The team has to draft even better if they do get that qb and manage assets better. Green Bay decided to let go of Hyde and sign Bennett. Had they done the opposite I think that defense is slightly better and in the playoffs. The margin of victory in the nfl is usually so low it’s such a little move that can be the difference.
They might need to go the way of having a great team around a qb on their rookie deal going forward. Instead of paying the qb spreading money around the roster
All nfl coaches must carry guns to protect from players coming after them right? It sounds like addicts talking. Gotta get guns man, coming for my guns. You got any guns? Try this gun man it’s the best!
Meanwhile in reality...
you'd think a 25 year old top cb would be part of the rebuild. all the other guys are older and on their way out. still waiting on what they got which should be a decent haul
Jackson does run but he also threw for over 3500 yards the past two years. tyrods most was 2700 his senior year and 700 rushing. jackson had 1600 rushing. jackson is by far the better prospect.
mcd might think he's at least better than tyrod. the thing is they need to keep trying if jackson isn't the guy. he can turn out to be pretty good but also easy to move on.
I know this may sound nuts but what if Beane offered Tre White and 21 for the 3 pick or 2 pick? White is easily our best asset i'd think right now and has a high value. It would suck losing him but if we can get a franchise qb it should be considered.
