  1. I'm amazed that Calvin Johnson ever finishes a game with fewer than 2 TDs.
  2. Oh wow, I didn't realize that Cleveland had never been to the big show either. That combined with losing the franchise for a few years and the utter lack of talent since they returned probably makes them the most pitiful of the bunch.
  3. It's pretty much a three way tie. The Bills' share is defined by a tragicomic penchant for heartbreaking losses. The Browns' share is defined by a sheer lack of talented personnel on the field. The Lions' share is defined by total irrelevance (never even been to the Superbowl). No matter how you slice it though, it's just bad times all around. Not that he's getting help, but Flynn is a statue back there. You simply can't afford to get sacked at that rate.
  4. The Lions could be up by 20 or 30 right now.
  5. I haven't seen too many defensive performances against the run worse than this. And I've been watching the Bills these last 15 years. Also, I traded Reggie Bush for Ray Rice before Week 1. Ugh.
  6. I'm thankful for Kiko Alonso, the first playmaker at the LB position for the Bills since London Fletcher.
  7. It's a Dorin Dickerson sighting! The Packers are playing a Buffalo Bills circa 2009 type game.
  8. I'm beginning to think that Stafford is severely overrated, and that it's mostly Calvin Johnson's doing that the Detroit offense can move the ball. Oh, and Flynn looks really bad.
  9. I want the Jets to beat the Dolphins. Based on how Geno has played, the Jets have a much poorer chance of reaching 9-7 even if they win.
  10. I truly never believed that people were so serious about the conspiracy. It's as if people are ignorant to their own biases.
  11. Is the fix still in for the Patriots?
  12. According to Football Outsiders, Geno is the worst QB in the league this year out of the 43 that qualify with enough snaps. EJ is 28th.
  13. This Woodyard dude is having a terrible game.
  14. The Pats* are like the bad guy in a horror movie. You gotta make sure they're !@#$ing dead.
  15. Because I like rooting for a team on Sundays, and it doesn't seem any less appealing than turning around and rooting for the Browns.
  16. I know this is an unpopular opinion, but I'd still root for the team if they moved to Toronto. It would certainly make me sad, but I haven't lived in Buffalo for seven years now and I watch all the games on TV. Plus I love the NFL, and it makes it so much better to have a rooting interest.
  17. The version of the Jets we've seen the last two weeks couldn't beat anybody.
  18. If anything happens to Ralph over, say, the next decade then we'll know who was behind it.
  19. I think that the "superstar effect" is more believable than the thought of Goodell and his cronies passing down marching orders to favor certain teams.
  20. That's not a study of the effect of home field advantage on officiating. It's a study of the effect of home field advantage. 6.26 flags against road teams vs. 6.07 flags against home teams...couldn't it be that crowd noise accounts for the .19 difference? Noise-related false starts, delays of game and various other procedural penalties do happen. Personally the whole "refs are on the take" thing is overblown.
  21. The Onion tried a sports show on Comedy Central a couple years ago. It was hilarious, but flopped in terms of ratings and got canceled quickly.
  22. Oh, I know that, but some people would have you believe that RWS is rocking at full capacity when the team is in the mire, as if the fans are impermeable to the losing. It's just not true. I WILL say, however, that the start of each season is treated with the same optimism regardless of everything. Opening day is really something else in Orchard Park.
  23. We've had our fair share of blackout games too, and ones where Ralph had purchase the remaining tickets. The passionate fans are truly great, but I don't think our football culture is on par with the Packers honestly.
  24. What are you talking about? Scott Chandler is easily the Bills' best tight end since Jay Riemersma! Wait...I might see your point.
  25. He's also fumbled three times, just to be fair. But I agree that he's largely avoided the "big mistake". Compare to Geno Smith who's thrown 16 interceptions and fumbled 8 times.
