  1. Seriously? I’ll happily settle for any (injury-free) outcome spelled W I N, then rinse and repeat every week. The Fish are neither food nor friends; just another step to climb w/o tripping…
  2. I lucked into being able to hit The Harp for the FishSquish a few weeks ago, not as crowded as I’ve seen it, but still; a blast. Do any of you have any knowledge of an active Bills bar in RI? There are two that appear on the Bills Backers map of the country, but they appear to be dormant… I’ve got a buddy with a cool, retro bowling alley in Cranston that I’m trying to talk into going in that direction…but he’s pretty thoroughly dyed in the Patsies wool…. A hard sell so far.
  3. Thanks, great explanation, so I went back to the article and watched/read multiple times. This quote is good, imho: ” On the Sanders touchdown, the Bills paired a vertical hook with an out-and-up to the stacked side. On the backside, Stefon Diggs had a go route. The vertical hook is there to draw the eyes of both safeties towards the high hole/post zone. If either safety bites on the hook, Allen can launch it vertical to that side. If both safeties split out to cover the vertical routes, Allen can fire it to the hook. At the snap, Chiefs cornerback L’Jarius Sneed (#38) backed up towards the sideline. The safeties tried to bracket Diggs on the go (the most dangerous player) and the slot (the most dangerous route). Sanders broke out then up, roasting Sneed for the simple touchdown.”
  4. Logic and Coach, great posts. Haven’t read the piece yet and already salivating…
  5. Guv, you didn’t just ring the bell with this take, you knocked the bell off and into the next county. might as well just shut the board down until kickoff…
  6. QB’s get credit for 6 points when they run it in. When they throw to someone else who scores, that player gets the points added to his total.
  7. I just don’t get the Collinsworth hate here. If that was OUR rookie QB, we’d be pretty da*n pleased with that drive, ferchrissakes…
  8. Doesn’t matter how many/what kind of stadiums you build, you can’t change a team into a city, and you can’t change Buffalo into a warm weather city with a new stadium, either. Buffalo is not San Diego. We still kicked their asses the only two times we’ve won a championship.
  9. This is not a synchronized swim team we’re rooting for, it’s football, c’mon now…
  10. I know this is so ‘last century’ of me, but seriously?? A dome?? To me, half of being a Bills fan is rejoicing in being outside watching them, no matter the weather. I watched two of our SB appearances on a TV that we moved outside (with a tarp strung up over it) just so it would feel like we were actually at a Bills game…and yes, it snowed both times, couldn’t have been happier (at least with the weather…).
  11. Who is she? How can I meet her mom?…and what the heyho was this thread about again…??
  12. How you mean (1,1)??? aka, what the heyho is (1,1)?? or, it’s late and I really don’t understand what you mean by (1,1)? or, I’m really tired of typing all those parentheses, etc….. EDIT: is that just “11 personnel” in parentheses-speak???
  13. To my eye, it appeared to be Tre just having some ultra-athletic fun, he knew where his open buddy was, and did a push / alley oop to him?!
  14. This discussion about 14… are we worried that SD is really hurt? When might he return?? Maybe someone slipped something into my beer(s) tonight, but it occurred to me ‘what if we just protect Stefon until we need him?’ In individual games, and over the course of the season in general, is where my thoughts ran to… I know he’s not a china doll, but does it make any sense in the football world to essentially keep him on ice until such time as we need him to help pull out an individual game? And at the end of the year when we need him to be not hobbled by an oblique something or other…
  15. Yes, let’s remember at this time of increasingly frenetic Bills fandom (long- and short-term) that every one of these guys that were cut today would be 1,000% welcome in any gathering, any discussion, any almost anything in all of our lives. “Extreme Bills Mafia Kudos” to all of them, whatever their names are….?!
  16. He emerged yesterday, in the practice thread: https://www.newyorkupstate.com/buffalo-bills/2021/08/bills-star-lotulelei-explosive-in-practice-on-day-10-of-training-camp-efe-obada-continues-sack-party-8-observations.html
  17. Is it just me imagining that you meant to say ‘and the offensive line top 5 and not killing him…..’?? In any case, ‘the offense being sublime’ is a phrase that I’ve not seen the equal of on this board….🙂
  18. LOL, sometimes auto-correct deserves a grin…..
  19. So… Sir Clapalot could conceivably endorse ditching one or both of these “bubble” guys under some scenarios, but this quote sure makes it seem unlikely…
  20. Ahh, and there’s the sneaky devil in the details.. when you’re driving and conversing with passengers in the car with you, they are living/thinking in the same reality as you are. Every one of them is, to one degree or another, aware of the driving realities you’re facing at any given moment. That is absolutely not the case when conversing with someone outside your vehicle. That person is obviously important enough for you to have taken/made the call, and the main consequence of that semi-conscious choice on your part is that you are going to make every attempt to get into their reality. It’s a really slippery slope…
  21. So I “bought you a beer” for that post, wish it could be 10 or 20 of the in-person variety…with all of you. Pinch me….this has to be a dream…
