  1. Joe Chenelly@jchenelly · 7 mins7 minutes ago #CharlesClay said he wants to stay with #Dolphins, but there is a reason #Miami felt a need to tag him. He will entertain the #Bills offer.
  2. I'm really sick of Mary Kay Cabot and the Browns: @MaryKayCabot: #Browns have expressed interest in Darrelle Revis, who played for Pettine in NY per league source
  3. McCoy giving a shout out to Bills Mafia downtown, via WGRZ: https://vine.co/v/OE0Qq5P9Jlw
  4. That's nice to hear, good on him. I sincerely hope the news is true that another team is going to offer him a big contract. I wouldn't have had any issue with him returning, but not under a big contract.
  5. The Pats aren't picking up his option but they're still actively negotiating with him on a new deal. It's still likely he remains in New England. If the Bills could make it work, though...
  6. If Rex Ryan and Greg Roman don't like Bryce Brown then Whaley needs to find an amicable compromise. If Rex and Greg wish to move on from Fred and Pegula obstructed them, that's a problem. I think a lot of things are on the table right now being discussed and no decision was considered concrete. Unfortunately, when a potential move like "cutting Fred Jackson" leaks to the public, it creates a firestorm. All the angst and hand wringing could be the result of private internal discussion leaking out from a disgruntled member of the front office that wants to release Fred. Hopefully, the Bills brain trust is unified in their vision for putting together this roster.
  7. It's entirely possible that the Pegulas didn't like the negativity associated with releasing Fred. There have been concerns that Terry has been a "meddler" with the Sabres, but it's hard to really peg.
  8. Tim Graham‏@ByTimGraham52 secs52 seconds ago Bills source tells me Fred Jackson "isn't going anywhere." Second source tells me Terry Pegula got involved. Stay tuned.
  9. It's not that cut and dried. The Bills don't think Brown sucks and they think Fred is old, or at least close enough to the edge. When the trade was made for Brown, consensus opinion on this board and in the media was that Bryce was the eventual replacement for Fred Jackson. It was inevitable that day would come. This isn't a case of Whaley trying to "save face". It would be impossible to "save face" by cutting one of the most beloved athletes in Buffalo sports history.
  10. Joe Buscaglia just said on WGR this morning that if Fred is cut, there will be interest from several "winning franchises", including perhaps New England. If that's true, why isn't he good enough for the Bills? Then again, it's more than likely other teams haven't pored over his game film from last year to the extent that Rex and the Bills coaches have.
  11. If Greg Roman likes Kaepernick then that's all I'd need to hear if I were Doug Whaley, Rex Ryan or the Pegulas. If that's the case then rest assured they've already got a plan brewing to make this a feasible option. It sounds like that may not be the case, though.
  12. @MaxLuckan: #Jaguars, #Redskins, and #Bucs making push for OT Bryan Bulaga, but #Bucs making strongest push. Bulaga wants $8M per year.
  13. @MaioccoCSN: Trent Baalke: "Colin is our quarterback and we are excited to have him. He is not going anywhere. . ." @MaioccoCSN: "...The media reports suggesting otherwise are without merit and quite frankly ridiculous. -- #49ers GM Trent Baalke.
  14. @MaioccoCSN: GM Trent Baalke strongly denies the 49ers are shopping Colin Kaepernick. @VincentFrankNFL: What. Do you expect Baalke to say "sure, we are shopping Kaepernick?" @JasonLaCanfora: Reached out to several QB-needy teams. Have yet to hear from one who has had talks with 49ers about Kaepernick for those asking @JaysonBraddock: Story has been verified by 3 different sources. Time will prove it. Been here before.
  15. Nothing new can be learned this summer that isn't already known. Plus, releasing him now gives him a better chance of continuing his career, FWIW. My personal preference is to keep Fred, btw. But I'm biased.
  16. @JeremyWGR: I put Kaep odds very very low. Guy we talked to in SF said Kaep was the problem in SF offense while raving about Roman. Don't see it happnin
  17. Fred freely admitted he's lost more than a step--- in preseason. He said he increased his leg/core strength to compensate for the speed loss, which was clearly observable early in the season. I'm not saying I necessarily think Fred is done as an NFL RB, I'm just saying the film is clear that he's close to the end of the line. It would be understandable for any franchise to consider turning the page at this point.
  18. @JaysonBraddock: Hearing two teams are already inquiring. Working to verify team names...
  19. @CharlesRobinson: If Colin Kaepernick is on the trading block, #49ers would take a $9,863,012 cap hit on the remainder of his signing bonus. This seems wild.
  20. There's no chance any of this is what is happening. More than likely, Rex saw on film that Fred is in a full decline and after crunching numbers it was determined that he could be released without any dead cap penalty. 34 year old RBs have a short leash even when they're beloved.
  21. @JaysonBraddock: BREAKING NEWS: 49ers have put Colin Kaepernick on the trading block. Taking offers. Braddock is a reporter for Houston Sports Radio 790 @JaysonBraddock: I had to double check myself & I wrote it. But, no, Kaepernick is being shopped RT @sjimcar is this a fake Jayson Braddock acct?
