  1. richardson taking the starting role would be my preference as well. i think he probably will sometime this season, but he'll likely need some more time. i had intended to mean the week 1 starters against chi. i'm sorry, i ought to have been more specific.
  2. sounds like they may have found their starting o-line lineup.
  3. personally, him throwing someone the finger doesn't speak a ton to whether or not he can be a sucessful nfl qb. that said, the fact that he had a dreadful outing in preseason, with an equally bad veteran ahead of him means that people ought to remember that there is a learning curve for most rookie qb's. everyone said that he had potential, but would likely need time to work on mechanics, get used to the speed of the game. so bashers on both sides on the ej/jf debate, please remember that.
  4. good question. i'd heard that glenn looked amazing, but nothing on henderson. i guess when it comes to the o-line, not hearing about a huge problem is a good sign.
  5. It's good to have him back. Now let's see how Henderson does. Wow...I know we said it might be a possibility, but if we see it more than once, I think Schwartz would have been very unhappy with our offerings at safety #2. Still, we have the depth for it, and I could see Graham taking Byrd's place.
  6. Whoo! I'm thrilled to see Glenn back in team drills. That gives him a few weeks to get back up to speed and I'm happy to see Henderson at RT.
  7. i agree in that i most likely see henderson moving to rt, mostly because he has been so good at lt. it probably won't be seamless but i think he really is the best option.
  8. I also join the reasoning the we don't see him until Chicago, at least. Let's not forget what happened to Fitz when he got a rib injury. It didn't stop him from playing, but damn, did it effect his performance.
  9. Hmm. Forgive my curiosity, but how do you see things shaking out with Cockrell. We've mostly been bullish on him, but I remember when we were with Brooks. I know he needs some work, and I know that he has quite a deep group ahead of him with Gilmore, McKelvin and Graham.
  10. I liked the pick a great deal. I do think it's fortunate that he has two very good corners ahead of him as he develops (4th round pick after all) but he has the size that Ron Brooks lacks, and I can possibly see him moving to FS if need be. All in all, I am very happy with the pick right now.
  11. Being one who has taken the title "Professional Kool-Aid Drinker" I resemble that remark!
  12. I would also like to remind you of the Bills 6th round pick this year, Mike Williams. But yeah, Sammy has been making it look effortless. Woods might be the guy with EJ's special wavelength, but Sammy can just effortlessly turn errant throws into highlight reel plays.
  13. Breaking story! "EJ Manuel wins Super Bowl, Rodak not impressed, says EJ had an"up and down game, with only 10 Touchdowns. Likely to be cut"
  14. Like they say in the article, that's what a 14 playoff drought will do to you.
  15. Quick! It's an emergency! I need to find my phone! ...because I f'n called it! Horrible and forced pun aside, back when we first got him, I expected him to be a starter on the outside. The fact that Woods and Watkins have been so good that they have him as WR 3 ought to make us giddy, His ability to go up and just get the ball is nothing new. I looked over his highlight reel, and it is just packed with him just snatching balls away, right when they look like guaranteed INT's. That's why I was shocked he didn't come down with the TD in the HOF game. I love that route though, and I'm hoping we see a lot more of it when the season starts...only, you, with him catching the bal.
  16. Yeah, that's what I hoping for at this point. If Glenn comes back, with Henderson on the right, I hope Cyril wins a start.
  17. I wholeheartedly agree. I was holding out some hope that Williams might turn it around, or at least be average. So far, he hasn't done a lot of convince me. I would not be at all shocked if Cyril Richardson steals the job by the end of the summer. Urbik and Hairston may not be blowing me away, but yeesh. Right now, I'm rating our O-line to be our weakest positional group. Hopefully that changes when Glenn gets back.
  18. Indeed. And again, I have to fault the O-line. In the recap, Chris Williams was the reason why Freddie got stuffed on the Goal-line. That right now, more than anything, is what makes me worry.
  19. Well, that looks like that's all we'll see from EJ. That said, apart from Red Zone work, he had a pretty damn good night.
  20. Yeah, the O-line is currently my biggest worry
  21. Yeah...for those of us who were sure that our D was so good...
  22. Considering how good the Panther's D is when they are clicking...
  23. i have to ask if there are two different practices being held. on one hand, ej is looking decent and recievers are making amazing plays and in the other our pure doom. quantum entaglement Maybe?
  24. i would also like to point out that the bills starting d-line left after two series, along with the previously mentioned absense of our two best cbs. when eli manning gets completely stifled by your starters, i'm less worried about what he does to the 2nd and 3rd stringers
  25. great write up wayne. now, trying to buck the trend by being optimistic and still realistic: ej is probably not going to the pro bowl this season. but the model that whaley has been trying to build around is similar to the steelers in their superbowl years. they brought in a large, mostly game manager qb and relied on a stout d. i would like to see ej brought along as a game manager. there are early signs that his mechanics are a bit better. he has wr's that can make plays for him. my biggest concerns are with the o-line at this point, since that will rush him.
