  1. BLASPHAMY!!!!! Seinfeld is TIMELESS...as is The Office.
  2. All those star players are the same ones who have been there 2 years in a row. Yet they have only 3 wins total in 2 seasons against teams with a winning record and barely made the playoffs two years in a row. They beat up on bad teams and lose to good ones. And their roster is now worse as they added very little and lost a lot on defense. So not seeing how they get “better” with a worse roster when they have already been a middling team 2 straight seasons. And the AFC and AFCE are all tougher this year than the past 2 years.
  3. I think it’s more a result of the unknown than anything. We didn’t make any significant additions to the defense while moving on from 4 starters in both safeties, White, and Floyd. Now add in the loss of Milano, and filling in these spots with low cost vets and youth has people concerned how well it will work. I think the defense has the potential to still be good, but it’s more about staying healthy for me as I don’t think we are as deep as last year and losing Milano early was a blow as Bernard is also undersized and got hurt in his first year starting. So fingers crossed Bernard doesn’t go down while Milano is still out.
  4. Huh? Sorry, no disrespect, but this was not at all the case. Jimmy G has not looked good at all in SF. He was a statue who had horrible pocket presence and terrible vision. They won a playoff game (where weather was not a reason) because they ran the ball like 98% of the snaps to avoid Jimmy throwing it. Not even Niners fans liked Jimmy G. Purdy immediately improved the offense by a mile when he came in for Jimmy because he could actually use his legs to by time, avoid pressure, and see the field better. Even when Jimmy got paid after starting 5-0 over his first 5 games there, his stats were meh. Niner fans call him “Pornstar Jimmy” because he was more interested in banging pornstars than working on his craft. Sorry, there was no stretch of Jimmy G’s career in SF where he looked “pretty darn good”, let alone remotely as good as Purdy has been. That offense went from meh to elite switching from Jimmy to Purdy and it’s exactly why he lost his job to Purdy.
  5. I was pretty surprised that they signed him too and more surprised he went there with two guys entrenched at top and a deep run game that’s gonna get a lot of carries too. But the trenches are a mess in Miami, and it was already why they can’t beat good teams before they got even worse.
  6. My wife is a die hard Niners fan, and she likes the Bills, and she absolutely hates Rodgers lol. Our house is gonna be lit and AMPED UP for this game so much it might make wife go into labor a few weeks early 😂
  7. While you still gotta respect Miami, I personally am less concerned about them this year. With a better roster the past 2 seasons than they have this year, Miami went on a late season skid to have to sneak in playoffs on final week of season. They have only 2 wins in 2 seasons to teams over .500 and one was a pretender team in Dallas, and the other was against us week 3 in 2022 under extreme heat conditions where at one point we had something like 15 players out from injuries or heat issues. Tommy Doyle had to play the final 5 snaps of the game on a torn ACL because we only had 4 offensive lineman and it’s why they couldn’t get set 1 second sooner for the game winning FG that caused Dorsey to blow up in the booth. Now Miami has lost their entire front 7 essentially without any major impact additions to the team this year. Add in a much tougher AFC with the return of Burrow, Rodger’s, Richardson, etc to go with all that already established good teams, and I think Miami has a good shot to miss the playoffs. Still gotta respect the offensive potential of course, but it hasn’t helped them the past 2 years to do much other than beat up on and rack up stats against bad teams then lose to good ones.
  8. As with any anonymous source article you gotta take it with a grain of salt. But…it doesn’t take a leap of the imagination to think there aren’t any issues with Rodger’s and the team there given how he has handled himself this offseason. I can easily see some guys having an issue or not respecting how he has carried himself this offseason. I still think they are our biggest threat. I hope the Niners smash them week 1 and demoralize the team some. If they open with a bad loss it will magnify any negative energy that may be present around Rodger’s offseason and commitment. And then you just hope the wheels keep coming off from there. But again, roster is so good that I still have to give them the nod as our biggest threat over Miami until I see otherwise on the field.
  9. Upon further review that’s not an accurate depth chart. Don’t mean that argumentative, but it still has Milano and guys who were cut on it. We will see who starts week 1. And honestly, like I said previously, this season, especially early, it’s going to be less about “starters” and more about “packages”. Hollins is going to play regardless, he’s an excellent blocker and they incorporate that into the offense. For me personally, all I really care about is we see Keon making plays when called upon, I don’t feel like his role must be huge out the gate.
  10. All good, I wouldn’t shoot the messenger We will see week 1 how it plays out.
  11. I dont disagree, but at the same time they have yo-yo'd in the past when not having great options at QB, but if they are winning they wont switch.
