  1. Teams that gave the Bills fits last year all had a good to great pass rush. Including Jacksonville where Allen v Allen went to Allen. Let's hope Kromer improves both the run blocking and pass blocking. I don't care how good you are, if your OLINE is a sieve, it ain't happening.
  2. Understand but the hidden criteria is you both have to win your division in your conference to play each other a lot to form the rivalry. I thought about Brady-Big Ben, but it never rose to the level that Brady-Manning did. Brady-Ben certainly had big games, but it still was second tier to Brady-Manning. Brees and Rodgers never did either, for whatever reason. Ryan doesn't belong on the list as Atlanta largely underperformed for his talent level. Rivers-Manning and Rivers-Brady never rose to that level either. Cross conference match ups don't happen enough to generate true rivalries. I googled this answer: "Despite playing a combined 37 seasons of pro football, including a combined 31 postseason appearances, Rodgers and Brady have faced each other only three times as starting quarterbacks." Pretty amazing. and then this: "Manning and Brady faced off 17 times in this great rivalry that dates back to 2001. The last meeting occurred on Jan. 24, 2016 in the AFC Championship Game which resulted in a 20-18 win for Manning and the Broncos en route to a Super Bowl 50 victory." and then this "Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers and Drew Brees of the New Orleans Saints have played against each other as starters three times. The Packers won two of those three games, with both of those contests being played at Lambeau Field."
  3. My guess is no. During the Brady-Manning era, there were not that many elite QBs. The AFC is awash in very good-great QBs. Any combo of the following could emerge ... Allen Mahomes Watson Herbert Jackson Carr Burrows .. as they are all young, just getting going now and QBs can play into their 40s.
  4. Mahomes too. If he chose to play that way. He could have a lot more rushing TDs if he wanted them.
  5. The transitive property. The great Von gets to work with the great Donald. What he learns he can pass on to Oliver. So in effect Oliver benefits from what Von learned by working with Donald.
  6. Tone deaf x 4.. Impressive.
  7. Amari Cooper has an ankle owie.
  8. To quote Wimpy: "I'll gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today". No respected agent would sign up for this. Contracts are there for a reason.
  9. Cough
  10. NFL - Pete Carroll retired after season. Heard muttering something about Locke. - AFC West does not get 3 playoff spots after cannibalizes themselves - Jax aka Clowntown sneaks into the playoffs - King Henry gets 2k yards and doesn’t make playoffs. BUFFALO - Crowder gets 1k from the slot - Tre starts season on PuP - Lawson is cut and signed to practice squad - Bills DL ends season north of 50 sacks.
  11. "I like that extra step throw for your fitbit"... OC digging on QB1
  12. Murray making more than Mahommes is a crime against humanity. and. somewhere in the offices of the Ravens was heard a loud WTF.
  13. The main reason I could see him doing it (besides being a team first guy), is that he would get a lump sum payment vice 17 paychecks. He might need to settle some bills... or for tax purposes...
  14. It tolls the contract. That is why I am in favor of a 16 game suspension allowing him to play one game.
  15. When tackled by Baker Mayfield playing in the secondary
  16. I can't count the times I have watched this. But whenever I need a pick me up, watching this does that. I haven't been this stoked for a Bills season since 1992... I love the line " ... and he just daggers you ..."
  17. I have no problem with the premise: How many QBs can you name that can do all of this in any game: - rush for TD - pass for TD - receive a TD - leap a defender - stiff arm a DL into ground - run over a safety - rush for 100 yards - pass for 300 yards - evade a pass rusher who has him dead to rights - throw late across the middle on the run
  18. I thought the reason the Ravens traded him was they had just given Stanley the big contract to play LT and Orlando Brown wanted to play and be paid like a LT. That Stanley contract has been a loser so far for the Ravens as he has missed the most of two seasons since then. Staley is expected to be fully healthy this year.
  19. This comes as no surprise. Watson will be cheered at home and booed on the road. At least for a few seasons before some other cause celebre replaces him.
  20. Yeah he made a lot of splash play interceptions, but he was also burned and when he was burned, it was a full on charring...
  21. Browns vs Panthers in Week 1 just got a whole lot more interesting..
  22. So how bad to do want out of the mistake by the lake? Baker: I'll take a 20% pay cut.. I don't need that 3.5M this year.
  23. Buyer beware. The 300's in the upper deck corners are full of opposing fans. Views are good, company, not so much. Unless of course the Bills are curb stomping the opponent. I watched that Eagles debacle from there a few years back and it was a miserable game on the field, miserable weather (wind was howling so loud you could not hear in stadium game play calling) and miserable Eagles fans who were chanting E-A-G-L-E-S all damn game..
  24. I love the schedule this year. Almost all of the games are compelling. Even the AFC East games. This is the best slate of games since the K-gun era. There won't be any questions of "yea but who did they play"?
