  1. Screw playoffs. How about the moral boost this franchise would get for finally finishing without a losing record. Id love to see Pittsburgh play one game in Toronto. See how that goes over with their fanbase. Or send New England to Montreal for one game. See if Bill B is up for that
  2. I agree. The key is picking and choosing correctly. Levitre is a good example. But if i have to choose between Byrd and Glenn, im choosing Glenn. Between Dareus and Byrd im choosing dareus. Heck, between any of the big three on the DL and Byrd, im taking the big 3 on the DL
  3. EJ hasnt earned a bowl of cereal in this league. He has done nothing. If thad beats the Pats, that would be the biggest accomplishment for this franchise in over a decade. At a minimum Thad has performed just about the same as EJ in his starts. EJ needs to earn his way to starting QB on this team. Thad has 4 starts this season and 2 wins and one of his losses was an OT loss to the bengals.
  4. Good post. For me, the closer a player is to the ball on the field, the more im willing to pay. Exceptions exist for superb talent further back from the ball of course.
  5. Im with the OP. the toronto series has to end. I dont know if id put us not having a shot at the playoffs on the Toronto series, but if nothing else, that series is embarrassing. The NFL is plenty hard to win in without having to give up a home game. I hate that series.
  6. Unfortunately for us, neither the Jets nor the Fins have Brady/Bellichek
  7. C. Biscuit: I don't disagree. I said Pay Glenn. I'm confused.
  8. IMO im all about letting over-hyped players walk if they ask for insane amts of money. But Glenn is not that player. This guy is a STUD and appears tl be a class act. SIGN HIM to whatever he wants if he continues playing like this. Peters played well here and we lucked out finding Glenn who is even better IMO. We may not get lucky a third time. Some teams go years w/o finding a solid LT. Churning through LT is not a recipe for success long-term imo.
  9. I want our defense to DESTROY BRADY. 5+ sacks. Who in their right mind WOULDN'T want that? We'd go into the offseason with a crapload of momentum across the board throughout the entire franchise.
  10. ya NoSAINT; definitely have to question Woods' intelligence punching a guy in his helmet. lol. its like when pitchers get pissed and punch the clubhouse wall and break their hand. those two will probably see e/o again next season 2x's. can't wait.
  11. I didn't see that play live b/c I was flipping through so many different games but I've definitely seen worse not called. I suppose it comes down to being caught.
  12. Indeed he is. Great pick up
  13. Lmao. You were quiet as a mouse 10 min ago. Even w the pick 6 his numbers are just about what we get from EJ every week, except hes doing it w playoff implications on the line. Tuel on the other hand looks great sitting on the bench - where he'll forever be.
  14. 1. Starting Tuel while Flynn was on bench.
  15. Lmfao. At a loss for words
  16. why would we cut Fred Jackson? He's productive. The only reason he doesn't get 100yds is b/c he splits time with CJ. CJ and Freddy are fine. If anything we still need to bring in a RB #3 to back both up. The offensive line needs the help. CJ/Freddy are fine. I see freddy playing out his contract through next year, and then we'll see where we are and where he is in 2015.
  17. Super Bowl on a saturday would be AWESOME
  18. Very good point, which i meant to bring up yesterday in response to his critics. Evans just turned 20yrs old this past season. He was 19 yrs old in those 2012 vidoes. Mistakes are going to happen. Hes continued to improve as a WR and completely destroyed the alabama defense this year. Guy is still raw, but a potential beast
  19. I would normally say that drafting a QB again 1st round would be nonsense, however: 1. EJ does appear to be slightly injury prone. 2. Just bc we draft a QB high doesnt mean that we are giving up on EJ. It means we're constantly looking for ways to improve and get better as a team. 3. EJ will have every opportunity to start week 1 of 2014. Drafting a QB this year wont prevent that. However, drafting a QB high this year might put some pressure on EJ to perform. In year 2 of his career, maybe that wouldnt be such a bad thing? He had 0 pressure to perform this season as a rookie, as the job was clearly his. 4. If EJ doesnt rise up to the occassion next year, maybe the rookie QB we draft will? If EJ does rise up to the occassion, then we groom QB #2 for backup duties or trade him 2 yrs from now once we already are certain of EJ. In short, unless you have a QB like brees, rivers, eli, rodgers, ryan, and about 8-10 other QBs, i dont think the idea of drafting a QB high in back to back years should be dismissed. In many ways, its a win-win
  20. I think he's got plenty on his resume for HOF: 1. Super Bowl winner 2. Last 14 years, at least 116 tackles each year. 3. From span of 2000 - 2009; most tackles in NFL (1,244) 4. Led his respective teams in tackles for past decade 5. Most consecutive games started by LB/Most consecutive games played by a LB 6. NFL 20 sack/20 interception club 7. 4x Pro Bowler Last but not least, a TRUE CLASS ACT. I know sometimes the word "compiler" is used in baseball HOF discussions as a negative attribute. For an NFL Mike Linebacker, and the physical beating they take every game, there's no such thing as a "compiler". This guy was a beast. HOF baby.
  21. Glenn is a phenomenal LT. The best we've had in yrs. how do i know this? You literally never hear his name during a game. In fact, sometimes i even forget hes there. Ya, hes been that good.
