  1. Man I've heard "trap game" for the past month. First Miami was a trap game because they had a new coach and it was on the road. Then Cleveland was a trap game because THEY had a new coach. Then Cincinnati was a trap game because they were pissed after losing to New England and Kitna was playing*. Now SF is a trap game because we're overconfident and we might already be in a win-out-and-we're-in situation. I fully expect some assclown to call Pittsburgh a trap game by this time next Monday. * You know, I haven't done the research, but I bet some of the same people who were saying last week that we were in trouble because the veteran Kitna was playing posted today and said the win was misleading because Cincy was missing its starting QB.
  2. One because he was out of bounds and one because of an offsides penalty I think. Both in the end zone. I bear AW no ill will. We couldn't afford to keep him. He's making more money and our defensive backfield is better. We both won.
  3. I think a suspension is in order and a big fat fine to Jack Del Rio too for laughing about it on the sideline.
  4. Think of the impact on our secondary when Lawyer Milloy was out for the first several weeks. There's your answer.
  5. If they lose to San Francisco then we'll know they didn't deserve to make the playoffs anyway.
  6. Interesting that he would call out AW like that, but in my view he was dead on. AW was a great tackler but god he had hands of stone. If he hadn't moved on, we wouldn't have signed Vincent, and we'd be sitting here with McGee as the nickelback and Rashad Baker at FS. As for DL picks in the last 2 years, I'm not sure what he's talking about because Adams has 2, Williams has 1, Schobel has 1 and Kelsay has 1. That's it. Nothing from Denney, Bannan, Edwards et. al. But the overall improvement is shocking. Every unit has upped its pick count from 2003. In 2004, we have 19 picks: At DL, Williams has 1, Adams has 1, Kelsay has 1, and Schobel has 0 (none from the reserves) At LB, Posey has 1, Spikes has 4, Fletcher has 0 (none from the reserves) At DB, Clements has 4, McGee has 3, Milloy has 1, Vincent has 1, Baker has 1 and Reese has 1. Last year we had 10 picks: At DL, Schobel had 1 and Adams had 1. At LB, Spikes had 2. At DB, Clements had 3, McGee had 2, and Winfield had 1.
  7. I am not sure if there is even a college program right now capable of tanking against St. Louis. Mike Fartz is as good as gone. Couldn't happen to a more deserving guy.
  8. Can you imagine if they all lost? We'd control our own destiny before we even kick off against SF.
  9. Never mind, I'll answer my own question. Denver plays on Saturday and Baltimore and Jacksonville play at 1 pm on Sunday. The Jets play at 4:15. So it's conceivable that by 4:15 NEXT SUNDAY we will be faced with a win-out-and-we're-in situation. If that happens I predict we lay 60 on the Niners.
  10. Which of the above games will be over, or close to over, by the time our game kicks off at 4:15?
  11. I will be interested to see whether our team will ever get credit from some people for winning a game. Apparently we have averaged 37 ppg for the last five games only because the other team let us.
  12. Or if two of the above three lose one and the Jets lose both, and we win both, we're in.
  13. Um... the way he played at the beginning of the season? Not really.
  14. When you throw for more touchdowns and fewer interceptions, and are sacked less, than the opposing quarterback, you've done a pretty damn good job. St. Louis: Bledsoe 3/1/1; Bulger 2/3/6 Seattle: Bledsoe 1/3/1; Hasselbeck 1/1/2 Miami: Bledsoe 4/0/3; Feeley 3/5/6 Cleveland: Bledsoe 1/1/1; McCown/Garcia 1/2/8 Cincinnati: Bledsoe 1/0/2; Kitna 1/2/3 Total -- Bledsoe: 10 TDs, 5 INTs, 8 sacks Opponents: 8 TDs, 13 INTs, 25 sacks Bledsoe has a 2/1 TD/INT ratio and fewer than two sacks a game in this stretch. His opponents have a .6/1 TD/INT ratio and five sacks a game. That Bledsoe, he's fuggin killing us. [/sarcasm]
  15. The most tiresome thing is people who can't enjoy a five-game winning streak.
  16. As for me, I look forward to the 30 detailed Donahoe-defending posts following this one from people who don't recognize sarcasm when they see it.
  17. My favorites were photos 31 and 32 where everyone is gone except the Bills fans!!!
  18. You talking to me? I never wanted him fired, although I probably did say a few choice words about his lineage at one point or another.
  19. Where are those assclowns from Cincy who came on here to talk stevestojan last week? Did I miss some posts where they came back and admitted we kicked the hell out of them?
  20. Give it up, Dee. This is getting tiresome.
  21. I'll be rooting for what I always root for in these games: as many broken bones as possible. If that makes me a bad person, I can live with that.
  22. *and* Prioleau...
  23. Is that you, Wade?
  24. Jax just wants it more. Christ if I was a Packer fan I'd be embarrassed by this stevestojantty effort.
  25. We only need them to lose one. But we could have taken care of that one on opening day.
