  1. Why are you being so difficult? You're the first person I've ever encountered who tries to refute a win. It's strange. He has a 5 game winning streak, but you don't want him to play.
  2. Why argue against the winning quarterback? He hasn't done anything to lose those games.
  3. Yeah, and one was caught for a touchdown.
  4. Only one stat matters.
  5. Sam Aiken = Justin Jenkins.
  6. Yep.
  7. This thread sucks.
  8. Wow. That didn't take long.
  9. What a strange thing to say.
  10. How is that bum a head coach?
  11. I agree with you, but you're too run obsessed. Teams can't actually pound the ball on us, it's deceptive. We have that weird (and absolutely horribly) bend but don't break defense. At first, I thought it was funny to keep saying that 5 or 6 times a game, but I've finally realized that it really is the defensive game plan. Allow the team to do whatever they want in any 7-10 yard pattern, with the idea that eventually they'll lose a down and go down field. Once they've lost a down, they panic and start to throw. Teams with good quarterbacks know to just throw to the down and out receiver. All other teams lose to us. And so, my main criticism with your season predicting stats, is that you think we lose the games we'll lose based on defense. I think we'll lose the games we'll lose based on our offensive game plan (or lack thereof). Every time a team successfully prepares for us, we will lose. Our only hope is that the team has no confidence in Fitz, and actually calls successful running plays. A 70/30 ratio, with our RBs could actually mean we can pull out some games...but I don't coach this team, skeletron does.

  13. That's a solid point. Pioli, had no career though, and was only 44. A GM position seemed the only correct move. Reese has been a successful GM, and perhaps enjoys being a senior advisor. I don't know really how to argue your point though, other than that. Let's just say I'll be shocked if this dude welcomes an interview for the job.
  14. I'm not sure. Obviously I'd take anyone with any winning record right now, but its reallllly easy to play devil's advocate with this one. I just don't see how the move is anything that will look good in his eyes.
  15. 10/25 @ Carolina Panthers - Probable Loss 11/01 HOUSTON TEXANS - VERY tough opponent 11/08 BYE 11/15 @ Tennessee Titans - Will probably get their first win 11/22 @ Jacksonville Jaguars - Only team we'll be able to actually outcoach 11/29 MIAMI DOLPHINS - Should win 12/03 NEW YORK JETS (Toronto) - Most likely loss on schedule 12/13 @ Kansas City Chiefs - Okay, we'll win this game. All of those games (except in Kansas City) I can see us losing. We have to win at Carolina and at Tennessee before I'm confident. If we do that, I'll get back to you and agree that we should be optimistic. Until then, its not looking good.
  16. Aaron Schobel - 123 Games - 3 INT - 71 Sacks - 317 tk - 132 asst - 19 FF Ryan Denney - 100 Games - 23.5 Sacks - 183 tk - 97 asst - 6 FF - 2 Receiving TDs Chris Kelsay - 100 Games - 3 INTs - 19 Sacks - 185 tk - 95 asst - 4 FF Two Questions: One, why did we do that? Why would we commit to DE in three straight drafts, but never try and get a top one? In the three drafts we selected Clements, Williams, and McGahee in the 1st round. It seems weird that we recognized the blaring need, but never decided to really go for it, reserving the position for the second pick. (It can be argued that aside from the Williams pick, RB and CB were not exactly priorities) Two, how is it possible that in a back-up position Ryan Denney has managed more sacks than Kelsay? How is that even possible?
  17. He's with the Patriots though. Why would he leave them to join the Bills, where careers go to die?
  18. Stats are a bit skewed after two monster rushes last week.
  19. Someday...you'll understand.
  20. Two questions: 1) Do you have some data confirming the validity of these mocks? In recent years have you guys been at all accurate? I think it'd be really interesting to see just how these seemingly intelligent mocks stack up with the sometimes irrational drafts. 2) Is Naaman Roosevelt still projected to go in rd 4, or has his stock slipped?
  21. Why have you posted this like 6 different times today? Didn't your Dad ever tell you? Only one stat matters.
  22. 1st, 1st, 3rd, 21st. Seems about right. You can't return punts forever. That's probably a standard regression for top punt returners. If you actually get excited when the other team is punting because we have a "specialist", then I truly feel bad for you. Decent punt return specialists can be picked up in the 7th round. We're just dumb enough to waste a 2nd round pick on one.
  23. And he did that in one half...his first half, ever.
  24. Hahahaha. I love that you're using stats to justify why Fitz isn't the answer. He's obviously not the answer (and also doesn't have a cannon for an arm), but he's basically the same as Edwards. A possible upside here and there, and downside here and there, the point being: Fitz isn't the answer, but man, Trent certainly isn't either.
