  1. Every team needs to have their strength and conditioning coaches on the sideline taking swipes at the opposing team.
  2. They're blaming Dom because it all started when a he (a non-participant) put his hand on a player. At a minimum, I think he should be removed from the field for the rest of the season.
  3. There’s even less evidence that Von will do something silently.
  4. This is spot on - we get the same production and expense either way - if anything, I’d rather have AJE and Groot get more reps this season. Strictly business - the best thing possible for the organization is to terminate the contract if possible. It’s not a good look for anyone, but it speeds up the “retool” process. Had he not torn his ACL last year the conversation may be different.
  5. On a really long kick attempt where you know the launch angle has to be low and up the middle, why not put Groot in the A-Gap instead of Tim Settle? That's probably 12" or more in vertical reach.
  6. It could have been harder had we made the tackle in bounds rather than stripped the receiver of the reception on the previous play. A running clock for that kick would have amped up the pressure. - I fully understand that the defender isn't thinking about this in the moment.
  7. Was the game outcome “fixed” - I doubt it. They wouldn’t have called the Kelce false start in crunch time to move them back if it was truly scripted. Are refs taking money to impact betting lines - it would amaze me if it wasn’t happening given the amount of money involved. Yesterday there were egregiously bad calls made. New York needs to step in during these moments and correct the on field errors. The technology and systems exist. It’s worth “slowing down the game” to make the correct calls in my opinion.
  8. If assigning the number based upon targets and production - Shakir has already proven to be ahead Davis. If we're saying a WR2 is a deep threat guy, we currently don't have one with any level of constancy. Ideal target distribution going forward: Diggs Kincaid Shakir Davis Everyone else until proven differently (including Knox). Davis and Shakir both block well. I think Shakir runs sharper routes. Neither is near Diggs in this category though. Shakir also seems to have better hands and creates separation. Davis is a busted coverage deep threat at this point.
  9. Diggs is only a problem to talking heads and call-in radio listeners. His brother tweeting is a distraction.. but that's not a reflection of what #14 brings to the table. He works hard at is craft - harder than anyone on the roster from what I've seen. He wants to win. He produces and doesn't disappear from games. In the moments after the Hamlin collapse - he was the lone member trying to regroup and get ready. He gets labeled as a "Diva" because of the position he plays. If he was a QB, we'd say he's a firey leader.
  10. Not interested in Frazier. I would love a McD clone for defensive coordinator. I honesty think he is one of the best defensive minds in the game. It's just apparent that he can't do both jobs (HC and DC) at an elite level. I do think our defense is producing better this season that the same unit would with Frazier, but it's come at the detriment of the greater good.
  11. Sitting in the endzone - Bernard was panicking before the snap. He either knew there were too many or didn’t know where he was supposed to be.
  12. In Madden - absolutely. In the NFL - not so much.
  13. He’s essentially meditating. Other players are probably told to give him space so he can slow his heart beat, focus, and do whatever it is the guru or sports psychologist has told him he needs to do to be great. He’s been open about it and called it LOW POSITIVE.
  14. If Urban Meyer is indeed going to Michigan State - its further incentive to leave now too.
  15. McDermott has had a great track record with DBs. The fact that he can’t coach up this 1st round pick says more to me about the player than they system or coaching staff. Elam has been jumped by JAGs and an off-the-couch has-been. The organization has every reason to develop him and play him, but they choose not to. Assuming they can’t trade him for - 6th or 7th this off-season, I see no scenario where he’s on the roster next season.
  16. Why - we're obviously stashing Elam for the second Dolphins' game.
  17. By and large the call-ins are horrendous. It's even worse if you listen to the more than one or two segments per day because the same phone-in hot take will be repeated multiple times. Obviously the real knowledge doesn't wait in a phone queue. It rambles stream of consciousness on TBD.
  18. Josh talked about his new “low positive” plan. He comes off the sideline and tries to get his heart rate down so that he can clear his mind as much as possible to process info in the game. It’s like he’s meditating. It really explains the difference in in his perceived level of care.
  19. I believe him to be a very hard worker. The character flaw I see is that he's too loyal to "his guys" and gives them too long of a leash to figure things out. That said - if any one of about a dozen coinflip events yesterday didn't bounce TB's way, this game was a blowout. For the first time in a month, they looked prepared and had an attacking game plan. Now if they can just keep on the throttle for 4 quarters, we'd have a better record and this board would be a lot more tolerable.
  20. I actually don't mind the 2pt conversion there on the road. If you make it, you have a chance to win in regulation. I believe historically 2pt conversions are hitting around 48%.
  21. Agreed - i rewatched the second half this morning. To his credit Mayfield barely avoided multiple sacks, their punt returner muffs a punt but it bounced right back, penalties on non-converted 4ths, a TD catch bounced off the defender’s helmet, a 2pt conversion was tipped and caught…. Everything went TB’s way and it was still comfortable for the vast majority. We ALMOST dominated them. Imagine if we had lined up under center and snow plowed our way to a TD when it was 3rd and goal on the 1 early instead of lining up in the shot gun and getting denied on 2 plays in a row. Imagine if mayfield’s knee dropped 2 inches on that near safety. They seemed to get some swagger back this week. Hopefully they find the way to make these ALMOST opportunities in to conversions moving forward.
  22. Thats moving the uprights from what you asked… that said, In 16 or 17 seasons Warren Moon was the offensive player of the week 16 times. Josh currently has 12. Moon likely would have more if he didn’t play in Canada, but I think they’re similar cases until Josh gets his ring(s).
  23. I've got a group going too - which lot is Bills friendly?
  24. 100% - No mention of that anywhere. It may only be a small +expected value, but the right play certainly was going for 2 there.
