Blame? It's just an observation about variance. 96% is a couple standard deviations above expected.

Just an example of some of the negative variance that we have to overcome. It's one of those things that tends to normalize over a larger sample size but just like our luck on fumbled balls it's been going against us all season. Even though it was Easton Stick and not Patrick Mahomes I didn't feel remotely comfortable at the end of this game because I think Dicker would have nailed it from 67 somehow. But wouldn't it be awesome if this is where the worm turns?

Week 16, Bills v. WVs - GAME BALLS
SageAgainstTheMachine replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
Another game where Josh wasn't forced to CARRY the team, but the 11 yard completion in a tight window to Stef and 3rd and 9, then the heave under pressure to Shakir won that contest. Contrary to what the talking heads say he actually has a knack for game winning drives, it's just that someone on the defense actually closed it out this time. -
Josh Allen Needs Way More Pass Attempts
SageAgainstTheMachine replied to BillsFan130's topic in The Stadium Wall
We're 4-1 in the Joe Brady era and the offense was excellent in the one loss. Let the man do his thing. Biggest thing right now is that the OL looks excellent in run protection and poor in pass protection. Josh will still get his opportunities to win games with his arm when it counts. He did that today. -

The last two weeks show just how important winning the division is. We need to be playing home games. -
These are the good old days
SageAgainstTheMachine replied to Joe Ferguson forever's topic in The Stadium Wall
They've shown they can win or lose against all 31 teams in the NFL. It's a weird feeling where I'd believe you if you told me we'd go on a run where we win the SB with each game being a blowout and I'd also believe you if you told me we ended up 9-8 and missing out on the playoffs entirely. Been entertaining if nothing else. -

MNF game thread: Philadelphia at Seattle
SageAgainstTheMachine replied to chongli's topic in The Stadium Wall
I mean it's not like they just get the ball at the 1 yd line. He's having a really good season. -
Yeah Josh flops when he gets shoved because he wants to win. And the keyboard warrior questioning his masculinity would suffer broken ribs if an NFL defender casually bumped into him.

Wait, who exactly gets to be his FWB now??

Do you wonder if the league is fixed?
SageAgainstTheMachine replied to The Red King's topic in The Stadium Wall
Aren’t we more or less saying the same thing? I have no doubt there have been individual bad faith actors. Refs, coaches, players, you name it. But some people talk about it like it’s the other thing - the league office or some proxy handing down orders. -
Dallas @ Buffalo Postgame Thread

Had to check it out. It gets better in the actual post when the guy says he would give Dak an uppercut if he saw him. -
Lawrence is an above average starter and he's made some steps forward this season but he's still not what you expect a 1st overall pick to look like in Year 3.

“They’re not booing, sir, they’re saying Duuu-val, Duuu-val.” ”Are you saying boo or Duvall?” ”Booooo” Hans Moleman: “I was saying Duvall.”

Go Ravens. Send the Jaguars into the 8-6 fracas.

McDermott’s Defense against #1 Offense? Discuss
SageAgainstTheMachine replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall
The defense played like they'd just attended a religious revival of some sort. Full berserker. I don't even mind the personal fouls.
