  1. Apparently you have to keep gassing it up Dank. Even with gas prices as they are, I'll throw in some 20's to benefit the cause. Your wambulance is classic.
  2. In the foreseeable future the ONLY qb i would be ok with us giving up many draft picks for is Andrew Luck. I want Luck on our team in a big way. If we had blown our picks this draft then perhaps we'd be well on our way to getting him. But then our D would suck after drafting our franchise qb. We can't get everything we wish for. I'm glad we got great D talent which we needed in a big way. This doesn't necessarily negate our chance to get a franchise qb next year tho. Just keep adding studs to our roster and in the meantime be aware and awake to adding that one big missing piece (long term franchise qb) when the time is right. No guarantee we'll get him right away, but even if we don't, at least we'll have a stud defense and other quality players. I get the feeling i'm rambling.
  3. Our D is not fixed but it's vastly improved. It will take another draft or two before we can be stocked. We have gotten a HUGE infusion of quality D talent. Last years picks will progress with a year under their belts. We are on our way gentlemen and gentle ladies. There is a plan. Nix, Whaley and Gailey know what the hell they are doing.
  4. agreed. some fans are just classless. No one on this board stoops down to that level though right Whitner didn't exactly endear himself to many here with his tweets but some fans can take it too far as well.
  5. We had a one of the most solid drafts in years. Very happy with this draft overall. No draft has ever been perfect but this one is very solid imo. Grading it out right now is too early tho. We won't know until another 3 years. Then we can see how well the talking heads know what they're talking about.
  6. It's always a good thing when you get a week to coach and evaluate players. So, yes it made a big difference. This was the only year Gailey could get such close quarters evaluations. Next season the Bills should improve and Gailey will be out of the running to coach in the senior bowl. I think it will be hard for Nix and co. to match this years haul next year. We just won't have the close evaluation that Gailey and staff had this time around. But if we get close, then I'll be happy.
  7. for a 7th round pick this guy has good skills. bpa. if he was it then that's dandy with me in this round.
  8. She's ok. Kate's way hotter tho!
  9. I recall how ecstatic I was during that 4-0 start. That ended up being a false start tho. I think the next beginning we have like that in the near future will be the real deal. We're building the front 7 this time, how it should be done. It'll take more time yet, but we're on the right path.
  10. Somewhat agree. I think we can give up a low pick for either Alex Smith and or Troy Smith and their careers can be resurrected to decent backup status under Chan's tutelage. But only a man of Chan's skillz would be able to pull this off.
  11. Overall I give our team a solid A. But I'm biased of course. It would have been an A+ if Belyache had a slight coronary and in the midst of it traded away their 2nd and a future 3rd to swap spots with us in the 2nd round.
  12. As I've said before...maybe... but only if lobotomy is part of his contract.
  13. The only other ones I'm missing are Mangold and Orakpo. But we already have Wood, a younger version of Mangold now. We have yet to find our Orakpo but we will in time. So back to the topic. We have all been haunted by what might have been. Haloti Ngata escaped our grasp. David Harris could have been had. Revis was an option as well. These were the fumbles of the past. We have a new GM now who seems to know what he is doing. He's making smart quality picks now and it looks like he's rectifying our past mistakes. Better late than never. Nix and Whaley are doing what needs to be done. I'm thinking Ralph is ok with this and is giving them some reign. It's about damn time football men are in charge and making solid picks. We are overdue with this gentlemen and gentle ladies. I believe (in my own view) this year I will think less and less of bad picks of the past. This is a new beginning. This will be the start of a year when other teams for a change will say (a few years from now) that "damn, we shoulda picked up that player and we let him slide to Buffalo!" It's our time now. Gentlemen we are on our way to an upswing. We have a GM who knows what he's doing. It's finally our time.
  14. Lol Harvey, my sentiments exactly!
  15. Thanks NGU for all your insight and time. It is very much appreciated. Thank you for handling us rabid fanatics in a clear headed manner. We're an extremely passionate lot so forgive us for that. My adrenaline is pumping as the hour approaches!! If Carolina picks Newton I will do cartwheels up and down the street!!!
  16. I probably would..... if i was dating Porky Pig's sister.
  17. The way he lived his life should give us all some perspective.
  18. That's pretty cool. You're actually giving me good ideas for next year's Easter. Thank you for that. On occasion I'll put a live spider in a ziplock bag and put it under the guestroom bed covers when my brother and his arachnophobic wifey visit. My bro and I always get a good laugh out of it when she screams her head off. In the end she laughs too. Your ideas are good. They help to keep even us big kids in the mood of Easter.
  19. Why not give Modrak influence over scouting players picked from rounds 4-7, or 5-7. If he won't be fired, then demote his ass from having any say from rounds 1-3. I think the triad of Nix/Gailey/Whaley already know of Modrak's limitations in scouting though. Just a matter of time (hopefully not long) until his say doesn't hold much or any sway.
  20. Happy Bday! Enjoy your 30's. It's the new 20's you know.
