Why the fixation with hiring a big-name coach?
billsfreak replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There is one requirement to meet in order to qualify to be the new Bills head coach, the ability to say "Yes Sir." -
Why the fixation with hiring a big-name coach?
billsfreak replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
90%, now that is funny. Cowher was in Pittsburgh what, about 15 years? Two Superbowl appearances, one win, and about 5 or 6 losses in the playoffs at home when they had homefield throughout the playoffs. 90% might be about 75% too high don't you think? -
Vic C saying its Perry as HC
billsfreak replied to bills_fan_in_raleigh's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Who else could it be? After the way his defense has been playing, it was an obvious choice. In all seriousness-WTF? His defense has sucked, and now he gets promoted to HC? I shoudln't be surprised, this organization has no clue what so ever. You knew Ralph would chose someone who wouldn't add a new salary to the payroll, after all that is the bottom line-$$$$, who gives a crap about winning around here? -
Why the fixation with hiring a big-name coach?
billsfreak replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The fixation might be because the Bills have shown over the past decade and a half that hiring successful coordinators or retread former head coaches obviously hasn't worked around here. What other options are there that haven't been tried as of, oh say the turn of the century? -
Theory on why Jauron was fired this week
billsfreak replied to fairfaxbill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The answer to that is so easy, because Ralph Wilson and the Bills might be the most clueless organization in the NFL It would only make sense to a 9 year old kid to fire him a week earlier if you were going to, so the team could have two whole weeks over the bye to attempt to get things in order with a new HC. It shouldn't surprise anyone when this team does retarded stuff like this, it is common place around here. -
Why do you hate Wade Phillips? It has come out over and over since then that he was ordered by Ralph to start Johnson, that Flutie was Phillips' choice. Those two never got along after that, resulting in the way that Wade Phillps was let go, and Ralph tried every way he could to get out of paying the remainder of his contract, that he owed him.

I watched alot of the replay this past weekend, and even the team then was great compared to what we have now. The only thing that still pisses me off about the whole game (other than the obvious bad call at the end) was the fact that thanks to Ralph forcing Wade Phillips to play Johnson over Flutie he costs us a chance at the Superbowl. Watching Johson fumble around and fall in the endzone for a safety almost made my stomach empty out. If Flutie plays in that game, the Bills have one more Superbowl appearance to their history.

Honestly, can it get any worse? You can't go any further down than the worst in the league.

Brandon got his work cut out for him.
billsfreak replied to gjv001's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I wouldn't call anyone an idiot, especially someone who follows this disaster as much as I do and for as long as I have, but don't Bills fans fall for the same crap year after year, front office after front office, coaching staff after coaching staff? Yes they do, so does that make all of us idiots? Ralph has thousands of Western New Yorkers under his thumb, like Yo-Yos attached to our wallets. The sad thing is, even Browns fans will protest in public, all Bill's fans do is B word online in forums like this, or amongst each other, but come gameday, the stadium if full, and Ralph's wallet is even fuller, so it is all his gain and our loss and nothing will ever change. Heck if I could make million after million without putting anything into it, I probably would too, but it still sucks. -

Same thing they do every 3 to 4 years, and what has it gotten us? The same old garbage no matter who is running the show or shall we say the Circus! -
New free agents on the way to Buffalo
billsfreak replied to Billsguy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
UFL, CFL, Arena League 2, MISL, Indoor Lacrosse, East Coast Coast Checkers League, anything is more promising right now than coming to play for the TeriBills. -
I like what Owens did yesterday.........
billsfreak replied to marauderswr80's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I totally agree with you, if you can walk the walk go ahead and talk the talk. Owens hasn't done crap since he got here. He drops every other pass thrown his way, his effort may be the worst of any professional athlete I have ever seen. I was against his signing since the day it happened and still am. The only thing accomplished by his signing, other than selling tickets (which with this organization and clueless owner, make it a total success), was to slow down the growth of the young recievers on the roster, because they don't get playing time. With Owens, everything has always been about him and always will be. He is every bit as responsible as anyone else in that locker room, coach or player or front office personnel for that matter, for this disaster of a season. This organization is challenging Cleveland and Detroit as the worst in the NFL, and at the rate they are going, that title will be all theirs alone real soon. -
Bud Adams flies the double bird at Bills
billsfreak replied to timstep's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Who cares, I have flipped double birds at the Bills more than a few times this season. -
Edwards, Flutie, Fitzpatrick, Bledsoe
billsfreak replied to Marshmallow's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I thought you said you were done with me, but you still chirp in on your losing argument. People who are wrong always have to get in the last word, and that is you in a nutshell dude. -
Everyone is making a big deal of this, but has Omon even played since the regular season started? All he was doing was taking up a seat on the bench anyway. He was one of the players the Bills get all the time, plays great in the preseason against backups and never does anything during the regular season. Kinda like Steve Johnson and a few others.

Are the Bills becoming the team of "has beens" and "nev
billsfreak replied to gjv001's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Quarterbacks are only half of his problem, the bigger problem is he drops more passes than he catches. I know he always has been right at the top of drops, but this year it appears his hands are made of stone, and when he goes up for a ball, it looks like he has some type of muscle disorder, his arms are just flopping all over the place. -

I have been done with you, I am not qualified for the type of help that you really need. I strongly encourage you seek some help for your issues. -

billsfreak replied to Marshmallow's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Right from your post: You said that Flutie is a "winner". I said that no, he was not, If you are not a winner, you must be a loser, so yes you did say he was a loser in a quite clear roundabout way. -
The bar is set really low this week for me
billsfreak replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This team is terrible, in fact the Brown have 2 wins in their last 17 games, both against us. I watch every game, and hope for a win each and every week, but to "Expect" a win, you are setting yourself up for disappointment just about every week. -

billsfreak replied to gjv001's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Do we have any has-beens, maybe T.O., other than that it is a team of Never has beens, and never will be's. -
Edwards, Flutie, Fitzpatrick, Bledsoe
billsfreak replied to Marshmallow's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Flutie may have taken a team to the Superbowl, if a moronic owner didn't put his two cents in and force Wade Phillips to play a surfer boy quarterback in the playoff game against Tennessee. The Bills were the hottest team in the AFC going into the playoffs that season. If winning a Superbowl is the only way you can be a winner, than alot of players that were commonly known as winners, are losers in your book-Dan Marino, Jim Kelly (or anyone who has ever played for the Bills for that matter), Fran Tarkenton, Dan Fouts, Barry Sanders, Eric Dickerson, Earl Campbell, Steve Largent, Cris Carter, Dick Butkus, Ozzie Newsome, Warren Moon, I can go on and on with greats that haven't won a Super Bowl or even made it there period, which by your standards makes them all losers. On the other hand, by your standards the following are winners based on your standards-Trent Dilfer, Doug Williams, Jeff Hostetler, Brad Johnson, etc. To summarize, you are in the minority around here thinking that Flutie is a loser because he never made it to a Super Bowl and won. -
The problem with Dick Jauron is
billsfreak replied to The Senator's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The new prize QB's dad is rich and he pretty much used his money to push Coach Taylor out when his contract expired so the idiot that has been his kids personal QB coach could take over. He basically threw tons of money at the boosters and go this way. They offered Coach Taylor the job at East Dillon after that.
