  1. That is close to 10 percent of the working age population. That seems a bit excessive to me.
  2. too bad he can't just go back to his old life
  3. and the wheels on the bus go round and round
  4. Here we go again. Jerry Jones is starting to push the narrative in favor of marijuana. It is only a matter of time until we see a relaxation of the policy and something more like Hockey. Until then and beyond carry on, because there are any opinions on this board that matter to the Owners or the Players.
  5. I will take the over. Better defensive play this coming year combined with a solid offensive and an upgrade at Coach. We won't play with 10 or 12 men on the field as much as we did last year either.
  6. http://www.espn.com/blog/nflnation/post/_/id/237255/bills-gain-flexibility-in-2018-by-declining-sammy-watkins-option Seems like a pretty smart move all things considered. With his injury history, not picking up the option is a kin to not playing Taylor in the last game of 2016. The Bills are just hedging their bets.
  7. It could be the best type of fit. McD may need a set of eyes he trusts on that side of the ball.
  8. Given what I read about Peterman and your take, I wouldn't bet against it. In fact I find it intriguing. If your theory bears fruit then Next year's draft possibilities become wide open.
  9. As attractive as that may seem I am of the belief that is very unlikely and I doubt we have one in the top 5. The Chefs falling that far is beyond wishful thinking IMO and the Bills will be more competitive than last year. We should have a healthy Lawson and Raglund added to a much more disciplined defense to go with an above average offense. Obviously time will tell but this team won't beat itself like it did last year. Touche. McDermott has removed the pool table?
  10. I am drinking the Koolaid. As long as Pegula stays the course with McD, gets a GM that can work well with Coach, which given the results over the weekend I believe he will, and doesn't waste his money on hookers and blow things are going to work out. Picking up an extra first next year shows me that OBD has a plan. A plan that is foundational and not flashy. Build through the draft for a core of young talent that gels together, which should build great chemistry for the long term. I am hopeful the Team is trying to emulate the model in Pittsburgh. Hire a good young coach and stick with him. McD is from a solid tree and has been in successful organizations so he knows what it looks like. He also seems to be smart enough to be humble enough to learn from mistakes.
  11. When the chips are down
  12. I believe we are on the same page with that and why I put Year 3. We will be competitive this year with Tyrod, Peterman is a crapshoot and next year's draft probably holds our 2019 starter. If that person is a stud and can come in to a solid team, 2018 is even better.
  13. I am going to go out on a limb and say that most of the people posting have never owned a business, one that does seven figures a year plus, AND call me crazy but probably not one worth north of a Billion. Owners can do what they want and good ones know how to play high stakes poker. Pegs played it the only smart way. He has known for awhile Doug was out, he just wasn't going to tell you or anyone else because then his cards are on display. Whaley could have done some real damage if canned before the draft. Pegs wasn't going to let that happen. It has been obvious since the Rex firing, Doug was out of the loop. As I have said all along I want the chef buying the groceries and the running the show, apparently Pegs does too. In today's NFL a lot of teams (winning teams at that) are going in this direction. Pegs is an analyst by nature and he sees what works. McD seems like a guy that Pegs understands. Someone who is all about process and method, not emotion and flash. McD will have a competive team this Year and surprise some folks. Playoffs might be a stretch given the tough sledding in December but by year 3 watch out. Brady will be done and The Bills will be a solid young team ready to contend Year in and Year out.
  14. I told you McD could do Whaley's job.
  15. That is what y'all said about the first tweet.
  16. Wow. This thread should be locked so no one else embarrasses themselves with comments like the ones being spewed about in here. Thanks. Enjoy the draft.
  17. Has anyone called the maid yet?
  18. According to his NFL profile he lacks upper body strength and could get pushed around. Doubt I would spend anything higher than a 20 on him, if that.
  19. That's the question.....
