  1. This is a useless debate. Until we get a franchise long snapper, it doesn't matter who's back there booting it.
  2. It's not Ryan Fitzpatrick's fault that teams can't find a better QB than friggin' Ryan Fitzpatrick.
  3. It's a good point on not judging players too early, because A. Williams was a real stinker at CB. Still, I'd take an average starting QB over an above average strong safety at this point.
  4. A great offensive line can be like a great bullpen in baseball.
  5. Welcome to the offseason at TBD (and to be fair, every NFL message board). I've come to stick around for the playoffs and then duck out 'til the draft. Sadly, a handful of posters really do their homework on prospects, but you have to wade through 100 other guys who saw a QB throw a tight spiral once in the Meineke Car Care Bowl and just know he's the next big thing.
  6. How exactly is it unreal? You can play the hindsight game with every team for every draft.
  7. 73.0 QB rating (for reference, EJ had a 77.7 rating). Schaub was looking a lot like Jake Delhomme toward the end.
  8. I think if the Patriots hired Norv Turner as the guy who fetches coffee for the assistant tight ends coach, they'd somehow look mediocre. Bad juju.
  9. I disagree. Aside from Rodgers, the NFC North is a pretty soft division. The Lions and Vikings will be led by first year coaches and the Bears just can't play defense. The Dolphins look ready for a step backward. Jeff Tuel was one idiotic play away from beating the Chefs. Yeah, I see 3 or 4 pretty sure fire losses, but it doesn't look any more difficult than this year.
  10. When a middling tight end leads the team in receptions and yards, the receiving corps failed.
  11. It would be nice if franchises showed more patience, frankly. Hell, it would be nice if PEOPLE showed more patience. I'm pretty amazed at how many fans want to jettison both EJ and Marrone after their rookie campaigns, as if the next two guys we throw into the frying pan would do any better than 6-10. And yes, I realize that it's difficult to preach patience when it's been 14 years since a playoff appearance, but the current GM, head coach and starting QB are not responsible for those 14 seasons. They are responsible for exactly 1 season.
  12. Still, I'm entertained at the thought of Steelers fans' mouths agape when Succop shanked that kick.
  13. Hey, but the 87 wins were fun! Well, some of them.
  14. Belichick finished 5-11 in his first season as Patriots head coach. So...
  15. Nobody should feel "ashamed" over something they can't control. What a waste of time and emotional energy that would be.
  16. It's a double-edged sword for EJ. If he was, say, a 4th rounder instead of a 1st rounder, he wouldn't get dogged so much for the inconsistent performances. He also wouldn't be the assumed starter for next season.
  17. Great to see KW on that list. He's made it to the Pro Bowl other years, but only as an alternate I believe.
  18. We'd be down to our third stringer by Week 2. How I wish Fitz had never been shoe-horned into a starting role. He's an ideal backup.
  19. Any detriment to an aerial attack is in the Bills' favor.
  20. I think we should get a new head coach after every incomplete pass. Seriously, sections of this fan base are ridiculous. Do people REALLY think that increased impatience will yield quicker results?
  21. That would be such a hot mess. If you think Buffalo is an undesirable location for an NFL player... Not to mention, there would be like 5,000 fans total at those home games if the franchise wasn't immediately championship-caliber. They have their own football. Right, but when you expand, you don't increase the number of subpar starters per team. You just decrease the value of "par".
  22. I think this is 100% sincere. They're great players in different ways, but I think KW would have been known as a better player than Vince Wilfork if you had swapped the two.
  23. I've heard of attempted eye-gouging at the bottom of those piles. It just so happens that Woods' action was less covert. Still, a pretty dumb mistake.
