  1. No Leaf Clover - Metallica "Then it comes to be that the soothing light at the end of your tunnel Was just a freight train coming your way"
  2. There "unthinkable stat" is no worse than our 3 "chump" victories. We basically beat the 3 worst teams in the NFL. Even with that, Cleveland beats us if they catch the balls that hit them square in the hands. We gave the game to ZONA and they gave it right back...almost as if saying "we dont even want the win in this ugly-ass game". Funny, What about all the national prognosticators that had the Bills being relevant? I believe there were WAY more than 2
  3. somewhat explains all the letdown seasons at PITT. Always great classes, but way under preformed.
  4. I agree with the person above. Sure, he "saved" the Sabres because they were sold at a fraction of their worth. Buffalo had everything in place and the league wanted them to remain in Buffalo due to the fact it would have been even more nightmarish if they were to up and leave with little to no planning. I thank him for that, for stepping up and committing to keep the team in Buffalo. Anyone that thinks his #1 motivation was anything but making millions on the deal is simply not seeing it clearly. His #1 goal each season was to keep costs down. The lower the costs the more profit he would make in the end. As for the BIlls? They will be sold for a premium. Especially if there are investors from LA or investors wanting to move the team to LA. And, do not be surprised if Golisano came in, bought the team and then said "the Buffalo economy could no longer support the team, needs to move to LA"....you think that is nuts? Look what he did with his own business. If you want to remain in this tailspin through another period of ownership then I feel Golisano would be your man. For the franchise to move forward, for it to spark and make some serious changes (kind of like how Cleveland is) then I hope some more serious investors step up that care about football. Heck, one should be excited and energetic about owning a team, Golisano comes off in his interview as if he would just be doing everyone a favor as he did with the Sabres.
  5. been saying it for 2 years now...BEST BACKUP IN THE LEAGUE. You are INSANE if you think this team will ever get anywhere with Fitz as the QB. The Bills are soon to be, AT BEST, 3-6. It makes me feel so sad for anyone that does not realize or cannot see how bad of a Quarterback Fitzpatrick really is. "He is a leader, he has great character"...blah blah blah. Sure, but he is NOT a "winner". He will NOT be the QB of the Bills by year end and he will not be on the team next year.
  6. It amazes me that anyone can defend this as a "legal" hit. The guy was fined by the NFL for crying out loud...and a hefty amount at that. I do believe the celebration dance after the hit may have tacked on 10-15k or so, but that does not take away from the fact the hit was illegal. He clearly left his feet in an attempt to deliver this type of hit. I understand this is the NFL, but put yourself in their shoes. A needless, senseless block of this type could ruin a players career, or even worse, their life after football. What is nuts is that if this was against a Buffalo Bill everyone on here would be calling for Golden Tate to be kicked out of the league. Plain and simple it was a dirty hit. He could have accomplished the block without launching himself and could have lessened the risk of injuring Lee (and also himself) tremendously. He is 6 inches away from hitting Lee in the helmet and most likely concussing him and probably himself. I know one would say "but he didn't" and the NFL knows that as well. Their take is that everything moves so fast, a 6 inch mistake is the difference of someone getting up or someone possibly never being able to walk again. No need for this in the game PERIOD
  7. Here it is plain and simple. If you are content with being 8-8, 7-9, and maybe a long shot of 9-7 then Fitz (the best BACKUP in the league) is your man. If you are sick of not making the playoffs, or wanting to have a fighting chance if they DO make the playoffs at 9-7 then Fitz is NOT your man. FItz is capable of 2 types of games. BAD games and WELL MANAGED games. That is what he has shown in 7 years in the league. The rest of the team is built to a much higher standard that Fitzpatrick the Football Player (not the man who is a great teammate). Keep using him as a "game manager" and hope you do not fall behind to often in games as they did against the Jets. Asking Fitzpatrick to bring you back in a game is way to much. All that it does is build his "garbage stats" and give everyone on here continued false hope as they seem to forget quickly about previous weeks and previous seasons.
  8. So, talking about trends, that would put us at 8-8 on the season. Not many teams find the playoffs at 8-8. While were at it, the Bills have given up the 4th most amount of points in the league. Do you really feel that our Defense is reflective of the 4th most amount of points in the league? Point Proven...the "stat" means ZERO. I would rather be middle of the pack on TD's and be 2-0 with 2 convincing wins. Getting blown out with garbage time TD's means nothing.
  9. Did everyone forget about the 1st week and that the Bills racked up half of their TD's in garbage time? Amazing sometimes how quickly things have been forgotten. The Bills have a HUGE issue at the QB position if they plan on going any better than 8-8. Amazing.
  10. What I dont get is that people will now bash him about his job and what he does. He simply stated that Barnett is a great guy, looking forward to the season and that he relayed the fans desire to win. Realize that people have jobs that do interact with players and that players are real human beings that live among us in society. I think I took a **** once on the same toilet Jim Kelly used at the casino. It was beautiful.
