  1. Yeah, I'd agree with pretty much all of that
  2. Figured he would once I really got into evaluating him. Both big-time OSU DBs (Lattimore and Hooker) are my #1s at their position
  3. No, he's not as limiting for sure. That said, do you trust him to win a game with his arm when necessary? I personally don't.
  4. I'm there; I have him in the 25-40 range. Generally agree--I rated Humphrey as my CB4 behind Lattimore, Jones, and King. Something like 17-25.
  5. The OL ran a fair amount of zone last year. They mixed inside, outside, split, pin/pull, radar, and a few other zone concepts into their man schemes. As I said before, zone blocking as a primary will actually simplify the run game.
  6. I've only seen the two games from his senior year that draftbreakdown has available, but I'm very intrigued. Everything with him is fast--fast delivery, explosive when he breaks the pocket, quick to go to his first target when it's open. I posted the Northern Michigan game because it's in All-22, so you can see him going through progressions. I'll be incredibly interested to see what happens at the Senior Bowl--it's difficult for QBs to do too much given the differences in systems, targets, etc., but if he can handle his business, you'll see the Pipkin talk kick up substantially. Huh...didn't know that.
  7. Tell you what--if this team is bent on keeping Tyrod, and wants a backup with a similar skill set, they might consider Antonio Pipkin from Tiffin College. As a senior, he completed 66% of his passes, threw for 25 TDs against 7 INTs, and rushed for over 900 yards with 8 rushing TDs. I predict that Pipkin will become a few folks' darling after the Senior Bowl
  8. I feel vindicated by his All-Pro selection This year, we'll be at odds of Bisno--I know you don't like him...I think he can develop into a starting lineman; I'm just not sure where yet.
  9. Doesn't really worry me for multiple reasons: 1) This team needs to get 2 legitimate starting tackles on the field in 2017 2) We can easily slide Glenn back to LT if Kouandjio departs in FA 3) Kouandjio signing a LT contract in FA means a likely 3rd round comp pick 4) The above approach gives the team a full year to groom a replacement at RT
  10. Now you know how I felt when y'all kept on about Jack Conklin having to play guard
  11. I like Ja-Ro quite a bit--I don't think he's got either the long speed or short-area quickness to be a great all-around receiver, but he certainly can make plays as a possession guy and in the red zone.
  12. Get. In. Line. That's my guy
  13. For those with short memories: Denver won the Super Bowl last year with the best secondary in the NFL. NE won the previous year with Revis/Browner starting and Malcolm Butler. Seattle won the year before that with the best secondary in the NFL. This year is the aberration, not the norm. Which is why Buffalo made the playoffs when they amassed over 100 sacks in a two-season span, right? Wait...
  14. I'm not convinced that he'll be a great NFL QB; I merely believe that he's got the best chance of any player that will be drafted in 2017. As for why--you'll have to wait for my QB preview like everyone else.
  15. Yeah, it's a Carolina type move. I think it'd be a good fit as a value signing. I would hope that it wasn't our "main" move at the position. Personally, I really want a Budda Baker type in the draft if he slips.
  16. I don't know about cap space, but I know that they really like both Eric Reid (who will be up for a new deal next year) and Jaquiski Tartt, plus they have Jimmie Ward (who plays safety against base sets and nickel corner against small sets). I thought it was more or less a forgone conclusion that he'd be cut, but I suppose they could keep him.
  17. Tell your friend to get in line; it starts right behind yours truly
  18. Also, they liked him quite a bit back in the 2014 draft--apparently there was some infighting between O'Brien and Smith. Smith won, and the Texans took Xavier Sua'Filo No. 33 overall. And O'Brien's old boss got Jimmy G.
  19. Lucha libre taco shop on Washington St--my friends took me there 10+ years ago and I haven't stopped thinking about it since
  20. Then compare the 2 receivers. I'd wager most NFL corners would rather play 10 snaps against Woods than 1 against Brown.
  21. To be fair, Brown had no trouble toasting Darby for a 40-yard catch in the 1st Q, nor did Ben have any issue putting up 150+ passing yards in the first 18 minutes. That they couldn't get the ball to Brown under Gilmore's watch shan't be marginalized--even if you're just needling me Is that why Richard Sherman has an easy job? His job didn't look too easy when Robert Woods are him alive on MNF, nor did it look easy against Matt Ryan and Co. on Saturday.
  22. He certainly could--I was approaching it from the standpoint of who would be the guy that each team would build around for the next 2-3 years It's a good point though
  23. Didn't watch the Buf-Pit game huh?
