  1. Promo -Lmao I forgot that clip. In reality this team has plenty of talent they are going to finish 9-7, 8-8 and most likely 8-8. This team just needs a few breaks to be 11-5 and then some playoff experience etc... Is KC more talented? I don't think so but they are well coached.
  2. Zimmer would be excellent as well! Yes Beake was an Offensive coach but seems to have the system in Denver down well enough to be the number two with keys to the car. Is Zimmer a Hybrid guy like Pettine? It doesn't matter if he lets these guys play more on instinct. We have talent.
  3. Denver Broncos Defensive Assistant/D line coach Chris Beake could be worth a look for Buffalo DC. Beake is a Wade Phillips disciple and he could bring an aggressive 4-3 philosophy that could free up the talent on the Defensive roster. If the Bills decide Anthony Lynn is a viable HC then pairing him with some up and coming Defensive talent could be unexpected and prove successful. Fixing the defense needs to be priority number one as this years offense scored a lot of points. This roster has the plenty of talent.
  4. I am right there with you. I have been watching the Bills since I remember. 1978 seems about the first games I can kind of remember. Anyway the Flutie fiasco brought down the franchise of the 1990's. The Bills ruled the 90's and since we have been plunged into the darkest time in franchise history. Now we could be on the brink of 3 non-losing seasons in a row. This years offense definitely scored points. Tyrod is not Jim Kelly but Flutie or even Ferguson he could be. Ferguson took years with OJ and finally developed by 1979. I think Tyrod and McCoy are co-dependent I don't think McCoy would have as good a season with out the running threat that Tyrod presents. Leave to offense alone! The Bills are a Defensive coordinator and some game management skills away from 11-5. O-line depth, a Great safety and the return of Ragland will all help. I for one am not opposed to letting Anthony Lynn have the reigns. We just need a 4-3 coordinator with fresh ideas. DON'T TOUCH THE O!
  5. Hear me out. I know the consensus is blow it up. I think if we were to keep Lynn as OC/ assistant HC then we could bring Back Jim Schwarz as the HC. He could fix the defense even with the current personnel. Then we could pick up Mcloed FA safety from Arizona and go after De'Ondre Wesley G move Miller back to right tackle and hope Wood comes back OK. Also keep Groy for depth and back up C. Pay Gilmore and keep the secondary intact. Keep EJ and Cardell and then draft. In the draft Go: WR, Saftey, LB, WR, DL, OL, QB (Chad Kelly) Take Chad Kelly in the 7th round as a project. Bring in Jim Kelly as a QB coach to work with him. Start EJ as a placeholder. I think this team would win from moment one really run a lot and when Kelly is ready give him the reigns.
  6. Just use lithium and they won't die in the final 2 mins
  7. This is a different base D than Rex has run all year. Much tighter bump and run and the D tackles are being allowed to penetrate. Why did he wait until now to change his approach???? WTF
  8. First- yes I think the defense will be much better next year. 8-12 range in points and yards. Sadly, the frustration is that it probably would have been in the 13-15 range this year if we benched the malcontents early. The power play that happened in the locker room and on the field this year is unfathomable. When Vic published the article bickering bills 2.0 I didn't realize how correct he was. I have a friend who is a little in "the know" at one bills drive. He never says anything to me about insider stuff but told me this was a mutiny. Some speculated that certain players thought they may even be able to get Rex fired and Schwartz brought back as HC. I think Rex is absolutely thrilled that this defense is playing better the more back ups are playing. I think he will have a lot to prove and the defense will be very good next year.
