  1. Also, let me just say because it is my birthday and I am feeling entitled, !@#$ Flutie.
  2. Right, but for a long time people could not buy another NFL video game because EA paid NFL to not allow it. Immediately after paying for this, they jacked up the price almost 100%. That's the definition of monopolistic behavior as it is generally recognized by the courts, strategically working to provide customers fewer options, and then profiting from it. But if you disagree, then I guess you disagree.
  3. Do you disagree that this was a monopoly, or do you think monopolies should be legal?
  4. http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/163376-we-can-still-win-9-games/ This conversation seems familiar. Sure, we could run the table, and I would even agree that we are in a better position than most of the league to do so when considering our remaining schedule. The problem is that so far we have shown we win ~50% of the games we could / should (see Cleveland, KC, Cincinnati.) So it seems highly unlikely that we go 100% for the rest of the season. Yes you are delusional. But I appreciate your enthusiasm.
  5. It's not about seeing the difference. It's about seeing that the difference does not render the more recent behavior harmless or meaningless.
  6. Monopolies are illegal. This is how they are punished after the fact. If you don't like it, write your congress representatives and let them know how you feel about it.
  7. Did you ever wear an onion on your belt?
  8. Great, the post apocalyptic world needs wiseacres.
  9. smug self righteousness combined with sarcasm is making me angry. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E5Hrvza9FkM

  11. Silence over http://nfl.si.com/2013/11/06/jonathan-martin-miami-dolphins-richie-incognito/?sct=hp_t2_a1&eref=sihp Bart Hubbuch ✔ @HubbuchNYP Hartline is outraged because he says Martin was passing the voicemail around earlier in the year and laughing about it. 5:28 PM - 6 Nov 2013
  12. I understand the difference. I don't think the reaction here has been based on a belief that he was physically threatened, so I don't understand your point.
  13. Yet you admit to judging Martin and that's ok. I don't get it. I'm kind of tired of bringing this up, but I'm more tired of reading "quick to judge" from someone who admittedly passed judgement on the first page of this thread when we had a lot less information than we do now. I doubt that he physically felt threatened, or he would have contacted team security or law enforcement. So?
  14. Is Foles or Keenum available?
  15. Should have voted for Monty Brewster.
  16. Yeah, it seemed to me just like a question of trust - Carol didn't trust the group to make the right decisions, and Rick didn't trust Carol to come to the group before taking drastic measures. Also, I don't feel like Rick actually forced her to leave, he was just letting her know that he was going tell everyone what happened, and leave it to the group (assuming there was still a group at whatever point they make that decision.)
  17. I was following this series and kept wondering who was going to cover this, always thought it was Slim's best song. I guess they saved the best for last.
  18. Wow, surprised at some of the reaction here. I guess I shouldn't ever be surprised that people on here are arguing. It's what we're here to do.
  19. 1. There is a difference between on field vs. off field interaction, I think we all get that. 2. These guys are teammates, this is not trash talk. 3. I'm going to rip your head off does not come close to what was said. You're minimizing a serious thing, and the idea that this was in the context of friendship / goofing around seems highly unlikely given the circumstances. More fuel. A lot have already been speculating on this, so it's not too surprising. http://deadspin.com/report-coaches-told-richie-incognito-to-toughen-up-j-1459210109
  20. The content of the voicemail leaves no room for nuances or interpretation.
  21. Or that he didn't trust his boss to do the right thing.
