draft a QB every single round of every single draft." You're just arguing with yourself now.
  4. At this point in time i have about the same amount of confidence in Thad to start the game as i do in EJ. Dunno if thats a bad reflection on EJ or good reflection on Thad, or a little of both.
  5. I would have few complaints drafting a QB first 2 rounds. I wouldnt be clicking my heels, but i would understand it. New rookie salary scale makes this very possible too.
  6. Jeff Tuel. The end. Season over. Say what you want, but Im not forgiving Marrone and Co. For that decision for a while.
  7. Seattle. Love russel. Love lynch. Love sherman's trashtalking. Hate Carroll. Love their fans/stadium. Go Hawks
  8. I would NEVER draft any QB in ANY round to be a 3rd string QB. Its a wasted pick. Literally. But good post regarding Thad
  9. I really want to like EJ but he really hasnt shown much at all. He needs competition and not a gift-wrapped starting QB role.
  10. Hopefully: Eagles 55 Boys 3 F U JERRY
  11. Diff position but Hughes has excelled in this system. What a beast
  12. He blocks FG? Lol hes solid depth if healthy
  13. Screw playoffs. How about the moral boost this franchise would get for finally finishing without a losing record. Id love to see Pittsburgh play one game in Toronto. See how that goes over with their fanbase. Or send New England to Montreal for one game. See if Bill B is up for that
  14. I agree. The key is picking and choosing correctly. Levitre is a good example. But if i have to choose between Byrd and Glenn, im choosing Glenn. Between Dareus and Byrd im choosing dareus. Heck, between any of the big three on the DL and Byrd, im taking the big 3 on the DL
  15. EJ hasnt earned a bowl of cereal in this league. He has done nothing. If thad beats the Pats, that would be the biggest accomplishment for this franchise in over a decade. At a minimum Thad has performed just about the same as EJ in his starts. EJ needs to earn his way to starting QB on this team. Thad has 4 starts this season and 2 wins and one of his losses was an OT loss to the bengals.
  16. Good post. For me, the closer a player is to the ball on the field, the more im willing to pay. Exceptions exist for superb talent further back from the ball of course.
  17. Im with the OP. the toronto series has to end. I dont know if id put us not having a shot at the playoffs on the Toronto series, but if nothing else, that series is embarrassing. The NFL is plenty hard to win in without having to give up a home game. I hate that series.
  18. Unfortunately for us, neither the Jets nor the Fins have Brady/Bellichek
  19. C. Biscuit: I don't disagree. I said Pay Glenn. I'm confused.
  20. IMO im all about letting over-hyped players walk if they ask for insane amts of money. But Glenn is not that player. This guy is a STUD and appears tl be a class act. SIGN HIM to whatever he wants if he continues playing like this. Peters played well here and we lucked out finding Glenn who is even better IMO. We may not get lucky a third time. Some teams go years w/o finding a solid LT. Churning through LT is not a recipe for success long-term imo.
  21. I want our defense to DESTROY BRADY. 5+ sacks. Who in their right mind WOULDN'T want that? We'd go into the offseason with a crapload of momentum across the board throughout the entire franchise.
  22. ya NoSAINT; definitely have to question Woods' intelligence punching a guy in his helmet. lol. its like when pitchers get pissed and punch the clubhouse wall and break their hand. those two will probably see e/o again next season 2x's. can't wait.
