  1. It wasn't that difficult of a question. I take it you either don't date or are not married as you would always be debating with yourself on wether or not it is a good idea.
  2. I agree. But what I think the Bills were thinking 1) will Corner make the jump? 2) will Youboty comeback from his injury in time 3) you really can't count on a 6th rounder in his first year, 4) what if we lose a corner for the season in training camp?. Getting an experienced guy like Flo won't hurt. AND, as we all know you can never have enough corners....
  3. usually you look at won / loss records. DJ doesn't cut it there either. Also quips like "the team plays hard for him" don't mean a thing if you keep losing.
  4. St Louis fans are not that nervous about losing them. The way the Rams have been playing they will pack the moving vans. St Louis fans zero interest in financing a new stadium which by contract they are required to do or the team is allowed to move, they loathe the seat licenses they have already bought and and watching games in the dome absolutely sucks.
  5. I'd say they have a lot of DE's. They are "stacked" actually means most of them are worth a damn.
  6. Jets third, Miami Second and the Pats first. I just don't feel think that a revamped Oline with two rookies starting, three undersized TE's not known for blocking, a starting RB suspended for the first three games will do the trick. Brining in one good receiver and a halfway decent center and all our holes are covered? I'd like to join the bills optimist society but I am not sure I'd be allowed in.
  7. a play off someone else's post on Wood and Levitre... A gain of 6 for McIntyre following Levitre with Wood pulling.. All we need is an excited Rick Jennerette to call a Bills game.
  8. You are correct, I don't know that they are not changing it. I made this assumption on the fact that we are hearing a lot about a new offensive philosophy - no huddle - and using the backs more as receivers - and mean and nasty upfront. The fact that they are not saying anything about a new defensive philosophy led me to assume we are not changing from the old one. I think we need to be mean and nasty with our front seven on defense but unfortunately I think we have a bunch of nice guys.
  9. Below is the list of the offseason moves the Bills made to improve their run defense. 1. 2. 3. The Bills were 21st or worse in most defensive rushing categories including 1st downs, scoring, YPC and YPG. Like most of the bottom dozen rush defenses their defensive passing & overall stats skewed to look decent because their run defense was weak. Schobel is coming back and he is steady but everyone acknowledges that he is not a stalwart run defender, Maybin is an addition to the defense but he won't play many running downs, Denney and Kelsay are nothing special, no new DT's and with the exception os Stroud the defensive line is extremely mediocre. Counting on McCargo to come through is a long shot. Poz is not a dominant force at MLB, Mitchell is okay but Ellison would not start on any other team in the league. As they do not seem to be making any changes to their defensive philosophy or players is there any reason to expect any improvement in 2009? The pass rush may be slightly better but that's all I see. "Our defense will be better because our offense will be on the field more" is one of those nonsensical statements that people make that has no basis in fact. The defense will be as bad as last year because it is very mediocre unit and you do not win with a mediocre defense no matter how good your offense is. You will only find ways to lose higher scoring games. Or am I missing something?
  10. Dick Jauron's Top 5: 1. RCB 2. LCB 3. Nickel back 4. SS 5. FS

  12. Well he probably tried to think about blocking the guy and was almost sorry he missed him but he was really thinking about his contract, so as he said, it didn't really matter that he missed the block because thinking about his contract during the game was more important.
  13. What's your problem? What do you want in depth reporting for a quick reply to a chat. We did talk about Lawyer and a few other things. You can kiss my ass. Sorry
  14. I sat next to Ty on a flight one day right after we signed Lawyer Malloy. I did not recognize him but he pointed at his picture in a fantasy football magazine I was reading and said "That's me." He is a very nice guy. He had good things to say about Malloy and Bledsoe back then.
  15. Twas on a Sunday afternoon The boys were in the yard With Jesus playing fullback And Moses playing guard. The angels in the bandstand Let out a mighty yell As Jesus scored a touchdown To beat the boys from hell. "Rock 'em Sock 'em Moses block 'em. Yea God"
  16. I am a bills fan, since 1961, that has lived in st louis for 15 years. You are on crack.
  17. I agree completely. I got that far and thought WTF. Where is this asswipe coming from? The dude missed a season not a career. My wife's periods are more catastrophic.
  18. Schoumann lit it up in last years training camp. Not so much when it counted. Hard to get excited about someone throwing a block in OTA's.
  19. Lee Evans was solid? Excuse me -- 3 TD's all year. 200 yards in the last five games and no TDs? For a #1 receiver that sucks. Everybody likes the guy but he completely laid down after he signed his fat contract. Frankly, he is the number 2 receiver on almost every other team in the league. Which is why we got TO -- so Lee can be #2 but we will call Lee #1 so he doesn't cry. The OLINE has five question marks. Not one or two but five. What if the Oline solidifies and the D line solidifies? That's like doubling down on a 16. Like i said 8-8 at best if they do gell and play their best. If we played the 2009 schedule last year we would have 1 or two wins if we got lucky. What games did you watch last year that makes you think this team can win 10 this year? JHChrist, even Cleveland and SF beat us. Lynch is already at 0 carries for 0 yards and 0 TDS going into week 4. Stroud plays well only when he wants to. Schobel may stay healthy, it is hard to say. Odds are he gets dinged again and misses four games and takes three more to get back to speed. Edwards sucked after the hit in Ariz. But y'all think he will be Joe Montana? Whitner is ripped all offseason long by everyone on this board. He is okay but just an average safety. McKelvin has the most talent on the Defense, he will be good but isn't yet. And the coaching staff just outright stinks. Kay Stephenson all over again. A very nice high school coach. Way over his head in the nfl. Lay big money on the under wins, 7.5 is a reach.
  20. where do you guys buy your weed? they will be extremely lucky to be 8-8 if all goes very well. they are just not that good. they are okay is a couple of areas like special teams, but have few impact players elsewhere. TO may have an impact every other game IF Trent isn't afraid to throw when TO is covered, but who else? Lynch can't bust anything big, Evans sucked last year, tight ends are miserable and a rookie won't change that this year, DBs are average, LBs and DL are below average. Coaching is below average except for April. you won't win when your best players are a punter and three kick return men.
  21. I would think that having 13 people in a car is probable cause for pulling someone over.
  22. under buf, mia and nyj. all had a very easy schedule last year and a tough one this year. over - pitt for the opposite reason.
  23. Whatever the outcome Corey's new nickname "THE FLASH"
