  1. If ever there were a player in the history of the NFL that needed a change of scenery, it's Robert Griffin III. If there's any merit to Washington's willingness to trade him, I expect the Bills to make a push.
  2. billsequipment‏@billsequipment1 min1 minute ago .@C42Clay will wear jersey #85 for the @buffalobills Go #Bills
  3. Isn't 2016 the highest cap hit for Clay? To my knowledge, it drops significantly in 2017, at which point Mario's contract will be up (and it's possible he re-signs at a much lower cost). Ideally, only 2016 needs a major cap workaround.
  4. The Bills already announced Jerome Felton will wear #42, which is the number he wore in Minnesota. Of course, perhaps he can be persuaded.
  5. Ha, yeah he was pretty clearly goading Dolphin fans into responding, and it looks like he got the response he was after. He's like an addict that needs a fix.
  6. @ByTimGraham: Those indignant Dolphins fans are awful quiet tonight.
  7. I used to think Calvin Johnson was the greatest WR of all time... now I'm not so sure: 2007 (Lions) 7-9 2008 (Lions) 0-16 2009 (Lions) 2-14 2010 (Lions) 6-10 2011 (Lions) 10-6 2012 (Lions) 4-12 2013 (Lions) 7-9 2014 (Lions) 11-5
  8. Also, the Dolphins have already accomplished as much cap finagling as they're able to, with a number of holes now left in their roster as a result. The Bills have numerous cap saving options at their disposal with consideray fewer holes to fill. His reporting is based on his "gut" not fact. It reeks of "truthiness".
  9. I don't think Clay is limited in the sense that he cannot fit multiple schemes, but yes, I do think Roman covets him for how well he fits his particular scheme.
  10. According to the link, they flew into Boca on Tuesday and had a quick turnaround back to Buffalo out of the same airport. So, more than likely, yes.
  11. Yes, I know. That was my response in the original thread when the link was first posted. My point is, they flew into the same Boca Raton airport on Tuesday when they picked up Clay.
  12. To refer back to the Pegula jet flight tracker thread which was merged into this one: according to the above link, Pegula's jet touched down in Boca Raton at 3pm on Tuesday, which jibes with reports that the Bills arrived in Florida to pick up Clay just as free agency opened. It would be reasonable to expect some kind of news within the next hour or so considering the jet's current flight is arriving right about now at 5:30.
  13. Yes, but he still knew nothing about the Bills and offered zero insight--- which was probably also true of the other AFC East teams.
  14. Omar Kelly doesn't have "sources", according to many Dolphins fans and WGR's Sal Capaccio (he lived in Southern Florida for many years), amongst others. He's just a **** stirrer, like Jerry Sullivan. Whenever there is inside information to what the Miami Dolphins are planning, Omar Kelly is usually the last to know.
  15. The NFL knows that fans will consume any and all content pertaining to their favorite teams. Reporters like Chris Brown are employed by every team to write articles for no other reason than to generate traffic to their website. That's it. It's just another opportunity to read opinions, player/coach interviews, stat analysis, etc and it's all free. It increases the chances fans will buy merchandise and tickets, but the content remains free. I don't think anyone is pretending that Chris Brown is challenging Woodward and Bernstein for breaking stories.
  16. KBCT is Boca Raton. Of course, the Pegulas live there.
  17. FWIW, if you believe Joe Chenelly is wired in to someone at OBD, it sounds like it's still a possibility that Spikes is re-signed once the dust settles on Clay, OG, etc: @jchenelly: Good questio, @rmarx188. @BrandonSpikes51 wants to return. The front office has a lot of things to sort out still. #Patience
  18. I'm not sure it's handcuffing them. Whaley has said publicly that they have that option in their back pocket. If they need to restructure, they will. They won't until there's an actual need.
  19. Yeah, it surprised me how often he lowers his shoulder and initiates contact--- and wins. It makes sense why Minnesota used him so often with traditional RB handoffs out of the backfield; he can handle it.
  20. Despite his stellar year in 2014, Murray is very underrated. So many are quick to credit the Dallas offensive line for his production last season, but his efficiency over the duration of his career has remained steady. He was more or less as good in 2014 as he's ever been, but several contributing factors (including improved O-line play, health, etc) lead to his dominant statistics. Having said that, despite the fact Murray is an excellent RB, McCoy is the superior talent. I'd welcome either on the Bills from a talent perspective, but if I could choose I'd choose LeSean.
  21. According to John Murphy, the NFL prohibits teams from announcing signings after 4pm on weekdays. Expect it to be official sometine Monday morning.
  22. I don't hate Sully or WGR... in fact, I don't actually hate Rodak, but Rodak is fairly crummy at his job. He's not at all a reporter and his writing is mostly just copy and paste. If he weren't a Pats guy, no one here would pay much attention to him except to occasionally recognize his bland inability.
  23. No, I'm aware of all that, I didn't clarify what I meanr. I was only referring to "negative" comments about Taylor not developing. It's been used as shorthand in a few articles but there's no evidence (that I've seen) suggesting Harbaugh was actually disappointed in his overall development.
