  1. What about Roscoe??? He was having a terrific year before he got hurt.
  2. I will go one step further. Fitz's completion percentage is low because he attempts lower percetage, high risk throws more often. I think with fair to good production from a tight end and a few more screen plays his Comp. percentage would be markedly improved. The Big 3 and most of the other Quarterbacks in question were working with a lead far more often than Fitz was. I would be curious to see the statistics of all the NFL QB's When playing with a lead (Low risk ball control) as compared to when playing from behind (High risk, High Reward)"Flingin it". I would bet that we would find Fitz's stats to be comparable to the best in the league when playing from behind TD %, Long Plays completed, 3rd and Long completion %. These stats are far more interesting because they would show the things like composure, poise, success under pressure. These are the qualities that make a QB great. I would bet that fitz played from behind more than any other QB with the number of touchdown passes he has. Fitz has poise, no QB since drew Bledsoe(His first season with us)Has had the type of poise the Fitz has.
  3. Look there are people around here who ask this team to lose and perhaps Gailey and Nix saw enough and pulled the plug after Miami. I would want to suggest it but it would have been easy to tank for higher draft picks. There is part of me that hopes that this is the case because if it is not no one draft and off-season is going to fix this mess ugh...On a brief side note Fitz is way, way, way better than he gets credit for. What he has done with this offense is amazing.
  4. Dude sorry about the negative post the other day it's not really my style and a little demeaning. I really didn't mean anything by it except I was frustrated with the attitude of what you were saying. I agree that this team needs alot of help but to state the obvious and bash the team over and over and over adnausuem is not productive. I am far from a cry baby, (although I appreciate the Geico quote) I enjoy a healthy happy successful life and choose to spend (and enjoy) my Sundays watch Buffalo Bills football. I find that the product is improving and have enjoyed this season. Is it perfect? Hell no it is not even good yet but with a little patients I think we might get back to the playoffs at some point not that far off. In the mean time I guess all I was trying to say is life is better with out the "Bitchin'" I leave that to my wife.
  5. Man he would be a BIG target out there! I wonder how he moves in space? Probably tough to take down though. This is a position change I never saw the coaches making. We have done it before though with success (Jason Peters). Wrotto from OL to WR didn't see it comin. whats his 40 yd speed??
  6. That's it I've seen enough of your negative posts to know you are a TROLL! Go post somewhere else because you are obviously not a Bills fan and they don't need your negative vibes. Ahh that felt good. Look we get that you don't like the Bills. Go Away.
  7. Here is his stat line- Rushing 71 att 5.5 cpg 278 yds 3.9 ypc 21.4 ypg receiving 24 rec 157 yds 6.5 avg 12.1 ypg 41 long He also has 933 return yards. Total yards from scrimage = 1368 2 Td's not great but still a fair contribution.
  8. I found the more telling stat. Opposing QB's are rated 92.5 that is the sixth highest in the NFL. That is closer to how I have felt about the pass "D" this year.
  9. It doesn't seem like this can be true maybe it is because no one has to pass against us.
  10. I am not saying that CJ Spiller is going to be the next Great Bills back but if you look into Bills history you will find that his rookie season avg. ypc 3.9 is the same as both OJ and Joe Cribbs. This intrigued me so I then did some more digging. I remember looking at Spiller's college highlight reel shortly after the draft last year and being very impressed. At the time that was that and I was done. Through the course of this season my brother in law, who watches alot of college football, has been suprised at C.J.'s lack of success. He thought he was one of the greatest college running backs of all time. So I decided to reinvestigate take a look at OJ college running style and compare it to CJ college running style . Spiller is not as powerful as OJ but it is the changing of gears and gallop that are very similar. Perhaps CJ just needs a season or two to adjust to the NFL and in the mean time Freddy J is alot like Thurman. I think we as Bills fans are really spoilled with our rich lineage of running backs. Even the backs we discard other teams have coveated. Think about the long line of good to great backs: Cookie Gilchrist, OJ Simpson, Joe Cribbs, Greg Bell, Thurman Thomas, Antowain Smith, Travis Henry, Willis McGahee, Marshawn Lynch, Fred Jackson, CJ Spiller???? everyone but Spiller is a 1000 yd rusher. I just don't think we should be so quick to throw in the towel on CJ. Even our change of pace backs historically have been high round draft picks that another team would use as a feature back. See Robb Ridick, Kenneth Davis, Ronnie Harmon if CJ falls into this categorie but is still a major contributor he is not a wasted pick. I think he will be a star though lets give him a season or two.
