  1. Ugh--we're lucky, Mrs. Bandit doesn't have it that bad; her problems are more on the inconvenience/annoyance scale as opposed to the pain/discomfort scale.
  2. There are, and many of them taste quite good. Problem is that they still have cheese
  3. Not to the 10% of the population that actually have issues. Of course, Mrs. Bandit isn't celiac, but we have most definitely noticed that she has certain autoimmune responses to gluten and dairy. When she doesn't eat them, those reactions go away. Call it what you like, but as folks that are quite health-conscious and natural skeptics of nutritional alarmism, we've found something that works.
  4. We don't do pizza often either...it's basically everything she shouldn't have. I'll occasion to do a meat-crusted pizza, basically a meatloaf style recipe baked in the oven with pizza sauce on top. It does the job if we're craving pizza. Now, on the nights that Mrs. Bandit goes to her mom meetings, the boys and I will indulge on our own, and its spectacular. The other one that stinks is no ice cream, but there are plenty of good substitutes for that now. Fortunately Mrs. Bandit legitimately loves salads, so those are always an option.
  5. Mrs. Bandit is actually sensitive to both as well--I, obviously, am not. However, I try not to eat that stuff around her, even though she's pretty cool about it. Good news is that we have enough food around that she enjoys, so she usually doesn't feel like she's missing out on anything. She's moved from bread/baked goods to super-dark chocolate, and when she does have dairy it's typically almond or coconut milk
  6. We usually have between 30 and 40 people.
  7. Wait, which is it? Homemade ravs, or is the bakery hand-making them? Not being uppity, just curious, since I haven't attempted homemade ravs since my mom passed 3-1/2 years ago. Not because I'm sad or traumatized or anything, but simply because it's so time-consuming even with the guidance of a master rav-maker. Though I do still have a bag of 100% duram semolina flour in the freezer... Also, do you blanch/bake or just bake? I used to blanch them, but mom smacked me around one year and made it quite clear to me: bake only. Sure, they suck up about 2x as much sauce, but the texture comes out an absolutely perfect al dente that I simply cannot reproduce by blanching.
  8. Mild beef chili Spicy chicken chili Italian-style chicken cutlets BBQ beef brisket Antipasto salad Sausage/cream cheese/tomato dip Stuffed banana peppers Cheese and fruit trays Mexican chocolate cupcakes Chocolate-peanut butter cheesecake Vanilla-raspberry cheesecake A few dozen Paula's donuts
  9. Someone is going to get a heck of a LB on day 3 when they draft UCLA's Jayon Brown. He reminds me of De'Vondre Campbell last year--on the small size, but extremely athletic and instinctive. I mean, watch this play at the 5:03 mark of the Stanford game...you can't teach this stuff (he's #12, so ignore the icon hanging over the head of Eddie Vanderdoes):
  10. Great stuff as always Gunner. We're fairly close on these guys, as you'll see in another month or so when I start rolling out my evaluations
  11. I think I've more than held up my end of the bargain stat-wise: http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/191433-gilmore-the-shadow-knows/page-9?do=findComment&comment=4234493 If someone wants to spend their time digging up missed tackle numbers so that they can use that one metric to attempt to marginalize his ability as a player, then more power to them.
  12. Feeling that the team should let Gilmore walk is fine; banging the all-too-familiar drum that he doesn't want to be here is silly IMO. As to the previous examples, if Peters was traded, and Evans, Johnson, Wood, Hughes, and Glenn all re-signed long term deals in Buffalo, then I would argue that fans were quite literally proven wrong about the majority of those guys "not wanting to be here". As others have said (and I'm sure you know--you're a good poster), it's simply a money issue. If Gilmore gets a number he's happy with he'll re-sign. If he doesn't he'll hit the market.
  13. He cannot possibly be any worse than the last GM Grigson was atrocious
  14. This is what fans say every single time a player is up for unrestricted free agency. Every. Time. Without fail. Off the top of my head, I can say with certainty that I've read this very statement, on this very board, about: Jason peters Lee Evans Stevie Johnson Jairus Byrd Andy Levitre Eric Wood Cordy Glenn Jerry Hughes And now Gilmore. It's silly. As for the "he's not very good" crowd, well, go check the "shadow" thread--I promise he's right up there with the elites in terms of both coverage skill and tackle numbers.
  15. Completely different discussion
  16. Unless, of course, you were to look at the numbers each player amassed in his first 3 NFL seasons...in which case, they're remarkably close.
  17. He tends to struggle on the road as a rule, but it's mostly INTs. Their passing game was actually on fire early--they had over 150 passing yards (to Buffalo's -14) 3 minutes into the 2nd Q
  18. Brown ran 18 routes against Gilmore...the results speak for themselves: 2 catches, 29 yards, 1 INT I don't remember saying that he was elite, but I did say that--by all metrics--he has a valid argument to be included with each of the guys traditionally mentioned as top-10 corners (and top-5 corners for that matter)
  19. That's what I want from my corners--totally unnoticeable. He's the least-targeted corner in the league on a per-snap basis, and his numbers when targeted are nearly identical to Richard Sherman's: Gilmore stats for the 2016 season: 69 targets, 40 receptions, 627 yards, 2 TDs, 5 INTs, 67.7 passer rating against Sherman stats for the 2016 season: 85 targets, 44 receptions, 624 yards, 2 TDs, 4 INTs, 64.0 passer rating against
  20. My opinion last year was that I'd go as high as $12.5M AAV, and that definitely hasn't changed. I don't think he'll accept that--I certainly wouldn't; corners tend to get PAID, and he's the #1 corner on the market--and thus I think he's a goner.
  21. Now that I agree with
  22. Facts? Every single one of those is an opinion (or a supposition). I haven't seen any information that contends that Buffalo could've traded down in 2012. And if we're going to ask for Gilmore to "take over a game and win it", why don't we ask which CBs have done that--ever...let alone which ones have done it in recent memory. As for when Gilmore has done it, well, dial up the 2014 game against Green Bay. His effort was enough to force Aaron Rodgers' worst game as a pro despite zero sacks from the defense in the first 58 minutes. If you want facts, here they are: http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/191433-gilmore-the-shadow-knows/page-9?do=findComment&comment=4234493
  23. Thanks for adding a bit more context. That meshes with the eye-test; teams don't target him.
  24. He's on my list, but I haven't gotten to him yet--will re-visit once I do for sure. Not one of my favorites--at least not as a safety. I see a guy that doesn't carry well in man coverage, and doesn't take great angles in zone. He may be able to add weight and play a whip-type role, but I'm not spending a high pick on a guy that hasn't played that role much. Maybe more of a R3-R4 guy.
  25. That's exactly what I was thinking...guys that can jam/redirect, and then switch levels to close and seal. Bonus points if they have a naturally-physical game.
