  1. Isn't the phrase "uneducated Jets fan" something of an oxymoron? Anyway, one of my favorite stats is that the Jets were once 6-1 and we were once 1-5, and we're now in a position to take their playoff spot.
  2. That thread is worth a read. Those morons can't understand why "no one is reporting" that the Jets have already locked up a berth. Um perhaps because it isn't true, idiots.
  3. I have too! I also learned that Mike Williams was a bust, that Trey Teague couldn't play center, that we couldn't win with white defensive ends, and that our defense was billsfanone after Dick LeBeau left.
  4. Could be because I was at both of those games!
  5. I think you can bank on Tice being gone. We're talking about a 6-0 team and a 5-1 team missing the playoffs in two straight years if that happens.
  6. Thurman and Darick Holmes did it against either Cincinnati or Washington, or maybe both. Also against the Dolphins in the '96 playoff game.
  7. I think it is 41-19... I think it is 41-19.
  8. At least he realizes that "frivolous suits" are things that are filed and not worn ... unlike Michael Irvin, Sterling Sharpe, Harold Reynolds, and a few other ESPN stylers...
  9. The guy fired Bruce DeHaven after the Tennessee game and replaced him with Ronnie Jones. That tells you all you need to know about him as a head coach.
  10. The Rams need cowbell; the Rams get cowbell.
  11. I think the position that was the hottest topic on this board during the first 6 weeks was whatever position people wanted to see Lindsay Lohan in.
  12. Shhh. There you go making sense again. This myth about us "giving up a first round pick" to get Losman always cracks me up.
  13. The best part is that when you look at the board index, you don't see a single OT post. It's all football! Not that I don't appreciate the occasional feast-for-the-eyes topic.
  14. The Trapper Keeper always worked for me.
  15. Especially when you compare those numbers to Peerless's. 38 grabs for 529 yards (13.9) and two scores. Plus three runs for 34 yards (Evans has 4 for 70),
  16. And if Evans can get 138 on Sunday he'll join Moulds in the 1,000-yard club. It's not that far-fetched an idea.
  17. We just need a little more cowbell.
  18. Here's a news story from a few days back. Incidentally, Saban's full name is Nick Lou Saban.
  19. Nick is Lou's nephew.
  20. Leigh Steinberg.
  21. Sorry if this has been brought up before, but when did he change his name? First Criqui calls him "Antonio Winfield" and then this week on Inside The NFL Cris Carter called him "Antonio Winfield." I rewound my DVR just to check, and sure enough he said "Antonio." I don't remember this happening when he was with the Bills. Of course, if it had, we'd have taken it as a sign of big-market disrespect to our Bills.
  22. We remember another Rob Carpenter more for his days at SU rather than this one's days with the Giants. Different parts of New York, you see.
  23. Nobody here played with Don Majkowski at Depew?
  24. Norm Cash.
  25. Went to college with the Garrett brothers and Dean Cain, although Dean was the only one I met (I was a freshman when he was a senior and had friends on the volleyball team -- he also played v-ball); that year, John Garrett (WR) was a senior, Jason Garrett (QB) a junior, and Judd Garrett (RB) a sophomore. John and Judd Garrett and Dean Cain all were in camp with the Bills at one time or another but none made the active roster.
