Remember two years ago, Butler was hurt and hardly even played in the preseason. Game 1 he started over Fowler and some other slug. If the past is any indication, the coaches are not afraid to make a call like this.

you have to look at this as positive. We'd have a young line that is going to just get better and better over time. Not this year but in a few they could be dominant. The two weak spots on the line are at the tackles. Draft a top end right tackle next year and this line is set for a long time. Right now keep the changes to a minimum. Bell. Levitre. Hangartner. Wood. Butler.

This O-line will not be ready until the end of this season. After the season we will replace the LT, RT, RG and center for next year by moving Wood to center, Butler back to RG, we will draft a LT with our 5th pick of the draft, and insert Bell at RT. Only Levitre will be starting in 2010 where he started in 2009. Our 2010 line will gel by the end of the 2010 season. After that season ............

What have you seen that can possibly support this optimism? This is a rerun of last year's preseason except our regular schedule was cake last year. 4 wins if we get lucky, 6 wins will be a great season for these players. If we win one divisional game we will be lucky.

Marcellus Willey had a good year or two with SD but never was quite the beast he was in Buf. Maybe a lot of the FA take this route..... Take steroids or HGH early in their career until they get their FA contract. Once they get the fat contract they stop the juice because of the long term side effects. They last a year or two or three but never meet past performance and then that's it. Sometimes injuries set in and they don't heal so quick without the juice.

If Ellison could start as a rookie surely so can Harris. Harris is an upgrade with big upside. I'd drop Ellison and develop Bowen, Buggs or Palmer. Watch Byrd, he will be starting by mid year.

With TO we will aspire to become average. If TE won't get the ball out or is running to save his life TO won't be much help. A sh1tty run game won't help either.
