  1. Anyone care that the Eagles would take a $400k cap hit in addition to what they already owe Jeffery if they trade him? This ain’t happenin’
  2. Why isn’t there more talk surrounding Jalen Reagor? I demand answers.
  3. 2 fewer than Jared Allen... Nothing to worry about. He’s plenty tough enough on the field.
  4. I think the Giants and Cardinals are the teams that will determine how the top-10 unfolds regarding OTs vs elite defenders. Either team could go OT, and either team could go defense. I really think that NYG will go Becton; Getts loves the massive OL guys. Arizona strikes me as a perfect fit for Jedrick since he’s able to keep up with Murray’s athleticism and Kingsbury’s run scheme.
  5. Very, very happy to see the Bills meeting with offensive skill players in abundance. Gotta infuse the roster with offensive talent in both draft and FA
  6. Jedrick is Cleveland’s guy
  7. “‘We traded 2 picks to move up and draft Cody Ford thinking he could maybe play OT, but if not we’ll slide him to guard. Now that we’re not so sure he’s a tackle, we should draft another guy that probably isn’t a fit at tackle”. ?
  8. Buffalo got a LOT more physical on defense; started using LBs to batter Houston’s 4 WR set and throw off the timing of the R-A-S. Offensively, Kenny Davis’ hard-nosed running style was a better matchup against a Houston defense that played nickel and dime to avoid big plays. That, and a little bit of luck between the OS kick, the Beebe play, and Montgomery muffing a FG snap.
  9. I know what you mean; hear me out for a second... There are certain positions for which it’s rare to see an elite player in their prime hit the market—QB, LT, WR, pass rusher, CB. There are others where it happens quite often—interior OL, RB, run-stopping DT, LB, S. Given that the odds are much higher if finding an elite talent in round 1 (just by virtue of the larger talent pool), doesn’t it make sense to draft the premium positions in round 1? That way you always have them in the queue and don’t have to find them in FA.
  10. Hmmm...weird then that the team with the star-studded Martin-Frederick tandem got absolutely manhandled by the team with the better pass rush on thanksgiving. The point here is that you win games with great pass rushers, great corners, or great individual efforts from QBs and WRs. You’ll never once hear that Quentin Nelson was the difference in a winning effort. Not because he’s not good, but because guard simply isn’t an impact position. Just follow the money. There’s a reason that QBs, WRs, pass rushers, tackles, and corners are the 5 highest paid positions in the game. You want to have those guys on your roster already, so that you don’t have to pay a premium to get them in FA. Other positions are MUCH easier to fill in FA, so it’s not nearly as important to draft them early.
  11. Is Frederick or Martin or Nelson so much better than Quinton Spain or Mitch Morse? Not really, and Buffalo picked those two up in FA for zero investment. If you want to make a case that a generational talent at LB is also worthy, then sure, I’ll listen. But there’s absolutely no way that Quentin Nelson is a better draft pick than a franchise LT. As good a guard as he may be, he’s never going to be the difference between winning the Super Bowl and not. Are there situations where a team might go outside those premium positions to fill a need? Sure, but they should only do so when they’re already set at the premium spots and feel that the guy they’re taking is the final piece to winning a championship.
  12. Not necessarily a “bad” pick, but certainly not optimal.
  13. Everything that’s not a QB, WR1, dominant LT, pass rusher, or CB. You can find everything else in FA in any given offseason.
  14. I think Baltimore will be high on him as well. DeCosta loves the gadget-types, and Roman is the kind of OC that will figure out ways to make him effective in the snaps he does play. In an offense where so much of the attention will be on Lamar and the run game, a less-refined guy with some juice can be a bigger asset than he could be elsewhere.
  15. I feel like someone—NYG, Jax, Cleveland, etc will take him. He’s too good. That’s typically where the elite talent is found though.
  16. Gettleman is the NYG GM, yes. I’m talking about Carolina. And the Giants didn’t trade up for Jones; they took him at 6.
  17. The fact that the team is 0-9 in his last 9 starts isn’t a problem?
  18. New HC that just got the keys to the kingdom and a big, day contract + team need for QB + owner that likes to make a splash = flashy QB trade up for me
  19. If one of the following fell out of the top 7, I’d move up: Chase Young Jeff Okudah Derrick Brown Javon Kinlaw Isaiah Simmons
  20. Carolina is going to 4 for a QB. Book it.
  21. He looks like a RB playing WR to me. I think he’s got a very long way to go before he’s ready to contribute as anything beyond a gadget guy. I’ll go as far as saying that he’s facing a serious drop if he disappoints in the 40.
  22. Maybe it’s as simple as they feel that Nsekhe outplayed him. That would be absolutely fine with me
