  1. This is my personal choice for HC. Granted, the offense needs work, but that can be done by hiring an OC more competent than Hacket...which really isn't saying much is it? Jim Schwartz has won over the guys that he was supposed to coach. Kyle Williams, the veteran leader and the heart and soul of our defense, has used words to the effect of "Chain him to his car if you have to, don't let him leave." Our D is what is going to lead this team. Try to convince me of anything otherwise. They already buy into Schwartz completely. I do worry, a little, about his stint, and that he may be a better coordinator than head coach, but to me, any decision at head coach has to include Schwartz in the picture
  2. Sounds like we know where A. Williams falls. He'd probably be happy with Schwartz as HC. The defense seemed to love him.
  3. First question to all new HC candidates: what would you have us do at QB.
  4. This. He earned himself a third season, but there's no way anyone on the offense shouldn't have been on notice after that abysmal wasting of a top 5 defense.
  5. Yeah, I've been reading his stuff since preseason. His articles are interesting, the analysis is pretty good and I like his writing. Miles, lightyear ahead of Bucky Gleason.
  6. Well, I would have liked him to stay if we wanted to get a project QB a la Andy Dalton in the second round. Fortunately, he has his player option, so I hope there isn't any guaranteed cash to tie things up.
  7. Which is something Glennon can't do.
  8. I could see them releasing him, I'm just more wary of the odds that both STL cuts him, and we manage to sign him. Those numbers you mentioned do sound about right, and we would be giving him weapons that STL never did. Not if we cut him within 3 days of the league year.
  9. My one concern here is that Bradford isn't a FA yet. Unless the Rams trade him, we don't get him and that's a lot of contract to eat.
  10. I'm thrilled. I rarely get to watch a game at home where I live. The last one was the TNF game, and I've done my best to erase that from my memory
  11. +1. The man has a sense of humor. Carry on Q!
  12. I do kind of find Ortons reputation as a hard drinking, chewing QB (who smokes victory cigars) kind of funny. It makes me think of a 20's Era leatherhead
  13. I'm...sticking with a big "who cares? " Yeah it's not good for you, but he's a grown man.
  14. I remember watching his two big catches and going "who the hell is that?!?" No one in the bar with me recognized him. Those were two really great catches and I hope we use him more.
  15. This was my problem too. Had Marrone been forced to challenge (presumably after watching the replay and saying "are you f'n kidding me?") And the refs wouldn't overturn it that would be one thing. Reversing a call on the field that the replay expert thought was cut and dry... It wouldn't annoy me as much if we didn't hear so much about JF's one decent drive
  16. Whitner? Yeah he's getting a chorus of boos. Pettine...I don't think any of us hates him and I think most of us are satisfied with Schwartz
  17. I don't like the idea of disqualifying everyone, especially since you might wind up in a really competitive division. I do think, as some have suggested, that we add one more Wild Card team and eliminating the bye week for the #2 seed. That would eliminate teams just coasting at #2 when there is something to play for, would give the best Wild Card team a favorable match-up and would make the league a **** ton more money.
  18. I'm shocked that people think Foles is going to be traded. Yes, he's had a bit of a down year, but that's part of the bumps in the road that make a young QB grow. No one, not even Foles, thought that he was going to replicate his TD:INT ratio from last year, and that was before they let Desean Jackson go. What I keep being reminded of on Philly radio is that with Foles, their only losses were against the 49ers and the Cardinals, both played on the road in the west coast, with each game coming down the the wire. Meanwhile, Sanchez came in to finish off Foles job against the Texans, beat up on two bad teams (Titans and a hobbled Cam Newton) and got steamrolled by Packers. Foles is the guy when he comes back from injury.
  19. Ehh, typical junk programming.
  20. Hughes, especially if Bryce Brown is looking like a legit option.
  21. Good point. Does anyone have the numbers on Orton's screen accuracy? I don't remember seeing Sammy doing a lot of them so I would love to see him getting in on some Sunday.

  23. I would note that that's from last year, right around the time that EJ roasted them.
  24. That is the reason. NE had trouble but they also have really bad WRs to take advantage. The Jets do have a great Run D as well as us. If it comes to airing it out I like where we stand.
