  1. I don't need to know what he does to Robert Kraft!
  2. Thanks for the extended stats. I'm kind of seeing a game plan of what the Ravens did to us: Make Keenum be a QB. Force him to throw to beat us with our secondary playing like it has the last two games.
  3. Very interesting numbers. I think they are also 11th on defense on YPA rushing, but are 17th overall. It seems like they allow a lot of yards, but few points, but struggle to match on offense. Honestly that sounds a lot like how we played the Pats last week.
  4. To me, the Wildcat is not something you build your offense around. It was one of those college concepts that everyone tried for a bit and teams have studied how to beat. That said, all through last season and the Jets game this year, we've been a team where when you need one yard, and your opponents know you need one yard, we can't get it done. I like the Wildcat a hell of a lot more than bringing EJ Manuel on the field for a QB sneak.
  5. Well, for better or for worse, the NFL (when at it's best) is about winning And there is a body of work to say that, next week, Marcel Dareus is the best 1 tech DT or NT we can put out there and gives us the best chance to win. Is it unfair to the people who put in there time, but didn't come in with as big expectations? Maybe. The NFL is filled with people who got passed over because someone had a higher draft spot and later prove themselves. But right now, this week, you play him.
  6. I guess it makes sense that less than 2 days isn't enough to get you into the gameplan and make sure you are up to speed. It would be good to have him on Sunday though.
  7. Nice! I heard "expected to be out 4-6 weeks" at the outset of the injury so I would love to see him back for the Dolphins.
  8. I don't think it's you, offensive play calling has been better with Lynn. I don't know about his ability to add wrinkles and design an offense, but he sure seems able to edit Roman's grand scheme into something the runs quicker.
  9. Ehh, with the rules in place now, you really need a big pressure up the middle. Now, you can spread 5 wide, run a WR at a TE and pray you get defensive PI.
  10. Looking over Pats* fans, I figured out why so many annoy me so much. And it's not them, it's all the talking head media people who flock to them. Somehow, the Pats are considered Schrodingers team: They are a brilliant when they are winning, but their losses are because they somehow beat themselves with nothing to do with the quality of their opponents, but yet are still brilliant. When the Broncos were beating them in the playoffs, it wasn't about historically good defense we were watching, it was that they shut down *Brady*.
  11. Dareus? Immediate impact. You could see in the Jets game a complete inability to get pressure up the middle. Shaq, I think, takes the role of Hughes in Pettine's scheme, the guy you bring on the edge rush on the third and long to pancake 'em. LorAx is playing well enough that you don't have to force the transition.
  12. I do feel bad. I don't hold any ill will for walking away from a bad scheme fit to the DC he played best under. And he's been playing very well as an Eagle. But Schwartz is not a cure all.
  13. I would take him in a hot second. ST has been better, but the years Bobby April was doing it for us we were special at it. Agreed. They have looked terrible two years in a row with a #2 overall pick supposed to save the franchise.
  14. In the meanwhile, Brisket was well done
  15. I waa devestated when Ragland went down, but Brown has taken care of business.
  16. I can't believe that by me they are prempting Bills vs Pats for Cleveland vs Washington. If I could conjure two teams which look like the dregs of the league It's them
  17. My reaction to OP: HAHAHA HAH. HA HAHAAAAAA-Oh god you were serious
  18. I keep hearing it too! And I'm still amazed. I know, glass houses, but it is not as if they are in a division with someone with Patriot level dominance. It's the Titans (so much for Mularky), the Texans and the Colts. This was a division won at 9-7.
  19. That's what I thought! Newton is struggling though. Not so much that I would not swap him for Tyrod in a heartbeat (and I like Tyrod) but it's noticable. Then again, so was Aaron Rodgers up until this week.
  20. As much as I hate Brady, he might be the greatest of all time when it comes to reading a defense and getting the ball out in the perfect spot.
  21. Basically it was this: "Rex, how will you deal with whoever the Patriots use at quarterback?" "Do they have another one of the 0.1% of quarterbacks like Brady who can get rid if the ball in less than 2 seconds and make you pay on a blitz?" "...no?" "So we're going to try to hit him."
  22. Because expectations are not high for San Fran this year. Blaine Gabbert is their starter, Chip used up his bag of tricks with the Eagles. Chip likes to be the star of the show and college let's him do that, and LSU is a plum gig.
  23. And we're on to New England! Seriously though, I will be keeping a very keen eye out on their QB situation. I am sure that we may know more as the week develops, but I would much rather play Brisket or some street free agent that threw into the fire at the last minute.
  24. Amen! Believe me, the ability to close out games is a worry to me, but that was a team that is picked as an easy playoff lock by most "experts". For the first time today I saw the team that we were promised this offseason.