  11. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap1000000059374/article/forbes-buffalo-bills-are-nfls-most-troubled-franchise?module=HP11_headline_stack So what constitutes "Most Troubled"? The fact that they make 100 million this year vs. 200 million because they signed Mario Williams?
  12. Great little tune...makes me want to go out and drive about 90 mph through traffic while pulling off a few "desk pops"
  13. I will combine the two best replies....now put those numbers into a WIN and you actually have something. Personally I could care less if he averaged 150 YPG against Revis, if it does not mean a WIN then who cares. Football is so much more than what the stats show at the end of the day. Does it say anything about Revis possibly cutting off a slant, or a fly pattern? Does it say that he may have taken the inside away or forced a 5 yard hook vs. a 9 yard hook? You know that these are the little things that a lot of fans don't see or don't realize when watching a game. I am not saying that this is/was the case as I have not watched the games closely enough. I am simply saying that if Buffalo had a "major dose" of Stevie game planned and he did his thing for 80 YPG was that what they were truly expecting to get out of him? If so, great, then next time WIN the game to make this more of a relevant stat. Without the WIN, to me, it means nothing.
  14. Thank You BPA...unfortunately I believe he needs to be honored on the Wall of Fame before they do so. Never seen so much hype for a player that was a 4th round pick 3 years ago and that has the same profile as about 100 other free agent WR's in the league. His counterpart on defense....Shawne Merriman
  15. Here are two that they cut. HAGAN and ROOSEVELT. They are both better than Brad Smith as a WR
  16. DING DING DING...we have a winner. Merriman and Vince Young huh? Merriman who has not done anything productive for 5 years other than get hurt and Vince Young who you got to see first hand at what a "winner" he was. Man, get over the players the Bills pick up and cut and look at the broad spectrum.
  17. Are we going to be talking about Easley for the next 20 years? Did you watch the same preseason where he dropped a ton of balls, ran with the 3rd team offense and was able to make 1 Kickoff return where on the other 5 or so he was stopped before the 20. Easley has no place on the active roster as of now, nor on any other team. He is the true definition of "practice squad player" in that he has potential (i guess and most on here would say) but he is no where near NFL ready. If they bring back any WR it would be Hagan or Roosevelt. Most likely though they will pick up a CB with having 3 healthy (Gilmore, Williams, McKelvin) and 2 coming off injury (McGee, Rodgers).
  18. I would be watching the wavier wire very closely. I would also look to trade for someone now. Yes, a 2nd backup QB. I would look for someone younger with starter potential. The next Matt Flynn type. I honestly would look at Washington and see if they would take a 2nd round pick for Cousins at this point. Scrap all that Brad Smith BS and let Spiller run the Wild Cat as Brad Smith is not going to throw anyway out of it so there is no way a team is going to be "tricked". Get used to them because the season is going to start in less than 2 weeks and they look TERRIBLE. Does Fitz's "windup" when he throws remind anyone else of Tebow's?".....oh wait, Tebow was "the answer" right?
  19. If you want to know the real reason behind the struggles of the Bills then this sums it up perfectly. I found this on Rotoworld and it breaks down exactly what the issue is and why the Bills looked terrible the 2nd half of last season and early this pre-season. It is not because of injury, it is not the WR's (heck, we could have the best set of WR's in the league for all we know), not Gailey, etc, etc. It is our LIMITATION at QB. Notice I did not say "Bad" QB....it is that he is rather limited. As I have stated many times before, Fitz is the best backup QB in the league. If you don't agree with me or the other minority of vans on here that try to "tell it like it is" then maybe this will help convince.... Ryan Fitzpatrick has completed just 21-of-43 passes (48.8 percent) for 208 yards (4.8 YPA), one touchdown, and no interceptions through three preseason games. He's also taken six sacks, although five came in the opener against the Redskins. Fitzpatrick was much better in preseason last year, only to start hot and fade as the real games progressed. NFL Net's Mike Lombardi has suggested defenses have caught onto the Bills' offensive scheme, realizing they can't throw vertically and struggle to hold protection for long stretches. Fitzpatrick's arm-strength limitations mean the former probably isn't going to change.
  20. LOL...before you start making comments like that, look who is throwing the ball to our WR's. When the quarterback is 4-10 or whatever he was, when the backup looked just as bad (if not worse) than the day they brought him in, then lets refocus to where the true issue is. I can promise you it is not the WR's
  21. Nah, no need to worry. Why would you listen to coaches and players? What do they know? Just listen to the people on this board and their expansive brainwashed knowledge about it "just being preseason". Here is the true test. The Bills (yes, coached and players) have come out and said they have been game planning for the Pittsburgh game in great detail. Time for them to step up and show us something. Perfect example was Green Bay last night. Their offense did not do much over the first two preseason games and got it into gear last night....and dont use "we are not Green Bay"....you need to be able to compete with teams such as that if you plan on making the playoffs.
  22. Not that it matters at this stage of his career, but HILL was once one of the top DB prospects in the nation when he signed at VT. He was an All American and was expected to be a superstar. He really never did much at VT. Obviously things change, but I thought that was interesting. Just goes to show that the transition from the High School game to the College game can even be challenging.