  12. Not a surprise, but I bet it’s a short leash
  13. And they were backups longer than they should have been too (well not Darnold)
  14. Yeah plus Mitch and Josh are tight too. I think he is there as insurance with Mitch recovering, but if something happened to Allen I am sure they will turn to Mitch first. Now totally possible Mitch craps the bed if he does have to play, and then maybe they switch it up and give White a shot. But other than that, I’m guessing he will remain as a 3rd option and on the PS this season at least.
  15. Well I would even though I don't know for sure it would need to be Anderseen that needs to go. That is how much I am not looking forward to watching MVS drop balls all season. And I do like Noah Brown and kind of thought he would be a target of the Bills previously.
  16. This for me is a surprise move. I was really impressed by him both the first 2 preseason games and he reportedly did well in camp as well. I watched the All-22 and he was impressive those 2 games (did not watch it on the final preseason game). I guess there is talk of some injury related to it, but does anyone know if there is a confirmed injury? I guess that would make more sense if so, but I hope he is either brought back after other maneuvers or at least makes it onto the PS.
  17. Wouldn't a better question be about MVS? I would love to see us bring in Noah Brown, even if it meant it resulted in cutting MVS. And if they insist on keeping MVS if they brought in Brown, I am sure they can find a cut somewhere else if they want to keep Anderseen on the 53 given our lack of depth at LB.
  18. I am over this conversation. You misunderstood what I wrote, and you have doubled, tripled, and quadrupled down insisting to changing the topic until you find a way that you were somehow not wrong rather than just realize you misunderstood the context of the post you replied to and made some incorrect comments as a result. All this has done is hijack a thread and make it about Diggs when my post was about some of the caveats between last year and this year in terms of Brady, and whether you like it or not, Diggs was highly inefficient with his targets last year in his final 10 games. This kind of dialogue is what I can't stand about this board and is what has me contemplating leaving for good as it has been at an all time high this offseason. This never ending persistence to be right by manipulating the conversation to be something else to try and find a way to make an initial bad take, misunderstanding, etc correct. But hey, if you want to still disagree that a $26M WR1 averaging 8.9 ypc, 42 per game, on 8 targets per game over a 10 game stretch where almost every game was a must win, including 2 that were in the playoffs, is not inefficient, then fine. We have very different definitions of inefficiencies then and there is no reason to discuss it further.
  19. Great story, glad he made the team!
  20. It was 2022, we lost 3 games and by a total of I believe 9 points. It was a weird year, so close to undefeated season, yet every week felt so hard to win.
  21. I don't disagree that Allen coming off the 2021 game had a different level of respect. The issue was that now expectations were that it was Allen and the Bills time, that they were the better team and got screwed by a coin toss. This was only furthered by the fact the Bengals shut down the Chiefs offense to hold them to only 3 points in the 2nd half of the AFCCG to upset them. Coming into 2022 the Bills were the sexy choice for the SB. Many people felt Bills would have won the SB in 2021 had they advanced past KC. Then 2022 was not the season people expected from the Bills or Allen. We won a lot of games still, but it felt hard at times. Bills reporters were asking Allen in post game interviews after wins if he believed this was a championship offense. Bills 3 losses were by a total of 8 or 9 points. We were a handful of points from being undefeated that season, but everything seemed hard and the offense had a lull midseason too. Then we get a home playoff game and got embarrassed at home. Enter 2023...many people are now giving 2022 more of a pass based on the trauma the team and city went through in 2022. Again expectations are high for Allen and the Bills. He opens the season with a disaster of a game and a loss to Zack Wilson. We are 5-5 and have to fire our OC. The media and analyst are starting to turn on him more again. Brady comes in, the team starts winning, and Allen starts turning heads as the Bills go on a late season run, but he still has his skeptics. We finally get KC at home and we again come up short. So I don't think the bias is all in the Bills fans head per se, I think there is a real bias around Allen that the media and pundits want to stick to more than they want to talk about how good he is and I think it shows up in the MVP voting too. He is not the only one, guys like Hurts and Lamar have faced too in their careers as well.
  22. I get your point to the other poster here, but I also do think it's somewhat of a fair response in an article naming the 5 most overrated players for that poster to share who they think is overrated. And when doing so, its going to be about an accomplished player because no one is making overrated lists about guys who are not highly regarded. And with all Jackson's regular season accomplishments, I don't think its unfair to still see him a bit overrated given his lack of postseason success, which IMHO is a better barometer in these discussions. Postseason is as close as they can get to a more apples to apples comparison as the quality of opponents is more even than say a regular season where one team can face an overall easier schedule than another that can help an individuals stat output. But to be fair, all these overrated conversations are all splitting hairs anyway...guys like Allen, Lamar, Burrow, and Hebert are all very good to elite QB's stuck playing in the Mahomes/Reid era much like we saw with the Bill/Brady era. All of them will have "overrated" critics until they break through and hoist their own SB Trophy (if ever).
