Because Stats don't support that.... the average of Vick's 2 best years statistically vs average of TT only Two years as a starter.... The fact you would call someone an idiot on a fan post speaks to your level of character... to disagree is perfectly acceptable, but your response offers no value. I haven't anytime for a person of your ilk Topic started not to support Vick, or TT for that matter-- more so to point out there are a lot of people who at the time would have clamored for Vick. Therefore the thread only points out if you had been a fan of Vick maybe you would take a moment to see that the state line isn't all that different... reason for the point... we are hard on TT because he's not elite - but he has comparable talent to previous QB's who were capable of being playoff caliber talent. That's all. Not standing on a soap box claiming either QB is the next hall of famer - just a comp for consideration

Would you take Michael Vick in his best rated year over Tyrod Taylor? If you would then I'd say Tyrod is capable.... in a year when the replacement options are far from exciting - Tyrod provides a middle of the pack option - the difference between QB 7-17 isn't a lot. And the price per cap is very respectable --- I've been torn but after further review I think keeping Tyrod is worth the risk, and a healthy offense may assist him in a return to 2015 levels or better. 2010 Vick vs 2015 Taylor - a wash

I will be very interested to see where the colts are in a couple years - I believe he will be an upper echelon GM... and if a coaching change is needed, I wouldn't be surprised if Dave Toub is their next hire.

Ok maybe I'm not being clear - new here, so still getting the feel of how to post without writing novels... similar, as in short for the position, mobile, strong arm. I'm not saying he is Wilson. Wilson came out of college better with accuracy, reading defenses, and mechanically more sound. I'm not comparing them as their draft profile reads either. One was much more pro ready then the other. Hell, Tyrod was being discussed as a QB who would make his salt as a WR or RB possibly... all I'm saying is if Tyrod is our QB, maybe a person who has worked with Wilson can improve Tyrods game in certain areas, such as seeing the middle of the field, can provide a playbook tailored to a mobile strong armed QB. Essentially if Lynn isn't the OC, and Tyrod is the QB, possibly the best people to make the most of him are from a staff that had Wilson. Doesn't mean Tyrod becomes Wilson, but could mean we get the most out of Tyrod - and maybe improve upon his weaknesses---- the point was made in defense of the logic of interviewing the Richards coach.... not to debate QB's Additional note - I was having an opinion of coaches on their list of interviews.... I'm not necessarily a proponent of any of them. If I were to have a choice... I'd prefer Dave Toub. He'd be the one I'd choose of all new or retread coaches to lead this team.....

I would love to see Whaley replaced by Chris Ballard and have him bring Dave Toub with him as HC