  9. Pats-100 percent sure! Gets at least four sacks against us next year.
  10. Two weeks ago I was 100 percent on board with everything you have said about Rex. However recently some things have been brought to my attention by a person in the "know" at one Bills drive. I have been disgusted by the penalties and lack of discipline but I have been told that so has Rex. In fact behind the scenes he is reveling in the fact that he has the 2nd and 3rd string defense playing right now. I was told this before the Dallas game and I didn't believe it. However the defense then looked very different last Sunday. My friend says that our star personnel has refused to buy in to Rex's defense and in a bold move they have down right tanked. Some believe that they even thought they could get Rex fired in an attempt to bring back Schwartz. I personally have a hard time believing this but last Sunday the defense looked better with the back ups. I have been told it is mainly Mario and Dareus who refuse to buy but combined with sub par Linebackers that has been enough. We have really missed Brandon Spikes as well he was a big part of last years success on Defense. I am willing to give him benefit of doubt going into year two. If we add some 3/4 linebackers and perhaps Wilkerson or the NT from Washington and let Mario go. However the defense better be shut down next year! I think the offense is going to be explosive and Tyrod will get the training wheels taken off!
  11. I think it is the gap-assignment and lack of aggression that has lost these defensive linemen. Can you imagine how Bruce Smith would have responded if he were asked to hold a gap for Preston Brown??? I think the linebackers responded better last year when the D-line attacked and all they had to do is respond and react. I think the linebackers are being asked to think and read and it exposes their physical limitations because it slows already slow linebackers down. Schwartz was able to mask some of their limitations by creating pressure with the defensive line and attacking with the greatest physical strength of the Bills defense.
  12. Russell Wilson- rating 111.8 Tyrod Taylor- 101.8 Wilson has some years in a system etc... Tyrod is doing this as a first year starter. QB is not a problem.
  13. Tyrod = Russell Wilson. I'll give you the HC-GM relationship but they definitely built Defense first which was your initial philosophical disagreement I thought. You said building Defense first is a 20-30 year old ideology, I believe. Yet, Seattle built Defense first and won the super bowl and have had multiple trips to the big game. Their offense is far from top 5 so I think this supports room for a defense first philosophy in today's NFL.
  14. Kyle and Mario will be gone. Unloading those two contracts will free up cap space and Wilkerson is a Rex Ryan guy. Hughes will play OLB. The hard part will be getting Ngata to come to B-lo. Pick up a strong 3/4 captain MLB to run Rex's D. Here it is on paper. I am still not sure Rex will be successful but if he gets this personnel grouping and fails he is done coaching. Marcel ---- Ngata ---- Wilkerson Hughes --- Bradham --- ????? --- Brown A. Williams Graham Gilmore Darby BTW I hate this and would prefer the Bills keep their current personnel, fire Rex and bring in Schwartz as Head Coach
  15. If we unload Mario and Kyle I think we can afford this. It's not our money. So they can have issues all they want but I still think this could be in the cards.
  16. I think if Pegula pulls the trigger and makes the moves necessary to get Ngata and Wilkerson then we will get to see if Rex can indeed still coach Defense in the NFL. Both are UFA's and both love Rex. The are perfect fits for his system and if Buffalo can add a couple good MLB's one of which is field general maybe this D will transform.
  17. I have a feeling Wilkerson will be coming to town. He is a free agent at the end of this season I believe.
  18. That would be the sequel oh god that would be awful:0
  19. "Candy Crush in the Booth" the 2015-2016 Buffalo Bills NFL yearbook as NFL films presents... LMFAO
  20. http://www.syracuse.com/buffalo-bills/index.ssf/2015/01/rex_ryan_explains_firing_jim_schwartz_says_buffalo_bills_defense_will_rank_no_1.html I had to go back and find this article. Read it a check all the buzz-words and bravado. Yet in the end we are a shell...in fact less than a shell of what we were last year defensively. I remember thinking OK Rex is fine if and only if he retains Schwartz. I also think one of the other large losses is Pepper Johnson as Defensive line coach. These boys are made to rush the passer and they know how to stop the run as well. This year is the biggest waste of talent in franchise history. Wade Phillips made a number one defense out of less talent in 1999. Fire Rex and bring in Schwartz and we will make the playoffs next year. I will guarantee it with my Bravado. Get er done Whaley.
