  1. Just thinking...does this count as another Josh Allen 4th quarter game winning drive?
  2. Yeah Norman looked heads and shoulders better than what we've been getting out of Wallace
  3. Whew I didn't need my xanex on this one but it was close
  4. That is relying on the idea that refs are consistent in any way
  5. My wife is a big Eagles fan and after the Bills game was over I watched the OT with her. I have to say, I have no idea what happened to Carson Wentz. Three years ago he was looking like the way Josh does now. After his injury he never quite looked the same, but he at least looked above average. He has looked terrible thus far, and the Eagles are in serious cap trouble so that's likely not changing any time soon.
  6. I confess, I don't know the Raiders all that well because they've been so middle of the pack recently. Is there a reason why they are expected to do so well after going 11-21 in the last two years and not making any huge acquisitions that I can see. Yes, I saw they beat the Saints, but the Saints are looking surprisingly vulnerable. I don't want to get cocky, I just want to know the real areas for concern
  7. I also hated the pick at the time, and was a "wrong josher". That didn't last too long, and I like to think I started to come around last year. I also do want to ask: who here saw this coming, to the extent that he's started? I hoped for improvement. I would have been happy with a 250 yard per game average and a 65-68% completion rate. I did NOT see second in the NFL in yards per game and passing touchdowns with a 71.1% completion rate. It's even more encouraging to see the kinds of passes that have been made: ones with touch, placed where no one else could have had a chance on it. that makes me happier than the raw numbers.
  8. A little while ago they had gone on record calling him a genius is it bad that I want them to keep him for one more year, so that the ineptitude continues?
  9. I appreciate hard knock defense. I loathe watching a DB run press for 5.1 yards and get flagged when a pass got thrown on the other side of the field. From the replay I saw, the DB played tight press and didn't just let himself getting run over. I might not like the rule, but it gets enforced on us all the time and is absolutely black letter law.
  10. I can live with it, but it's crazy to me that up into the DPI it looked like the refs would call any little thing on the Bills and give every benefit to the Rams. The DPI was one of those ticky tak calls that drove me crazy in the last twenty years, but that is clearly the direction that the NFL has chosen to go to. I think it should be fixed but until it is we play by those rules.
  11. I did the same. I had gotten home at halftime, hoping to sit down to a blowout. I turned it off after the fumble because I felt like I was cursing them . You will feel no judgement from me.
  12. yeah, there is plenty to be upset about, but the Rams are a legit team and an offensive powerhouse. McVay is considered a play design genius and absolutely torched Schwartz's defense in Philly last week. We beat a good team. They get paid too EDIT: HAHAHA dumbass me misread the tite
  13. Refs must be betting with the spread
  14. Beane looking like a genius with Davis
  15. I agree, though I suspect they come in with a different game plan than the one I watched vs the Eagles when the game was down. They know that Schwartz likes to play man to man, and the Eagles play aggressive so they did a lot of misdirections and sweeps. I think that our zone is better suited against that, but I would really love it if someone who knows better does a breakdown.
  16. I also do want to say this: Keep your eye on the Dolphins next year. They still have too many holes this year to compete (IMHO) but they finally seem to have ownership and a coach that are doing what McDermott and Beane are doing on our end. I desperately hope they do their typically "big flashy free agency signing that puts them in cap hell" mode, but it's notable to see a difference.
  17. I'll happily eat some crow about that as well. I remember cheering at "Josh" and yelling "Nooooo!" at Allen. I was wrong. Very wrong. He's coming along slow and steady, and the scary thing is that he still has room to grow.
  18. Fair enough, but you could argue that the defense had kept it close. This was one where the D desperately needed help, and Josh was easily the best player on the team.
  19. I'm too used to seeing those against us!
  20. I think we can say that we have the first game when Josh put the team on his back and carried them to victory
  21. I can't wait until we don't have to sweat it out against mediocre teams, but a couple of things. A) Allen looked amazing. He looked like a real, franchise QB B) I was wincing on the deep throw on third and long, but I am so happy that we actually went to win it with the Dolphins really giving it their all Fitz turned it on and yet we still managed to win. I'm going to go have a heart attack now, thanks.
  22. Allen is looking amazing. Are the Jets terribad? I had thought their D-line was at least supposed to be good and Allen is making them look like high schoolers
  23. I worry because I suspect we will see sloppy football from this crazy off-season. Anything can happen. That said, the Bills are top down more talented and the Jets are injured Agreed. We have a tough schedule against the AFC and NFC West that will tell us where we really stand. Let's not get hung up on what happens week 1
  24. Honestly, I'm ready to say goodbye. I know he's guaranteed money but at a certain point I think it is a sunk cost. Are they putting Espensa in his spot?
