  1. So wait, does scoring matter more than completion percentage? Only 9 of the top 20 made the postseason.
  2. Right. That’s how it should be if you have a good QB and a good WR. Just like here; Brown and Beasley are both easily having their best seasons as pros, and Allen is clearly better with them than he was without them.
  3. Did you read my post before this one? Watson’s numbers are markedly different with Fuller in the game. You seem to be disregarding that his presence has a big impact on the passing game, which was my point. But either way, it’ll be fun to see how each QB fares Saturday.
  4. I like Lamar, and I don’t want to see his star fade. That said, I’m concerned for him if Roman goes. He runs a pretty unique scheme and it works for them. It would be unfortunate for Lamar if a new OC comes in and tries to change things too much.
  5. Well I can assure you that we’re cheering for you as well
  6. I’d respond to your post, but I was recently advised to stop giving dumb crap distributors the response that they’re looking for, so regrettably I must abstain. Apparently we’re stupid for not recognizing a super-clever play-on-words reference to John “Smoke” Brown.
  7. So Lynn Bowden Jr in the 4th then?
  8. I love that he went with “their most famous player is a murderer”... Quick question there hoss: who’s the Ravens most famous player?
  9. The resources that this team has for recovery and healing are truly incredible. Seriously. It’s going to be a powerful recruiting tool
  10. my point was that there’s no reason to marginalize Hyde or Fuller.
  11. how sure are you that that’s true about Hyde? According to NextGen, he’s facing 8+ in the box on 14.6 percent of his snaps. That’s actually a higher percentage than the previous best season of his career (2016 - 12.9%). Ironically, the guy that benefits the most in the entire NFL from facing 8+ in the box the least is...Devin Singletary. He faces 8+ DIB on only 5.3% of his snaps. As to Fuller, there’s a noticeable difference in Watson’s numbers with and without him: Career with Fuller: 466/700 (66.5%), 6,083 yards (8.68 YPA), 50 TDs, 20 INTs Career without Fuller: 338/504 (67%), 3,634 yards (7.21 YPA), 21 TDs, 9 INTs
  12. let’s be fair here... Hyde is having his best season as a pro. That helps a lot. Fuller may be perpetually banged up, but there’s no denying how impactful he is when he’s on the field. He’s been Watson’s most reliable deep threat. He also has had enormous games in the past 2 years—he had 14 receptions in week 5 alone.
  13. Right now Watson is the better player, but it’s a lot closer than I expected it to be even 2 months ago.
  14. They’ve mixed it in for sure; Sunday it felt like every other snap was Slick in ghost motion. Either way, I think they’ve been playing the long game with it, and I expect to see some payoff.
  15. wouldn’t shock me at all to see Nsekhe get snaps as a 6th OL—both in run situations and when they want to dial up a deep shot. Give Allen plenty of time to set up and let it go.
  16. Because so many of those lead to playoff berths? Just seems very random
  17. The first play I thought of was the one that they picked. Shady's GW TD in the snow set the stage for the playoff drought to be broken.
  18. Slick isn't going to sit. They deliberately ran a TON of ghost motion and jet sweeps with him in week 17 to get it on film for Saturday. I fully expect that ghost motion will be a big part of their offensive game plan. Expect a few misdirection plays from it--an Allen sweep, a dump off to Knox/Kroft, a naked wheel route for a deep shot, etc. If he's not in the game, you don't get the buy in from the defense's film study.
  19. I actually like the idea of having a Brad Smith/Joe Webb/Taysom Hill type that can play WR, ST, KR, and be an emergency QB. I would always want one of those dudes on my roster. He'd also be my holder on place kicks to keep the threat of a fake alive on all attempts.
  20. No one said to cut him, and nobody mentioned Allen as a comparison that I saw. The OP said that the team should be looking to upgrade, and I'm not sure why anyone would disagree. Gotta give this post a ? Well done. Needed some humor after a long night.
  21. No hate actually. I simply have no pity for him missing a playoff opportunity. I really try not to use the word "hate" in any capacity--except for Edelman; I hate that a-hole and have no remorse.
  22. I don't. I'd be fine if he never played another down. I'll always consider him an all-time scumbag for going low on EJ and then celebrating the resulting injury.
  23. We've faced teams with 3 good receivers before. Cooper/Cobb/Gallup comes to mind. We'll be okay.
  24. Not me. I want him in there. He's capable of making a game-changing play on a return, and in the playoffs, you're probably going to need a big play on ST at some point.
