  1. Curious who you want in FA? I’d love Green but doubt Brown lets him go. Best fit for this offense may actually be Emmanuel Sanders. Veteran that excels at route running, excellent stop/start ability, great hands, tough, etc. And I would absolutely flip if they found a way to draft Ruggs. Dude is dynamite. ?
  2. He’s definitely staying in NE. They’re going to have to go hard after a big WR, a TE, and probably a center and another back that they trust as much as White if they want to make a run, because Brady isn’t TOM BRADY anymore
  3. Anyone still doubt that he’s grossly underpaid compared to his peers?
  4. He’s a guy I’m very interested in seeing Buffalo draft. In an offense that needs playmakers, he’s a chess piece. A guy that defenses have to pay attention to, thereby letting your ancillary guys like Beasley and Knox chew up 1-on-1 opportunities. Get a WR1 in FA, another solid RB in FA, a dynamic WR in round 1, and Bowden in round 3 and the offense will be much scarier.
  5. He costs them next to nothing to retain, and they aren’t going to let him go. Just draft Lynn Bowden Jr
  6. Curious to know if you’ve seen the Bills’ video from inside the draft room for 2019? Beane is in charge; no question about it. It’s his show 100%. Now I’m positive that he relies on Schoen, Morgan, Gaine, and McDermott, but there’s no ambiguity regarding who has final say.
  7. I’d love Ruggs, but he won’t be there at 22.
  8. I’ve seen veteran DCs confuse QBs that have 100 starts. Just look at what McDermott has done to Brady the last 3 years
  9. My opinion on that is that Clowney isn’t in a system that is best suited for him, which was often the case in Houston as well. In Seattle, they’ve used lighter, faster EDGE guys like Avril and Clark and gotten great production from them. Plugging in a stouter, speed-to-power player isn’t going to yield the same results. As far as speed-to-power EDGE guys go, Clowney is among the best I’ve seen since Mario. Garrett is currently the best in the game; Shaq is starting to come into his own. With the way McDermott’s scheme uses a speed-to-power guy at LDE, I can easily see Clowney being a Shaq-on-roids type in this D.
  10. Clowney isn’t a pure pass rusher like Mack, so it’s not an apples to apples. He’s just as productive on a per-game basis when comparing TFLs and forced turnovers, and he’s a phenomenal run defender. He’s missed 2, 0, 2, and 5 games over the last 4 seasons
  11. Yes. Absolutely. He RACKS up TFLs regardless of scheme and talent around him. And he’s never been in a scheme that is more tailored to his abilities than McDermott’s, nor has he been surrounded by as much talent as he would be here with Hughes, Oliver, Edmunds, Milano, and the DB group.
  12. He’s an ideal fit as an LDE in this scheme. If Shaq put up 6.5 sacks and 13 TFLs, Clowney would be good for 10/20 all day long. Also, regarding Houston connections, I wouldn’t be surprised if they looked at Covington to replace Jordan.
  13. That’s what I’m expecting. A WR1, an EDGE guy, and an impact RB to pair with Singletary. Re-up KJ, Stanford, and McKenzie and sign 2nd-tier depth guys at OT, DT, and LB.
  14. Saying all of the right things, but the one comment that sticks out to me is the “deep end of the pool” re FA. Sounds more like they want 2-3 premier players and then fill in around it.
  15. You may want to mention that this photo is AFTER he bobbled the initial catch opportunity—on which the defender most certainly did NOT hook his arm
  16. Please explain whether Ford lead with his head, shoulder, or forearm, and at what point he made “forcible” contact. https://mobile.twitter.com/BradleyGelber/status/1213644881341628417?ref_src=twsrc^tfw|twcamp^tweetembed&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fd-24341112421261816867.ampproject.net%2F1912201827130%2Fframe.html Thanks in advance.
  17. Send this to Ford, Knox, and Morse with a note that says “this is the kind of rubbish that we have to hear when a 3 players miss a block that would’ve cleared the way for the QB to get into chip shot FG range”
  18. Same. I’ve had fans of the Pats******, Dolphins, Steelers, and Panthers all tell me that we’re lucky to have Josh, and that they think he’s special.
  19. I have my doubts that Gore is on the field if a run isn’t a real possibility there, but that’s kind of the problem. Why is he on the field at all?
  20. You know as well as I do that he’s looking for a certain defensive alignment that signals a check
  21. Block him and it doesn’t matter, ya know? Can’t leave it up to the refs
  22. I was told separately (well after the fact) that it would’ve gone down if not for Mike Brown being a cantankerous boob.
  23. You’re telling me. I was out of my seat and ready to shout “BALLGAME!!!1!1!1!1!”, and then somehow nobody touched Cunningham. Sickening.
  24. I think Daboll is a lot like Allen. He has talent; his play design is often creative and effective. He doesn’t quite seem to feel the game yet, and as a result he loses focus and can’t string 4 solid quarters together. An increase in talent among pass catchers and RBs will probably make him look a lot better.
