  1. given our luck, also the number of running backs who get injured.
  2. i mostly agree with everything. i'm hoping that duke wins the start over seacry, since seacry isn't great in coverage. i also don't know if i would say the o-line did well. there were a lot of mistakes which didn't help with the batted passes. ej wasn't perfect, but that didn't help.
  3. yeah. though, as i seemed to remember, that work out pretty well for big ben in his second season
  4. honestly, i am more worried about the o-line than ej right now.henderson is coming along, other than that one big whiff that led to a batted pass, but i'm still not happy with pears, urbik of c. williams.
  5. i need to ask, did anyone else like what they saw from duke williams?
  6. Which is why I was curious as to why they pulled him so early. Eli, a more established vet and two time Super Bowl winner stayed in for three. For those worried about EJ's performance on the first two drives, I would like to take a look at Manning's against our starting defense: a three and out, followed by a strip sack fumble on the third play. EJ's arm strength looked fine. I do think he's at least partly to blame for missing the Sammy bomb, but Mike Williams really ought to have had that catch in the end zone, and that's usually what he's good at. We have a month to go folks.
  7. I was wondering that. I didn't see the who lead us in plucky battles against the Bengals and Dolphins. The others had their ups and downs, but he just looked bad.
  8. I'm not sure about that. Glenn is pretty damn good. That said, Henderson has always been hugely talented. I am entirely ok with them on the edges.
  9. Yeah, this had been my question. Pears has looked OK, but Henderson has looked really, really good facing off against some of the best DE's in the game (Mario and JPP) I would love to see him at RT.
  10. Who? I can't hear you over the sound of the Giants fans cheering about our burned 3rd string CBs
  11. Ok,I feel a bit better then. If Gilmore,McKelvin didn't start and Robey, Graham and Cockrell got pulled early I'm feeling a great deal better
  12. OK, is anyone else terrified on our depth on CB...anywhere Butler or lower?
  13. Yeah...I know Carpenter doesn't have the leg to do the touchbacks, but he is rock solid on field goals.
  14. Yeah. I mean, I'm happy to see him play, since he has been the most exciting player to watch for a while. I know I am pulling for Mike Williams on the outside, but Woods has looked incredibly sharp so far.
  15. OK, is Robert Woods looking like a rock star to everybody else?
  16. As much as I am to wax poetic, Duke Williams has been there to clean up on many plays and has provided decent coverage. He is really looking like a quintessential Strong Safety
  17. Yeah, I'm liking Duke Williams as SS
  18. Impressions thus far: First string defense looks amazing. EJ has a lot to work on, but Mi. Williams should have had a touchdown catch. Run game looks solid, and I see Bryce Brown climbing the depth chart. Run game...when Spikes isn't out there, meh.
  19. Annnnnd Thad is going to be third string
  20. *Smacks forehead* OK, I really should have thought of that. Thanks Jay, you've set me on a good trail. And stadium sections that you would recommend?
  21. I have heard this a great deal. The man has enormous physical talent. From what I can tell, the only reason he fell so far were off the field issues. So far, he seems to be "getting it" like Da'Rick never did. Time will tell of course, but I would love to see him in the right side when they get to 2nd and 3rd teamers. As I've been thinking about it, I would love to see him supplant Pears while Kujo gets brought along. Kujo is the prototypical "road grader", Glenn is an above average LT, and if Henderson can be a good swing to spell those two out...
  22. I saw Guardians of the Galaxy on Thursday and laughed my ass off through most of it, despite the fact that...well, apparently 3D doesn't work on me. The writing is solid for a comedy, and the action is fun. If you aren't looking for anything serious or heavy, it's a good time. I *WILL* be seeing the new Sin City, and am interested in the November Man and Expendables 3.
  23. A little while ago, I moved to South NJ for work. Sadly, moving around has put me out of Bills territory for the past couple of years, and while I've found a few places that help with my fix (Go Downtown Philadelphia Buffalo Bills Backers!) I haven't been to a live Bills game in over a decade. At this point, sadly, my best option for seeing a live Bills game is looking like trucking up to the Meadowlands, which really isn't too bad of a hike, and I'm seeing cheap seats for about $50, so this is looking like a legit option. That said, I am entirely open to hearing about the best ways to get there, tailgate safely to avoid the compounding Major League Sports and New York overpricing, and not get myself thrown off a balcony by Jets fans. Since there's still time, I'm hoping to get a decent plan in place before I shoot myself in the foot.
