  1. This is exactly what I am seeing. Cincy or pit will have 1 loss as they play each other. And cincy could quite easily lose to both pit and ravens. Both teams have to play dallas who are alot like the early season bills decent o no d. My fear is our season may officially end in 2 weeks against the hawks.
  2. Last week Wanny had Kyle and darrius stand up at los on third and long a couple of times. They both got to the QB in a hurry would have liked to,see thaton todays 3rd and long?
  3. Both guys did all they could to help their team win why should they be upset? If. Chan and Wanny were smiling then i have an issue!
  4. Why does george wilson step up on that Td instead of staying back and protecting the middle of the field?
  5. I want to know how come when cj runs for 25 yds we pull him out of the game cause he is winded but a 65 yd pass play to stevie earns him 3 more throws?
  6. For a bootleg you limit the field and avail receivers you can throw to by 1/2. Elway was good at this as he had a strong enough arm to throw to the back side reciever down the middle of the field if he was open. Heck I think I recall a few times when he threw to the opposite side of the field and completed passes. Fitz's arm is not strong enough for this type of throw.
  7. Lindell has been great but next year I say we bring in this guy. http://www.okstate.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/sharp_quinn00.html Bring in Thurman to start the lobbying process
  8. It's a cover 2 you have a safety sitting inside the left hash at the goal line providing over / under coveage on Stevie with the corner. If you watch the play the linebacker releases Stevie to the corner and peels back on spiller.. corner is looking inside and slows abit and safety starts peeling towards middle of field following Fitz's eyes and throw to the right side of the field (from QB view). If Fitz throws to Stevie it is picked. Spiller and maybe Jones ( If he throws to inside shoulder) are the only other options.
  9. Suprised no one mentioned.. 2nd and 9 I believe Moats beat his blocker from the left side on path to QB when blocker hooked his left arm over Moats shoulder and road his back to the ground at Brady's feet. No Flag... Nothing.. But Glenn gets the call when his defender is no where near Fitz after Fitz released the ball.
  10. There was one on Chandler earlier in the game as well pass down the right seam defender hit helmet to helmet without ducking down or anything defender had to jump up a little bit. This knocked chandler backwards a bit should have been called but wasn't.
  11. McCourty is only listed at 5 10 and backpeddling so his jump in the air would take more effort and look more difficult than a 6' receiver 5 yards in running forward. I'm sure Graham would have been able to leap and catch had he cut inside. Additionally if you look at the 00.03 mark and compare to the 00.04 mark you can see how much space is open in front of the defender in that area. Everyone clears the area.. Graham cuts in front easy TD.. Spiller I believe was outlet on that play but again the play design is really really good you have a receiver who should be open in front of a defender with nothing in between him and the QB
  12. Look at the throw from behind Fitz i guarentee he was expecting graham to cut in front of defender like stevie has done many times on that same pattern. Its a timing throw. Receiver tstayed in the seam
  13. FWIW... Hold on Aaron Williams on first TD ... No Call. Hold on Barnett second TD lineman had arms wrapped all the way around him
  14. Have you ever seen TJ play? I have, and feel very comfortable in saying he will be an upgrade to Ryan Fitz when he steps in. You will not look back on decision as he is a pretty accurate QB and very mobile. One of his biggest problems in Minn was he had a decent first year and had more trouble in year 2 as all new QB's seem to have in eyear2. Farve came in year 3-4 thus not giving him any time to develop. In SEA he had a new coach new system to learn and actually played decent. I think Chan, like he did with Edwards wants to give Fitz every chance to succeed, but he is missing open receivers.
  15. Zapruder had a bad camera angle as well. Just ask Arlen Specter (RIP) with a better angle you clearly see the fatal shot as coming from the Depository and not the grassy knoll.
  16. I recall one stat back in those days that stated RJ was sacked once every 7 plays on AVG. For a better compairision look at 2000 where RJ was a clear starter and went 4-11 for games started. RJ again got injuried and Flutie, a year older with diminishing skills, went 4-1 with the #18th ranked D. Flutie's QB rating in 2000 was 86.5 pretty good for a backup qb.
  17. Watched a sack by Von Millet the other night who outside rushed and dipped his shoulders lower than the linemans waist on cut to the QB.. Guy couldn't get a glove on him. I had to watch it 3 or 4 times to see how he got his pads so low.. Pretty impressive..
  18. What I never saw coming ....... Was the flag for the obvious holding call on Mario in this pic. .. I'm sure there were plenty more in the NE game that never came.
  19. Although I don't know if this is true, my thought is if you did this same analysis with QB's NFL wide you would see the same trend that Teams with QB's over 30 attempts a game tend to lose those games more than under 30 teams. This is partially due to playing from behind teams tend to throw more. I did look at the this same trend many years ago comparing Flutie and Kelly and the same held true.. Both QB's with under 30 attempts won the majority of their games.
  20. Like the list.. Few Notes 1. Historically I think the question on VIck had always been his accuracy and quickness to leave the pocket. Have not watched him enough in the last two years to evaluate 2. Have watched Romo for years (TX) Chandler would benefit from Romo however he would need a complimentary receiver outside of SJ to really be effective (See TO, Dez for comparision) 3. Moving down I am a big fan of Daniels had have watched him since HS. He is a spread QB ran it in HS and at Mizzou and very smart kid. He will be hungry for a start being behind Brees this past couple years. I think he would thrive in Chans offense. 4. JMarcus Webb ?? The tackle? Excuse my ignorance here but I couldn't find him on any NFL Roster.. Joe Webb former Viking yes.. but JMarcus has got me stumpped. Colt -- Weak Arm.. Good Leader.
  21. . Wasnt that blueprint actually drawn by Belichik sometime in 1990? Could of sworn another QB struggled under this same plan previously but his name somehow escapes me.
  22. Ahhh that is right.. thanks for correcting.. It was Jerry O not Ruben Brown who stared at the ball on the ground.. my bad
