Dallas and Washington having a bidding war over Cowher will not just mean that Bill goes to one of those two teams, but the price of Shanny will go up as well. Us vs. Washington, Cleveland and the likes isn't that bad because we actually will have the leverage of being not that absolutely horrible. (Trust me, we may be 3-7, but we've been in game [talent wise] against good teams NE, NO, HOU, JAX - where a better coach nets us a win)

When you tell a team, "when the season is over", what you're really saying, is that you'd rather coach for other teams. People aren't renewing season tickets yet either, until after a big time coach is named. Also, if you're going off the "money theory"...no merchandise sales would replace the money lost in the firing. If anything, this move netted negative money for the Bills. Do you know how far down the list merchandise sales are to a franchise of our caliber? We're not the Cowboys. I respect Tim Graham, and so I'll assume that he said that very lightly. There is no way a team made a firing for that reason. It would be so troubling if that were so, that I'd stop rooting for them entirely. I'm not though, because that is one of the most unfounded theories I've read on this firing (and there have been plenty bad ones).

I'm not sure what you mean at all. Is it stupid because there is no difference between Jauron/Fewell as lame-duck HCs? I'm not really sure what you expect with a mid-season firing. No one has fired their incompetent coach in the middle of the season and replaced him with an outside coach with a proven record. There needs to be a step in between.