  11. So you are saying that injuries played no part in the receiving corps difficulties yesterday? I am not remotely Insinuating that the Bills are a good team this year. I am however pointing out that Fitz's improved Quaterback play was clearly hampered by the loss of David Nelson. David Nelson has been "Money" in the red zone this is undeniable. This year was in the bag before it started and is about growth and learning if you want to comment about what David Nelson's injury did or did not do yesterday fine but there is no need to bring your doom and gloom here. I know what this team is just like every other Bills fan who never misses a snap. They are a work in progress the core of young player is more solid than it has been for sometime. Let's hope that this offseason brings more progress.
  12. You are all forgetting we won the head to head with Cincy...
  13. David Nelson has become Fitz's go to guy in the red zone. As soon as he went down it seem the red zone game plan went out the window. I think at least one turnover the Fitz fumble could be directly attributed to not having his red zone target. Fitz just seemed to be trying to force things I think Nelson would have made a difference.
  14. You are probably right about my positivity but today sucked and I hate dwelling on the negatives of a rotten performance.
  15. I will harken back to the glory years to recall the occasional thrashing our great Bills team of the 1990's would receive. These were usually a result of turnovers against good or great teams. Fitz was miserble today but he still came out swinging again and again. He really had a bad game but his weapons are very banged up and he was still trying to make great things happen. You can pin this loss on him as I am sure he will but you can also pin this loss on the fact that the teams only speed threat to stretch the field was a RB. Instead of complaining or going into a shell Fitz keep trying to make things happen. There will be days like this with any QB who plays his style of football! (see Brett Farve, Jim Kelly, John Elway, Drew Bledsoe, and the list goes on and on..)I for one am not going to throw in the towel on Fitz just based on today performance. I think next year Fitz will have a very good season and the Bills will continue to improve.
  16. Great to have you stop by. Corey is awesome and brings it every down! I hope your right about this organization it has been a long drought. Anyway it is really nice to have someone in your profession stop by and have friendly conversation. Welcome on the board and nice to met you.
  17. Dude!! This is great. Love the line about next year we might even see a game at night. Funny stuff got to love the Auto Tune as well. Nice Falsetto. I almost pissed myself!
  18. Fergy was good with a supporting cast as well. Hell, if he was not hurt in 1980 I am pretty sure that would have been our first superbowl year. Could we have beaten the Eagles? Who knows but Fergy was the second best QB in the AFC only to Dan Fouts that year. He had a great cast though. 1981 was pretty good as well. We should have beaten the Bengals. Anyway he was good with a cast around him as well.
  19. Can you send me some it must be 100 yrs. OLD!! Is McHutchin's????
  20. The Redskin's logo is hillarious as well.
  21. NO ONE IS worse as a linebacker than Kelsey he gets his hips turned the wrong way on every play and gets beat on the cut. He is not physically capable of being good at the position. He is not a bad 4-3 end but linebacker he is not. He dosen't know how to play square to the line and operate in space and his lack of speed compounds the problem because he can't recover when he is out of position. This also leads to him being beaten by being overly agressive and being blocked out of a play up field, case and point his weakness on screen plays. Long and the short Torbor is more physically capable at the position. I am not saying he is good barely passable but with the others this would be a fuctional linebacking corp.
  22. I find it quite interesting that it seems the national media is starting to find a soft spot for our embattled franchise. The last two weeks performances and heartbreaking loses seem to have attracted national interest. There was a time when Buffalo was a national darling in the late 80's thru the 90's but as with everything people got sick of the group that couldn't win the big one and we fell out of favor. I think Chan Gailey is not only a good coach but has an appeal to the national media that our recent coaches have not. I really feel the franchise is about to turn the corner. I also think Merriman could be a big piece of the puzzle. Is Davis out for the season?? If not Merriman, Poz, Davis, Torbor could be alot better LB corp than we have had for a while. Anyway I hope things are looking up.
  23. Mr. Flowers I thought we discarded you years ago. What are you doing back here? As far as talent there is plenty on this roster Offensively. Much like there was in 1986 I remember it well I lived every game of that Era. Defense was the problem then as it is now. Fortunately by 1988 that was fixed and the Defense became dominant.
