Week 8 - Bills at Seahawks Game Week Thread
WhitewalkerInPhilly replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
I was shocked today when I looked up NFL passing leaders and saw Geno Smith at the top of the list. I know bye weeks can mess with things but that is shockingly good -
Keon Coleman 5th In Rookie Receiving Yards
WhitewalkerInPhilly replied to iwishitwerecolder's topic in The Stadium Wall
I certainly think he helps. The change doesn't come in a vacuum. Teams were coming out of Cover 2 to sit in routes and as we saw Keon can be deadly on slants. If they want to single up Coop, good for them. -
Same. I'm glad Beane has some time to evaluate but he's used the analogy of a basketball team: it's great to have big guys, but you need at least one person who can distribute Cooper, Coleman, Shakir, Kincaid and Cook is a base I feel better about considering the start of the year.

Keon Coleman is a legitimately funny human being. Marshawn Lynch has been doing TV stuff (see his episode of Murderville) and I can easily see Keon in that -

Wow. Ok. I had bit into that narrative as well. I still think Cooper *helps*, if for making coordinators spend time on his film and being a vet mentor but I hadn't realized that Coop wasn't on the field for those plays. If anything Keon opened up Coop on that TD! -
If someone told me back in March/April that we'd have that effective swap, would front load a cap hit of $4M and be free in clear in 2025 I would have been a lot calmer on draft night

I wonder if Brandon Beane gets headlines like this and goes "not my problem anymore" I wanted the Bills to hold onto him this year. My argument was that however we wanted to improve it would be better with Diggs than no Diggs and less cap space. And believe me I was thinking about that after the Ravens and Texans. Right now? Looking at just how calm Cooper is and how jovial Keon is, seeing them both coming alive and knowing that because of the deal the Bills are in the black on cap space and have an extra 2nd? Yeah, this seems worth it

Schefter: Metcalf considered “week to week”
WhitewalkerInPhilly replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'll take it. I mean I suppose there's a chance they wheel him out but anyway but if it gives whoever we stick on him an extra step then hey -
Keon Coleman 5th In Rookie Receiving Yards

It's still early. Keenan Allen has never been a burner but has been highly productive in his career. But as a high caliber #2? I think there's good odds on that. I saw someone point out that Peerless Price was a #2, but with Moulds they formed the WR of the Drought era. Tell me anyone here wouldn't take that combo on their prime. -
(edited)8 games in, 4.5-game division lead…

It's more a mark of how weak the division is than excellence by the Bills but hell I'll take it. I hope to relish the moment when the dream dies for Fin and Jets fans -

I just saw the video. The dude is going to get press covered hard until the bulks up -
I won't say "better" but I think that I can make a convincing case that he should be our 1st and 2nd down back: We saw teams plug the front to stop Cook who thrives when he has wiggle room. David has more of a power attack. Cook I see as a poor man's CMC (which right now is better than actual CMC) and Samuel has never looked right so why not use him as a WR/RB hybrid?

I think the latest ones are tongue in cheek because we are quite happy with his progress

Some say Keon Coleman is still running for 150 yards

I wanted Franklin. Today Beane showed why he is far better at talent evaluation than I am.
