  1. FACT: It has been reported that Bill Cowher has been house shopping in Cleveland for months which tells me a few things. At the end of this season both Crenell and Savage are fired and Cowher gets the GM and HC jobs paying him around 10 mill Cleveland and Buffalo are very similar cities and I'd imagine if Ralph Wilson would dig deep he could still get Cowher, doubtful tho
  2. Stop with the Cowher talk,it has been reported he has been house shopping in Cleveland for months. He will be the next browns head coach and GM after this season ends. Savage and Crenell are both history. Besides Ralph Wilson would never pay the 10 Mill Cowher will get...
  3. This is the first DJ replacement that actually makes some good sense. If only he could bring that Giants D and running game with him. Man Marsharn could be so awesome if the Bills would only run him more
  4. First, he is currently getting paid more money then Ralph Wilson is willing to pay him,and then the bills would have to eat DJ's extension, ain't gonna happen. Second, Jerry Jones would never let him get away,he is learning under Wade Phillips and will take over HC job next year most likely.
  5. Well,it is a possibility that the Bills just simply over looked the 49ers because of their record and the bills were looking way to hard at the Miami game which is up next after the Niners'.If that is the case they will most likely lose to Miami also. Nate Clements could have had a big hand in helping out the 49ers.You would think that the Bills would have changed their playbook after different Offensive coordinators. But I seriously doubt it simply because they have had two young QB's and its such a pain to install new plays, routes and calls. They might have changed the terminology somewhat but mostly it didn't change much. Bad kicks, both Mooreman and Lindell...Roscoe down's a punt inside the 10,is he a niners fan ?Special teams besides the rookie McKelvin were really bad. Penalties, dropped passes.over thrown and under thrown balls really hurt. Edwards getting injured didn't help either, although he was having another horrid game before he was injured. He might have played his way out of it in the second half. Losman getting virtually no snaps in practice didn't help either. Not having Greer in the secondary also hurt, though the D played an awesome game except for that first 49er drive. The one thing that bugs me the most is with Lynch playing as well as he was I would think that the Bills would have run him 25+ times in that game, not 16. Bills QB's were 21 of 38 passing....way to many passes for only being down by 7 pts
  6. Special teams hasn't been so special lately... How many times have I seen Roscoe touch the freaking ball inside the 10 yard line on a punt return? Why Can't April get through to this guy and others to just let it go into the end zone. April can't help this team ATM IMO.
  7. Besides I haven't "Girded my Loins" in a very long time..
  8. Your high. Ralph just signed him to an extension.which means that if he fires him now he would have to eat the contract and continue to pay him, meanwhile hiring another head coach and pay him also...not gonna happen IMO
  9. Bill Cower has been house hunting for months in the Cleveland area
  10. After watching the NFL network show about Marty at his home watching his sons coach. The OC Brian for the Jets and the other an assistant for the Packers. He stated he is done coaching and is fully retired so I doubt he would be interested in Buffalo.
  11. Look what Norv Turner did to a 14-2 San Diego Chargers team, they are currently 4-8 Seattle, a playoff team a year ago is 2-10,same head coach too Kansas City, Herm Edwards took a really good Dick Vermeil team and is "rebuilding' Philadelphia with a healthy Donovan McNabb, is 6-5-1 Green Bay was 13-3 last year with Farve, now 5-7 The Bills are tied with New Orleans at 6-6 and the Bills don't even have Drew Brees! Seriously, Its hard to understand this loss when Marshawn Lynch powers his way to 130+ yards on the ground.
  12. That certainly could be a possibility, another ex Bill like Antowain Smith and Sammy Morris haunting the Bills on a regular basis. If it happens I wonder If JP will get a SB ring with the Pats....
  13. JP had four years...of what? different head coaches, different offensive coordinators, different QB coaches? Out his first year with a broken leg. JP had some really good games and some bad games. That happens to almost every new young QB though. Lets not forget that Eli Manning was getting hammered by critics for his bad play and mental mistakes until the latter part of last year when the proverbial "lights" went on and he started playing great consistently. It took him four FULL years (of playing) to finally get it! My take is if JP had started for the NY Giants instead of Eli and had that power running game behind him all this time while he learned to read defenses and garnered 4 solid years of experience, who is to say he wouldn't have developed as well as Eli? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Drafted 04,broken leg in training camp and played backup to Bledsoe and only saw brief action in three games. 05,started 11 games in 2005,replaced by Kelly Holcomb for 5 games 06,Losman had a 62.5 completion percentage for the season, a record for Buffalo Bill quarterbacks in a full 16-game season. He was rated the 11th best passer in the NFL, with an 84.9 passer rating.Losman's performance over the last half of the 2006 season was greatly improved. However, the offense as a whole was hurt by a below-average rushing attack that created many 3rd and long situations. 07,played in 8 games So he really had one season to develop and with a weak running game it just makes it almost impossible for a new QB to play well. Want to blame someone, blame the play calling and lack of ground game. The Bills will continue to lose games when they force any young QB to carry the team I'm kinda hoping the NY Giants or Minnesota gets him. a power running game would really help him a lot

  15. Don't be surprised if he should land on a really good team that wants to develop him more. He is not as bad as most of you make him out to be.Given the right situation he could be really good down the road,or really bad depending on where he lands.Just my take

  17. I Agree Seems like the OP has an idea in his head that he doesn't like Roscoe Parish an no logical argument is going to change it. Most of us see and understand your points its just that we don't agree with you. I still fault Edwards lack of throwing to his receivers and the coaching staff. Dunno, perhaps you didn't notice but until this last week the Bills RARELY used play action passing at all. Edwards was in shotgun formation about 80% of the time and usually dumped his passes to the RB's. I like Roscoe and hope the Bills keep him,as the OC gets more experience calling plays and Edwards gets more experience playing perhaps they will utilize the wideouts properly
