See this is why I have such an issue with trading up. The Bills have so many holes to fill and the draft Ammo to do it. Why don't They just do that this year . I totally get that a Franchise QB is the most important position but will a rookie QB win a super bowl without a supporting cast?

The Franchise tag speculation just puts together a list of players that the Bills would never sign. Beane is not going to give a Max contract to anybody except maybe a QB. Depressing. Free Agency period will have us signing a few second and third tier FA's . If they are gems like Poyer I am ok with that. Remember how desperate this place was on the opening day of Free agency in years past?

Beane is a smart gm and seems to have a clear vision of how he wants to build this team. I don't think he moves up at all and takes the bpa at 21 and 22 and the rest of the picks he fills needs. I think the 2018 qb will be on the roster well before the draft. He may take a flyer on a QB prospect later but the Bills will make all 5 of their picks in the top 100 count.

This is why I think this would never happen. Beane has always preached he wanted manageable and rookie contracts on the books. Does that exclude a signal caller? As they say in the south: we're fixin to find out.
