They have a lot of needs so it's not bad to sign a younger guy with some upside, but that is all they go after character guys with work ethic...Blah, Blah, Blah. We won't make they playoffs without some good vets on the team.
Frustrating time to be a Bills fan. I feel that they don't make the smart moves to improve the team. Who knows if Winslow is the right guy but that is a huge need for the Bills and another missed opportunity.
I am not a big if they sign this guy. It seems like another outsmart everybody including ourselves move that is to typical from the Bills. Birk should be the target. Also Chris Brown brought up a good point about Brian Waters wanting out of KC...huge move to get him.
Here are some players that could help change the fortunes in Buffalo and help us make a playoff push.
Offense:
1. Matt Birk - Good Vet 3 yr deal plus draft a C prospect
2. Stacey Andrews - A RT Big improvement
3. Brandon Moore - Upgrade at G for less than Dockery
4. Devery Henderson - His age is a plus, price should be less than other vets.
Defense:
1. Haynesworth - High price but a beast
2. Derrick Brooks - 2 yr deal draft a young player to groom
3. Brian Dawkins - Useful for 2 yrs.
I think that is a bad idea...not sure why but Cassell reminds me of another Rob Johnson scenario. He had one good year in a friendly system surrounded by a lot of very good players.