  18. I love how you guys are so quick to dismiss valued players on this Bills team. Roscoe is wayyyy better then rookies James Hardy or Steve Johnson. Those two might take years to get to where Parish is now. Like Josh Reed years...in 6 or so. The ONLY reason Johnson got the nod over Hardy is because he has shown a better ability to run more then the simple routes and he catches the ball. That does mean Johnson will never even see the field if Reed and Parish are healthy! Simply because the Bills are getting other players ready behind the starters doesn't automatically make them better or more capable. Besides, even if Johnson started playing like a world beater.. which he isn't! What makes you think Edwards will get him the ball? The guy just can't stop hitting the RB in the flat. We the fans should name him "Mr dump off". I like Trent Edwards but he really needs to work on throwing to his receivers more often. Anytime the RB has as many receptions as the main wideout it has to be somewhat disconcerting. Shoot, the way Fred Jackson and Marshawn Lynch catch the ball I'd start one in the back field and put the other in the slot
  19. You keep posting his stats over and over expecting an argument that the guy is an elite NFL receiver,he isn't! I've got a better stat for you to chew on ...Yahoo quote: Note that Parrish has only had over 60 receiving yards in a game once in his entire NFL career. I don't think its his fault if the coaches refuse to utilize him properly. The QB, Trent Edwards is not considered a deep ball guy either. Right now Marshawn Lynch is tied with Lee Evans on the team for most reception with 42. What does that tell you about Roscoe or Josh Reed seeing the ball. This year he is coming on, Trent does find him occasionally and he does catch the ball and make plays. If only the coaches would find a way to get the guy the ball in open space he could become a star.
  20. Gotta hand it to the Jets. the mangenius built the team from the O-line up with tackle D'brickashaw Ferguson and center Nick Mangold in the draft, then added Fanaca and Woody...unreal I was thinking after free agency that the Jets would be improved but even with all that talent they still had a QB with a noodle for an arm in Pennington. Besides, the bills had his number and once hurried a few times folded like a lawn chair. Then Farve /cry...the only bright spot might be that no matter how well the Jets finish this year it is most likely Brett's last. we hope
  21. The Bills coaching staff and OC went from an over conservative to a rookie play caller. They guy definitely has the speed and can run routes. My point is simply...I think its the coaches failure to make certain he gets the ball more in open space.
  22. Would you trade away Josh reed at this point? No way. Look how long it took for him to develop into a really good possession type receiver. Anyone remember all those dropped balls ? Although Roscoe is still developing he doesn't miss many balls his way.Part of the problem is how the Bills utilize him or should I say under utilize him ? Not for nothing but the combination of Lee Evans on one side and Roscoe on the other side both running fly patterns should scare the hell out of opponents and open up the middle. Then with Josh Reed and the tight ends in the Middle both should be open and man this offense should be so explosive! Just hit a few of those deep balls or middle balls and it drops the backers and safeties deeper in coverage and opens up the running game. That's when play action really starts clicking. Like I said the Bills offense could be so much more explosive. I suppose it might take Drew Brees throwing and Sean Payton calling plays to make it happen though
  23. Look 'Stupid Nation it figures you would complain about one of the only bright spots for the Bills the last few games.Hate ML all you want. I could care less what your moronic opinion is.The simple fact is I'm darn glad he is a Buffalo Bill and so are many other people. IF the Bills were to part with ML for some reason.. Right now Lynch would be starting for the Patriots and he would get 1400 yards this season easily. The Pats front office is upset at Laurence Marhoney because he avoids contact, something ML doesn't do. Even if LM were healthy Lynch would start over him.The Pats took a nobody from nowhere and he got 100 yards on the bills,I would really not like to see what Lynch would do against the Bills D. Free agent, definitely Denver would love the guy right about now, another 1400+ season..and most likely propel them far into the playoffs He would start in Seattle,Tampa Bay,Arizona,Detroit and Cincy. Pittsburgh,Philly,New Orleans,Washington,Oakland all have really good backs but they can't stay healthy,so all those teams would give him a long look. Be grateful the Bills have such an outstanding talented running back,he showed what he can do against the browns and Chiefs and will continue to play great if they will utilize him properly and use Play action plays instead of constant shotguns. The offensive line finally started to play decently and it showed with ML getting 118 yards on the ground with 23 carries and another 58 yards receiving against Cleveland. He also did very well against the Chiefs Quote from Yahoo: Tue, Nov 25 RB Marshawn Lynch rushed for 79 yards on 20 carries in Sunday's laugher over Kansas City, and he is beginning to get into a serious groove. He's finally getting more repetitions rushing and receiving from the coaching staff and is responding to the workload. He's tied for the team lead in catches with Lee Evans at 42. (Yahoo! Sports) Read the article by Allen Wilson in the Two Bills Drive media section titled :Bills backs live up to ‘beast’ reputation. a snippet-Lynch carries Hali and LB Rocky Boiman 5 yards before going down. Total gain: 5 yards. Yards after contact: 5. says it all
  24. The AVG career span of an NFL player is 3 years. The Running backs take more abuse then any other players bar none. Most people don't realize the amount of special talent, ability and even luck it takes to get a player through a 10+ year career. I regard Walter Payton as the best running back of all time because he managed to gain all those yards while being on some pretty lousy teams with horrid O-lines. Unlike Emmitt Smith who had one of the best teams and O-lines in football for years. P.S. I look at Brett Farve and just simply think...amazing! Even Cal Ripkin Jr thinks Brett is amazing
